We're looking for a passionate digital advocate to join our team, to play a key role in delivering our ambitious digital plans and take responsibility for planning and delivering a range of digital projects.
An excellent project manager, product manager, product owner or producer, with a proven track record, you'll have significant responsibility and plenty of opportunity to input your ideas. In this pivotal role you will determine the direction of a range of digital products by aligning audience needs with business and technological requirements. We will look to you to take the lead for planning and developing high profile and quality digital products and services, and to work with internal and external stakeholders to agree, communicate and deliver them.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnering
· Develop a thorough understanding of the Foundation and the business area where you are providing support in order to provide a full people partnering service.
· Translate People strategy and agreed deliverables for your designated business areas into achievable plans and a prioritised implementation map.
· Establish effective relationships with business leads to enable you to provide valued interventions and insights on people management strategies.
· Advise directorate managers on managing people effectively including treating people fairly and professionally to ensure employee engagement and the delivery of Foundation objectives.
· Work with directorate leads to identify skills and capabilities they need to deliver current and future work, liaising with the Talent Management Hub (Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition) to manage the resourcing and talent processes.
· Partner with business area leads to develop learning and development plans for your designated directorate, and liaise with the Learning & Development Manager to identify gaps in levels of capability.
· Work with the Head of Learning & Development to introduce talent mapping initiatives and ensure that leaders and managers within designated directorates are equipped with the skills and confidence to manage effectively.
· In liaison with the People Advisor, provide regular key people metrics with analysis, narrative and ideas to encourage your designated business leads/managers to seek continuous improvements and regular review of individual and team delivery.
· Work with, and bring in, specialists across the People & Culture directorate (e.g., Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, DEI) to respond to planned and emerging people and business objectives.
Advise, manage, and support
· Develop and maintain all Foundation policies, procedures, processes and forms required to deliver a People service capable of ensuring that the Foundation discharges its duties efficiently and effectively.
· Ensure legal compliance of all People processes and procedures, enabling best practice to be attained in providing guidance to managers and employees, and safeguarding the Foundation’s reputation in the execution of its duties.
· Ensure up to date knowledge of all employment policies and procedures and provide advice and input as required.
· Act as a point of contact for employees to discuss confidential matters or grievances.
· Partner with line managers to provide advice on employee issues, coach managers on how to manage people and resolve employee issues including via the grievance and disciplinary processes.
· Stay current on industry trends, employment law and best practice to provide guidance to managers and staff on all People, legal and compliance issues.

· Promote mandatory eLearning and ensure it is undertaken within prescribed timescales.
· Working with the People Advisor and business leads provide oversight of the 360 feedback surveys for end of year reviews for your directorate.

About the Role
The role requires a well-structured and highly organised approach, to ensure delivery and reporting is of the highest quality and a creative and proactive approach, to navigate challenges and hold others to account, when needed. JOB PURPOSE
This role will support the planning and delivery of digital projects and campaigns that aim to raise awareness of the Start Network, build engagement across membership and support the Start team to work in effective ways. The postholder will create, edit and share digital content, manage online communities and will support the planning, development, maintenance and management of digital platforms.
The post-holder will produce and edit a wide range of digital content, including written content and digital media. The post-holder will also support the day-to-day engagement of stakeholders on digital platforms, such as social media, collaboration platforms and other engagement tools. The post-holder will have a good knowledge of best practise in digital while being able to use data to evidence the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
The post-holder will also manage or support new digital developments, such as data visualisation, that will increase stakeholder engagement in our work. Working closely with stakeholders and colleagues, the post holder will support projects to ensure they meet business and audience needs and that they are delivered on time and on budget.
This role will also coordinate third party suppliers in this process.
This role will be full time, based in the UK or another country of Start Network’s operations with occasional travel required.

About the Role
As an Applications Manager, you will play a critical role in managing MSI applications which are underpinned by Microsoft Dynamics technology. Your role is multi fascinated: primary, to enhance and optimize client interactions from the outset, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience. You will play a key role to support our commercial sales strategy with Dynamics Sales and power apps, streamlining our operations and driving sales growth. Concurrently, you will provide technical guidance on the automation of our donor management process, providing the donor team with robust technology to effectively manage and nurture donor relationships.
Collaborating closely with the Senior Applications Manager, you will lead application sprints and provide technical oversight, ensuring our bespoke solutions are not only supported but also set the standard for innovation and transformation. To perform this role, it is essential that you have the following experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical role managing Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM to align with organizational goals.
- Hands-on experience on low code platforms like Power Apps, Power Automate and Logic Apps.
- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft Dataverse
- Proficient in using Azure DevOps ticketing system for project tracking, sprint planning, and issue resolution.
- Proven track record of leading technology projects and teams, with a focus on enhancing client experience.
- Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams.
- Familiarity with the non-profit sector and a strong understanding of fundraising and donor engagement processes.

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of this role is to manage and deliver an effective email CRM programme for ZSL and its Zoos (London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo) across the broad range of audience groups (zoo visitors, donors, members, experience bookers, etc.). The aim is to continuously grow customer acquisition, engagement, value and loyalty as part of an overarching Supporter Journey that has the customer experience at its heart.
Your key responsibilities:
- Design and build on-brand email marketing campaigns from end to end. Including copywriting, building emails on Dotdigital, sending campaigns and manage A/B and MVP testing strategy to ensure continuous optimisation of email campaigns.
- Own the overall email campaign plan and delivery, working with audience owners across ZSL to manage email communications, providing guidance and best practice.
- Analyse and segment customer data and maximise this data to deliver effective targeted activity, managing the quality and frequency of messaging. Use this insight to identify opportunities for up-selling or cross-selling programmes.
- Develop and deliver customer data acquisition strategies and ensure all activity is GDPR compliant.
- Work with the Membership Marketing Manager to fully develop, deliver and manage an effective CRM programme for ZSL to build (automated) supporter journeys along the customer lifecycle, driving loyalty and growing the value of each customer and ROI from CRM activity.
- Work with the Digital Marketing Executive to track and analyse campaign results (engagement, conversion rates, web analytics, ROI) to produce regular reports on campaign performance, and continuously implement improvements based on findings.
- Develop strong working relationships with our Ticketing and Systems teams to understand and use Tessitura, our membership and donations CRM platform as well as ticketing and experiences data from SEE Tickets.
- Manage ZSL’s email service platform (currently Dotdigital) including being responsible for managing and maintaining the data within it to ensure that all customer data and communication is GDPR complaint, management of the ESP budget and management of the relationship with the ESP supplier.
ABOUT YOU
Your experience:
- Email CRM programme management expertise
- Consumer marketing communications experience and management of a customer database essential

This post can operate on an agile/blended working model. We’re currently meeting as a team at the office (Regent’s Park) once per week, working from home for the rest of the week. Occasional travel to Whipsnade Zoo will also be required.
