This exciting role will work closely with the Director of Fundraising, Individual Giving Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop a strategy, plan and key performance metrics for digital donor acquisition and fundraising. For many it is a huge concern as to whether they will be able to return to their current occupation or employer or whether they will ever be able to work or volunteer again following their spinal cord injury.
Back Up’s vocation service aims to be the leader in supporting people with spinal cord injury to return to work and our Vocation Coordinators are the main point of contact to help service users reach their vocational goals. They work in partnership with spinal units and other stakeholders such as employers to raise aspirations, coordinating activities such as our Skills for Work courses and Careers Fair, as well as providing telephone support to service users.
You’ll be a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills in person, in writing and on the telephone. You’ll enjoy planning and delivering work to see projects through; be that independently or as part of a wider team.

Affiliate Fundraising Training Consultant (Part-Time)
Summary
The Wikimedia Foundation is the non-profit organization that operates Wikipedia – one of the most popular websites in the world, viewed 15 billion times every month. Alongside the Wikimedia Foundation, our movement is composed of affiliate organizations, independent organizations established to support volunteers in a specific language, region or topic. Affiliates are funded by the Wikimedia Foundation, and some in independent fundraising to support their activities.
The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a Fundraising Training Consultant to work with Wikimedia affiliates to grow and develop their fundraising processes and capacity. In this one-year, 30 hour/week contract role (with potential option for renewal) you will be responsible for working with affiliates to understand their fundraising needs and challenges, and to provide them strategic guidance and support as they put in place necessary structures and processes that will aid their fundraising efforts. This role will focus on building the capacity of affiliates to raise funds from a variety of new-to-the-movement donors, including government, multinational and multilateral funding opportunities, and local high networth individuals, as well as advising on systems and structures (e.g. Board composition) for strategic fundraising.
With affiliates located around the globe, the person in this role will need to be skilled in relationship management and cross-cultural communication. This role involves close collaboration with affiliate fundraisers and leadership. You will report to the Major Gifts Stewardship Manager (Fundraising) and work closely with the Vice President of Community Growth. This is a one-year contract and remote role that offers flexible scheduling with a commitment of 30 hours per week.

- Training: Provide learning opportunities for affiliate staff to build their skills around mid-level and major gift fundraising.

Skills and Experience

Hounslow Allies
It is the statutory duty of all Local Authorities to offer independent visitors for children in care. In Hounslow the Independent Visitors Service is called Hounslow Allies. Funded by Hounslow Corporate Parenting Department, it has been running for over 15 years. Hounslow Allies recruits, trains, and support adults from the local community to become befrienders to children aged 8-16 who are in the care of Hounslow Council and have infrequent or no contact with siblings who are also looked after children. Independent visitors befriend, guide, advise and encourage children, engaging them in a range of activities to help build self-esteem and develop new skills and interests.
Role Purpose
To deliver all aspects of our Hounslow Allies project, ensuring it achieves its aims, objectives, outcomes and targets. The post holder will work closely with a range of departments with the Children’s Services department of Hounslow Council and volunteers to ensure that we are consistently offering new independent visitors to children in care and supporting those that are already matched.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- To effectively deliver the service to ensure the project meets its agreed targets and milestones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders and local authority staff at a day-to-day level.
- To ensure volunteers are recruited, appropriately trained and supported in their role; this will involve processing volunteer expenses, DBS checks and maintaining databases.

- To join the National Independent Visitor Network and deliver Hounslow Allies in line with the national quality standards.

What you’ll bring:Experience
- Preferable, fundraising experience of 1 year, in a community engagement or fundraising role in the charity sector.
- Demonstrable experience in building relationships within the community and with fundraisers.

About the role:
The Senior Multiple Needs Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) will work within a dynamic, crisis intervention, advocacy and support service based at the CGL Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The IDVA will provide support in the local community and at the Ealing Women’s Wellness Zone. The successful candidate will be co-located up to 5 days a week at the Women’s Wellness Zone.
The IDVA will be closely working alongside CGL colleagues/team to deliver support to women with a range of complex support needs including substance misuse, mental health, domestic abuse, sex working, trafficking, and offending behaviour. The IDVA will work in collaboration with their team members to holistically support women in the borough of Ealing to achieve sustained recovery, improved health and wellbeing, helping women to manage/mitigate risks, and empowering them to reach their fullest potential in society as well as ensuring the voice of survivors informs every stage of the process.
The Senior Multiple Needs IDVA will assess the needs and risks of survivors, carry out short and longer-term risk management, safety planning and support. As well as identify and refer to services appropriate to their needs. They will also proactively advocate and advice women of their rights and options for seeking help and support from other agencies, encouraging them to engage with other agencies, and help co-ordinate the provision of multi-agency support where necessary.
About You:
To be successful as the Senior Multiple Needs IDVA you will need to have:
Excellent understanding of domestic abuse and its effects on women and children, of best practice in supporting survivors of domestic abuse, and of the MARAC. As well as understanding of drug and alcohol issues and experience of working within a related field.
Bringing your experience of risk and needs assessment, safety and support planning, and crisis planning and successfully managing high numbers of referrals and experience of working in a co-located setting with another agency and providing consultations/briefings to professionals to support in upskilling them around Domestic Abuse. The candidate will have experience of partnership working and of maintaining excellent working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting opportunity for you to work as part of an innovative service, designed to offer multi-disciplinary wrap-around support to women with multiple needs, with the aim of facilitating long-term recovery.
