Support on key aspects of financial management across budget development and forecasting, monthly reporting, and managing our external finance partners.

Financial Management + Forecasting

Support work on annual and multi-year budget forecasts, based on programming needs and organizational trajectory

Zero Carbon Guildford is a Surrey-based charity tackling environmental challenges with practical, local solutions that make a real difference. From supporting energy efficiency in homes to monitoring water quality and reducing food waste, we’re helping to make Guildford and Surrey greener, healthier, and fairer places to live.
Since the charity was established in 2020, Zero Carbon Guildford has had three different premises, creating a physical community hub adapted to each space. Job description
The Operations Coordinator is one of four core staff team members at Zero Carbon Guildford (ZCG), and leads on facilities and event management, organisational processes, and reporting. In the event of a premises move, they will also lead the charity through the physical move. This is a critical role to the smooth running of the charity, helping create and communicate systems that staff and volunteers use to deliver our objectives more efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Building and facilities management:

Maintaining the effective operation and presentation of the charity’s premises in support of our goals. This includes ensuring building compliance, upkeep and maintenance, and ensuring volunteers have appropriate training and guidance to use the space.

In the event of moving premises, manage both contractual arrangements and the physical moving process.
Support ZCG’s strategy to establish a more permanent physical space, by engaging with new developments in Guildford and council officers.
Events management:

Manage events and room booking system, track sign up numbers, and ensure events are managed well by staff and volunteers.

Support volunteers and staff to curate events programme, and ensure online events listings are effective, good quality and up to date.

Development Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Development Manager will play a vital role in expanding The Churchill Fellowship’s income from Trusts, Foundations, and other institutional funders. Working closely with the Development Director, the post holder will identify, cultivate and secure new funding partnerships that support our core Fellowship programme, unrestricted income, and the Activate Programme in line with our organisational priorities.
The postholder will manage the full funder journey, from initial engagement to long-term stewardship, ensuring all relationships are grown and managed professionally and effectively. They will work closely with relevant departments to coordinate proposals, reports, and communications, helping maintain strong connections with funders.
Key responsibilities
Prospecting and Pipeline Development
- Research and identify new potential supporters, primarily from the Trusts & Foundations sector, with some engagement of aligned individuals or family-foundation prospects in conjunction with the wider Development Team.
- Support the Development Director in delivering targeted cultivation and engagement strategies to grow new income streams.
- Build and maintain a healthy, dynamic pipeline of qualified new business opportunities.
- Monitor sector trends to identify emerging supporters and new partnership opportunities
Approaches and Proposal Development
- Prepare tailored, persuasive funding proposals, applications, and cases for support, drawing on internal expertise and materials.
- Lead on initial engagement with new prospects, coordinating meetings, briefings and follow-up communications.
- Manage the cultivation process ensuring prospects receive timely and professional engagement throughout.

Qualification:
- Degree level or equivalent transferable skills - Desirable
Skills and Experience
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a fundraising, grants or donor facing role, particularly prospecting new funders
- Proven success in securing funding from Trusts & Foundations or HNWIs, particularly new business (one-off or multiyear grants and repeat grants)
- Strong experience in research & prospect identification for trusts/foundations or major donors
- Excellent proposal/application writing, with ability to tailor cases to funder priorities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills — able to engage funders at senior levels and with colleagues internally
- Strong organisational skills, managing multiple proposals and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficiency with CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and using it to manage pipeline / prospect data

Accessing veterinary care while living on the streets, sofa surfing or living in a hostel or temporary accommodation provider can be incredibly difficult. That’s where StreetVet comes in. We are an award-winning national charity and a registered veterinary practice with the RCVS, providing free, accessible vet care to pets belonging to those experiencing homelessness across the UK. Our dedicated team of volunteer veterinary professionals deliver essential services where support is needed. We take our experience out of the consulting room and onto the pavements to provide the same first opinion vet care you would expect to receive in a practice.
StreetVet also works to remove barriers to accommodation and homelessness service through our Accredited Hostel and Day Centre Scheme, which helps hostels, day centres, and hubs implement positive pet policies and become pet-inclusive. This includes free veterinary care for registered pets, staff training, essential pet supplies, and access to virtual vet consultations via our telemedicine platform. Role Description
The Hostel & Day Centre Coordinator (North) will work closely with the Hostel and Day Centre Manager and the Coordinator (South) to ensure the effective administration and smooth day-to-day operations of the StreetVet Accredited Hostel & Day Centre Schemes. This role plays a key part in welcoming and onboarding new hostels and day centres into the network and supporting the ongoing engagement and success of existing partners. By fostering strong relationships with hostels, day centres, suppliers, and sponsors, the post holder will help build a connected and responsive community that ultimately supports more pets accessing hostels and day centres. The Role
As Policy and Data Insight Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Cancer Insight Team to develop policy papers and present data on cancer in Yorkshire. You will also provide administrative support across the team to help others deliver a variety of workstreams.
You will perform a range of tasks to support the Cancer Insight Team's goals. This involves informing internal employees, supporters, and the public about the charity’s stance on multiple cancer-related topics. Additionally, you will assist with collecting and sharing data and evidence related to cancer in Yorkshire, crucial for understanding regional needs and shaping the charity’s objectives.

Policy
- Support the Policy Officer to conduct literature reviews and research for policy development and updates.

As Director, you will oversee daily operations, including forecasting and budgeting for the entire organisation (currently c£300K per annum). As such, you will lead on developing a sustainable funding stream for our mission-driven work, ensuring we maintain a 6-month runway at all times. Funding Development + Stakeholder Relationships (40%):
- Significant responsibility for successful contractual negotiations and maintaining a healthy new funding pipeline. Secure six-to-seven figure funding opportunities to provide a sustainable revenue stream for 3+ years.

- Oversee the team to deliver comprehensive planning and reporting.

Person Specification

Essential Experience and Ability
- Senior management experience working within a small charity or Community Interest Company (CIC).
- Track record of driving operational excellence, including organisational finances and resources.
- Experience of line management, team development and performance management.
- Experience of securing sustainable and diverse revenue streams; including multi-year, strategic deals worth six-and-seven figures.
- Proactive approach to risk management and maintaining compliance.
- Experience in a strategic role, including developing organisational strategy and/or developing and overseeing monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
- Experience of working with a range of stakeholders and managing stakeholder relationships.
- Ability to effectively prioritise, manage and oversee programmes of work across the organisation and lead through change.
- Ability to work under own initiative, delegate where appropriate, prioritise work and meet strict deadlines.
- Good general IT skills and appreciation of new platforms that can increase efficiency and effectiveness (Slack, Trello, Canva, Dext, Xero, HubSpot, SenseHR).
- Broad understanding of GDPR and other essential legislation and organisational policies, including use of AI.
- Passionate about the environment and the importance of citizen science.
- A commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion.

Confident business development skills are needed to identify new partnerships and expand our programme delivery to ensure the continued sustainability of the centre.
Creativity, problem solving, prioritising and the ability to manage a diverse workload, where each day is different, is key in this role.
Our Regional Centre Manager in London will be based in our Battersea Park office. Option for hybrid role with up to 2 days remote working per week.
