About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
We’re now looking for an events officer to play a key role within the team. You’ll lead on the delivery of a range of events including runs, triathlons, cycles, treks and overseas challenges, with a focus on growing income and engagement. Your role will also help to drive us forward as the go-to charity for challenge events by providing an excellent supporter experience.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a real drive and a passion for charity events fundraising. You’ll be delivering your own portfolio of events including recruitment of participants, development of supporter journeys and stewardship communications to meet net income and supporter retention targets.

About Us
Unfold is an established local charity (previously known as Westminster Befriend a Family), supporting young people and families to reach their potential, identifying and achieving their goals through mentoring. We support families and young people in Westminster and its neighbouring boroughs with mentoring programmes and peer support groups for women with children.
For 30 years, we have been providing support to vulnerable families who are at risk of social exclusion. Working with a network of trained and DBS checked volunteers, we offer mentoring to women with children and young people, building independence and getting them where they want to be.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting the planning and delivery of volunteer strategy with the aims of 1) Increasing the number of volunteers available to us as we grow and expand geographically and develop programme focus; 2) Diversifying our volunteers; 3) Improving volunteer experience and; 4) Increasing volunteer retention.
Volunteer Recruitment
- Overseeing the smooth and efficient recruitment, including drafting job descriptions and advertising on multiple online platforms.
- Supporting the selection and induction of volunteer mentors and referencing and DBS checking in a timely manner.
- Supervising our Office Volunteer in the processing, support and onboarding of volunteers.
- Attending external events and connecting with community organisations, universities, and businesses to recruit potential mentors.
- Building relationships with corporate partners and Higher and Further Education institutions to engage employees and attract mentors.

Volunteer Training and Development
- Leading our group of Volunteer Ambassadors, who provide feedback and insights on volunteer recruitment and experience, and actively promote mentoring opportunities through their networks.
- Take responsibility for managing volunteer training and development including ensuring volunteer sign up and tracking progress on our online training platform.
- Update material on the online training platform and assist the Programme Managers with developing additional training modules for the different strands of the programme as required.

As our Fundraising Executive – Face to Face you will play a pivotal role in our fundraising strategy. We are looking for a Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Evaluation (MEAL) Officer to join the Start Network within our Humanitarian Department to support the ongoing MEAL activities of our anticipation, early action and risk financing initiatives, with a particular focus on MEAL requirements for the donor ECHO.

Start Network is an independent charity made up of more than 80 aid agency members across five continents, including international, national and local organisations.
Our aim is to deliver more effective emergency aid, harnessing the power and knowledge of the network to make faster and better decisions to help people affected by crises. We advocate for radical change in the global aid system so that the world can deal better with the humanitarian challenges of today, and of the future. Our work focuses on three areas to change the system:
- Localisation – shifting power to those closest to the front line to enable more effective and appropriate responses.
- New forms of financing – providing fast, early, and dependable funding, to help communities to become more resilient to crises.
- Collective innovation – testing new ways of working and sharing learning and expertise to build a more effective humanitarian system.
The Start Funds MEAL Officer will work with colleagues within both SCUK and Start Network. Previously (until May 2019) Start Network and Start Funds and Programmes were hosted by Save the Children UK (SCUK) since its creation in 2012. The position sits within Save the Children UK as a Grant Custodian on behalf of the Start Network supported by a Grant Custodian Agreement (GCA) which describes the roles and commitments of each entity.
About the role
The Start Network funds have a robust monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) portfolio to strengthen evidence-based learning, performance and overall accountability towards the people affected by or at-risk of crises, donors, members, and partners.
Reporting to the Crisis Financing MEAL Lead, the CARF MEAL Officer will play an important role to support the ongoing MEAL activities of anticipation, early action and risk financing initiatives, with a larger focus on the impact of Start Network's newest finance mechanism, Start Ready.
This role will particularly focus on MEAL requirements and activities funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation (ECHO) and will support and work closely with CARF MEAL Advisor and the Learning and Research Advisor (within the Evidence and Learning Team).
In this role, you will:
Performance
- Support development, monitoring, and reporting of anticipation, early action and risk financing initiatives' Key Performance Indicators used in donor reporting, governance committee meetings and in other external fora as required, with a specific focus on MEAL requirement and activities funded by European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operation (ECHO).
- Strengthen management information systems and processes for data quality, storage and visualisation.
- Contribute towards the identification and implementation of diverse and innovative approaches to MEAL.
- Support the annual post-season learning reviews of the various Disaster Risk Financing systems.
Accountability
- Deliver and enhance Start Funds' quality, accountability and monitoring practices to members, partners and affected populations by organising and facilitating learning debriefs and pre/post season workshops and reviewing project report forms.
Knowledge
- Contribute towards continuous improvement of technical quality, processes and outputs of CARF MEAL including, but not limited to, the development of methodological guidelines, MEAL tools and approaches.
- Produce and support various thematic research, reviews, case studies and learning products according to the CARF MEAL work plan.
Teamwork
- Liaise with Senior Strategic Partnership Officer –ECHO and programme/operational staff to support all ECHO MEAL requirements.
- Work with the Start Communications and Digital Team and the Start Programmes Communications Manager to ensure visibility, awareness, and learning, on the role and use of forecast-based information for anticipatory responses.
About you
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Previous experience delivering MEAL in national and/or international contexts for humanitarian or development programmes.
- Previous experience of reporting on donor or funders grants (ideally ECHO Grants) in an international organisation.
- Excellent data analysis skills.
- Proven experience of embracing new approaches, technology and ways of working.
- Experience of using qualitative and quantitative analysis software.
- Experience of using Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present data and evidence in a user-friendly form and to stakeholders at different levels.
- Demonstrable experience of strong teamwork capabilities and collaboration.
- Undergraduate degree, ideally in social science, research methods, humanitarian response or related fields.

ShareAction is recruiting for a Senior Research Officer (SRO) to join the LIPH Programme and help support the delivery of our broad portfolio of work. The focus will primarily be on our consumer health campaign (LIPH’s most developed campaign focused on driving more responsible practice in the food industry) but will also support other workstreams, including community health (a newer campaign focused on improving air quality) and driving up investor standards on health. - Consumer health, primarily focusing on the Healthy Markets Initiative.

Key activities across these areas of work will include:
Content production

Research and analysis

External engagement

As Finance Analyst your role will be to work with and give strong support to the Systems & Reporting Manager in ensuring the completeness, accuracy, integrity and value of the financial management reporting to internal and external stakeholders across all entities. Main duties:
Prepare management reports to feed into monthly management accounting pack and to investigate and work with budget holders to provide narrative around any unusual variances to deadline.
Preparation of accurate monthly reporting for budget holders against deadline.
Proactively work to improve the quality and value of stakeholder reporting.
Preparation of ad-hoc financial reporting ensuring that any additional insights are provided to stakeholders.
Work with the Finance and Data and Analysis Teams as required to improve data quality and information value available to report on to all stakeholders.
Business Partnering:
Provide support to budget holders as required in support of budgetary understanding and ownership and to meet deadlines.
Provide financial analysis of trends and areas of opportunity or concern for budget holders and other stakeholders.
Support budget holders with insights and other requirements during the budget setting and reforecasting process.
The day to day:
Contribute to the financial year-end and audit process as required.
Contribute to the month end reporting, annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process as required.
Undertake analysis to support financial accounting control processes.
Provide support to the Finance Systems & Reporting Manager and the Financial Controller as required.
Process budget & forecast data onto finance systems.

About the position
This is an exciting opportunity to create change at scale, informing and promoting a practical transition to plant-based diets, in order to reduce the number of animals suffering in factory farms. Part of our Farmed Animal Campaigns team, the role will work to increase the quality and availability of plant-based options with major caterers and universities in the UK, impacting hundreds of thousands of meals daily.
This role also includes an opportunity to support the delivery of a campaign to end the use of farrowing crates, one of the worst forms of cruelty to farmed animals in the UK today. In this role you will support the Senior Manager for Farmed Animal Campaigns to create public-facing campaign assets, and develop compelling research to underpin our policy and industry engagement.

About this role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reprieve team as our Head of Digital and Mass Engagement covering parental leave. With the support of the Deputy Director of Development, you will lead our fast‐moving and creative Mass Engagement Team, who power fundraising across multiple channels. The Regional Fundraisers role is to mobilise and maximise local fundraising activities in order to raise income to support the work of the charity. The main responsibility of this role is to assist the Head of Resources in the efficient and smooth running of financial functional activities of the charity.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
