The Down’s Syndrome Association (DSA) aims to create and develop the conditions that will enable people who have Down's syndrome to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. We are seeking an organised and enthusiastic Fundraising Events Officer to join our fundraising team.
Reporting to the Fundraising and Events Manager, the successful candidate will manage all challenge events in the portfolio. This includes the planning, organisation, marketing, delivery, recruitment and stewardship of participants and day to day administration for all DSA events.

The Main Responsibilities of the role are
Assist the Fundraising and Events Manager with future event plans and creating and building on our Community Fundraising offer.

Identify and research new opportunities to develop the events programme and maximise income as well as maintaining and extending the existing events which generate a healthy ROI.
Work with the membership officer to develop relationships with members, supporters who participate in events taking responsibility for the supporter journey; providing motivation and encouragement from start to finish to ensure they continue to support.
Evaluate the current processes and procedures with the Fundraising and Events Manager and implement improvements where necessary.
Manage the fundraising pages of the website ensuring copy is up to date and relevant and those events that require extra marketing are featured on the home page.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Fundraising Manager that fall within the grade and remit of this post.

The Role
This is a unique opportunity to join the team as an Events Officer, reporting directly to the Events Manager. You will support participants who have their own place in challenge events such as runs, walks and cycles as well as other third-party organised events.
Main duties will include:
- Providing effective support to the events team, contributing towards the ambitious five-year Community and Events team strategy.
- Carrying out research, updating event collateral and supporting the team with event organisation and delivery including on-the-day support.
- Providing engaging stewardship to event participants and lapsed supporters.
- Recruiting participants and delivering excellent stewardship for a variety of third-party challenge events, including skydives, walks, cycle rides and runs whilst meeting set income targets.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and experience in a customer service or client facing role. You must be confident with excellent attention to detail. We are also looking for a team player, who is experienced in working to targets and committed to delivering results. You will require the ability to juggle multiple projects, and be organised working on your own initiative. While experience in an events fundraising role would be advantageous, we are also keen to speak with people with events management experience and a sound knowledge of fundraising looking to develop a career in the charity sector.
Please note that this role will involve attending events in the evenings and weekends. You will be required to have a full UK driving license, and access to your own vehicle.

You will be responsible for increasing income by implementing, managing and reporting on fundraising campaigns to engage and inspire existing donors, through a variety of different channels. A key part of this role involves optimising existing campaign setup which in turn will allow a seamless donor journey and uptake in income generation and ensuring that messages are on brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the Senior Stewardship Manager and Stewardship Officer, to develop and deliver the warm cash stewardship programme, growing income from existing individual donors, through a planned programme of communications and propositions which maintain brand integrity.
- Liaising with Data & Insight teams to analyse campaign results and continuously optimise performance.
- Writing inspiring briefs for our creative agency to develop engaging communications.
- Building strong relationships with Digital, Communications and wider Fundraising teams to identify opportunities for collaborative working.
- Managing relationships with our fulfilment, telephone, digital, creative and print & production partners. Sharing insight and briefing them on campaign workflows, as necessary.
Person Specification:
· Experience of managing direct marketing campaigns including direct mail, telephone, email & digital. Working on various campaigns and channels concurrently.
· Experience of managing agencies – creative, printers, fulfilment and telemarketing etc.
· Effective communicator with natural ability to facilitate open and honest conversations.
· Able decision maker with a positive and action driven outlook.

We are looking for a Senior Stewardship Officer for an incredible social welfare charity to play an integral part in delivery of the warm cash stewardship programme, growing income from existing individual donors.
This is a London hybrid role 50% weekly office attendance.

In this role you will:
Work closely with other teams in IG, including Acquisition and Legacy, to make sure all IG activity is integrated, supporter-centric and focussed on generating content that will engage supporters, encourage repeat giving and increase their loyalty and lifetime value.
Deliver excellent end-to-end project management for key projects and direct marketing campaigns, such as cash appeals, welcome journeys, cash to committed conversion campaigns, newsletters and virtual gifts.
Implement a test & learn approach to campaigns and work with the Data & Insight team in the ongoing measurement of individual campaign performance.
Always looking for new opportunities to inspire and engage supporters with personalised and targeted communications at a time that is right for them, to maximise lifetime value.
Lead on end-of-campaign reviews, with clear recommendations for improvement of future activities.
Prepare and monitor individual campaign budgets, supporting the Senior Stewardship Manager with annual budget setting.
You will need:
