• Lead the use of advanced algorithms and tools to improve efficiency and decision-making across the division.

• Act as product owner for our suite of analytics tools, leading the development roadmap and collaborating with suppliers. 

About you 

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence non-technical stakeholders. 
• Proven experience applying advanced analytical techniques in marketing, including segmentation (e.g. cluster analysis), behaviour prediction (e.g. propensity modelling), churn analysis, A/B testing, and data visualisation. 
• Strong skills in R (R Studio) or Python for statistical analysis in a commercial context. 
• Experience with data analytics tools and platforms such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Databricks, Salesforce, Microsoft Power BI, and website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) is desirable. 
• Experience working with large datasets, including extracting and preparing data using SQL and a strong understanding of relational databases. 
• Passion for applying data to drive positive social impact.

Ways of Working:

The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office in London (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter).  This will be agreed with your Line Manager and team and is intended to be time spent alongside the analysis team for collaboration and innovation activities, and for divisional in-person days. The Analysis team currently works in 3-week planning sprints with two virtual team stand ups a week.

The Insight Analyst will work with the Insight Manager to collect, analyse, and present data and insight to BUCS staff, members and other stakeholders. The Insight Analyst will also take the lead on key projects that support the Insight Manager to deliver the overall data and insight strategy.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working in insight, market research or a similar field. They will be confident with a range of data collection and analysis methods, have experience of deriving high-quality insights from quantitative and qualitative data, and be able to present these insights to non-specialist audiences in a clear, actionable way.

The Project Manager/Business Analyst role forms part of the PMO Team. As Clinical Research Administrator, you will be integral in helping to support and deliver the activity in the research team. This includes supporting our clinical research initiatives, such as the UK Blood Cancer Research Network, and a newly launched strategic funding call for large-scale clinical trials. The UKBCRN is a large network, consisting of 16 major disease sub-groups and acts as a focal point for UK clinical academics to collaborate and drive the blood cancer research agenda.

At this exciting time for Blood Cancer UK, we are delighted to create this new role developing our health intelligence approach. We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the development of our blood cancer health data approach. This will involve maintaining and enhancing a portfolio of external facts, statistics, and evidence as well as overseeing our use of this insight internally.

You will have expert knowledge of NHS and UK health data sets, alongside a relevant qualification or equivalent experience in quantitative analysis. You will be confident in handling health datasets, and be able to summarise large amounts of data and information in a way that is understandable to the relevant audience.

Your role will involve sourcing and managing data relevant to our mission particularly blood cancer data sets, clinical trials and blood cancer drugs pipeline, and other national data sets that impact blood cancer outcomes. You will be responsible for data collection and analysis and supporting internal teams to use our data with confidence, particularly statistics that we use in our external communications and messaging.  You will lead on the associated data governance for the collection and use of relevant external blood cancer data sets, working in partnership with colleagues managing internal data. Alongside this you will identify key health data gaps and work with others to develop approaches to address these, including through collaboration with external partners.

Expected travel for this role is: Majority of our roles can be performed hybrid. Required to attend the London office 2-4 days per month, plus two all-staff away days and external meetings as required.

Job Title: Systems Accountant

Location: Homeworking with a requirement to occasionally work at Head Office (Vauxhall, London).
Salary: £59,520 per annum (exclusive of London Weighting of £3,000 which may be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement).

Contract type: Fixed Term (until 30 April 2026), Full Time. We are also happy to consider applications on a Part Time basis (with equivalent pro rata salary).

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Systems Accountant on an interim basis supporting the charity in the selection and implementation of their new finance system.

Refuge is about to embark on a major transformation in the way it manages its finances, modernising all aspects of financial management across the organisation with the implementation of a new finance system. This role will be crucial to the success of the project. 

In previous roles you may have been a finance systems analyst or systems accountant, and you will bring a deep understanding of modern finance systems and experience of all aspects of their implementations in a charity or housing association setting.  As the Systems Accountant in this very hands-on role, you will manage and carry out all stages of the implementation project, ensuring that the new system is successfully implemented on time, on budget and to meet business needs.

Key Criteria:

- Strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of an organisation, with the confidence to influence and drive change.
- Knowledge and experience of message testing, audience segmentation, and communication evaluation.
- Skilled in translating research and insights into clear, compelling, and audience-specific messaging.
- Highly organised with strong project management capabilities, adept at working collaboratively across cross-functional teams and with external partners.
- Experience of issues and crisis management.
- Previous experience in the charity, public, or healthcare sectors is desirable.
