The Job

Reporting to the Individual Giving Manager, the Supporter Care Officer role sits within the Communications, Engagement and Fundraising team. USPG is looking for someone with excellent communication skills and enthusiasm to join our small but growing fundraising team.  The post holder will be the first port of call for all incoming communications and will work closely with the Individual Giving Manager to ensure that our supporters feel valued. The role is also responsible for maintaining the data and developing supporter care processes.

You are highly organised, enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for delivering an excellent supporter experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, data handling and administration. They will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with a flexible, can-do attitude. About the role

You’ll support effective governance and compliance by coordinating key processes, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with regulatory obligations across the charity.

You’ll help embed a culture of accountability and integrity, contributing to strong oversight and enabling the organisation to deliver its mission with confidence.

What’ll you do

• Support the Head of Risk and Assurance to ensure the charity remains compliant with all relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, keeping abreast of changes and developments to ensure they are enacted.

• Assist in the maintenance of statutory records and ensure timely updates to regulatory bodies (e.g. Charity Commission, Companies House).

• Support the development and review of governance and compliance policies and procedures.

• Monitor regulatory requirements in areas such as data protection (GDPR), fundraising standards, and safeguarding.

• Maintain and update the compliance calendar, tracking deadlines and supporting timely delivery of required actions.

What you’ll bring

• Experience in charity governance, compliance, or risk management. Relevant non-charity experience will also be considered, provided you demonstrate a strong interest in the charity sector 

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks relevant to charities (e.g. GDPR, Charity Commission guidance) 

• Knowledge of modern risk management frameworks

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Fundraising Assistant to support our growing and ambitious fundraising team. This diverse role is key to helping us raise vital funds through individual giving, community fundraising initiatives, and challenge events. The postholder will be a key part of growing the Hub’s  Advice and Advocacy/ Pastoral / Wrap-around services, working as a team with our partners, providing support to guests and volunteers.

Horsham Y Centre provides 24-hour supported housing services offering medium levels of housing-related support for young people aged 16-25 with 50 bedspaces and shared communal facilities. We adopt a trauma informed and psychologically informed approach to supporting our residents to help them build essential life skills, identify their goals and work towards aspirations so that they can move on to enjoy fully independent futures. We have a dedicated team of Support Workers, Night Workers and additional Bank Workers who provide support, guidance, and signposting around areas such as housing, budgeting, living skills, jobs, relationship building and wellbeing. Situated in the middle of Horsham, the service has strong links with and contributes to the local community.

We are looking for a Housing Night Worker to join our Horsham Y team. Main areas of responsibilities are:

Safety and security

• Provide a friendly and professional front-of-house welcome to residents, visitors and staff, and ensure the building is safe, secure quiet and welcoming 
• Maximise the wellbeing of residents and visitors by ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols and house rules, all within the terms of tenancy agreements
• Assess and monitor the risks presented by residents to ensure they can keep themselves safe and, where possible, continue their development
• Record all incidents and accidents and share appropriately with the wider team, your manager and, if necessary, the central safeguarding team 

Engagement with residents

• Welcome residents home and provide informal and responsive support so they can articulate their aspirations and ambitions and acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives
• Ensure resident’s views, aspirations, concerns, and ideas are sought so they can play an active role in influencing the services they receive
• Proactively promote the services on offer and ensure residents are encouraged to engage with those services

About the role

This post will work as part of a community partnership programme, a small team providing accessible and bespoke perinatal care including, antenatal education, postnatal sessions, peer support, counselling and practical support to women from low-income migrant marginalised backgrounds. 

The role will provide non-judgmental, compassionate and trauma-informed care to women accessing the service helping them to navigate complex needs and overcome barriers to access through a creative, solution-focused approach. Working alongside the Perinatal Programme Manager building and maintaining a network of local support services, helping to develop clear referral pathways and strong partner relationships.

To be successful in this role you will have: 

• Experience of supporting or working with marginalised or vulnerable groups and understanding the barriers they face to accessing support and an awareness of ways in overcoming them  

• Knowledge and experience working or volunteering with women and birthing people during pregnancy and early years  

• Experience working within a relevant sector e.g., maternity, children’s services, homelessness, women’s services, mental health, supporting asylum and refugee families

• A good knowledge and understanding of local support and services for the client group
• Experience in empowering women to make informed decisions about their lives and advocating for their needs and rights

Purpose of Role

Our corporate partnerships are crucial to the success of Comic Relief, they are fundamental in helping us tackle poverty in the UK and around the world. We work with a range of organisations and brands, many of them have been with us for years!

 The Partnerships Executive will play a vital role in supporting the day-to- day management of some of our strategic, seven figure partnerships at Comic Relief. The successful candidate will support the Partnership Managers (PM) in both the day to day running of the partnerships and project manage the logistics of our Red Nose Day merchandise.   

Key responsibilities:

The core areas of focus for this role are supporting partnership management, merchandise logistics and staff engagement by organising project visits with our brilliant funded partners.

Partnership Management

· Support the Partnership Managers with all aspects of the day-to-day partnership management on several key strategic and merchandise partnerships.

· Manage relationships with our partners through effective communication, problem solving, and responding to requests in a timely manner.

· Work alongside key teams within Comic Relief including marketing, creative, PR, legal, talent, fundraising, finance and funding to ensure we are delivering against our partnership objectives.

· Support New Business team on prospect research as required.

Staff Engagement

· Support staff engagement initiatives for our partners, working closely with both the funding team at Comic Relief and funded partner organisations to plan and execute corporate visits (virtual and in-person) to continue to engage partner employees with Comic Relief’s work.

Red Nose Day Merchandise 

· Project manage the partner aspects of Comic Relief’s online shop. Work closely with teams across the organization including tech, finance, legal and partner organizations to support the setup of Comic Relief’s online shop ahead of the Red Nose Day campaign.

· Support the PM in the development of Comic Relief’s merchandise range, including our iconic Red Nose. 

· Organise merchandise for campaign shoots, making sure transport and couriers are booked.

· Manage the reporting of merchandise sales

Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham (serving Birmingham and Warwickshire), Worcester (serving Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and Gloucestershire), and Walsall (serving the Black Country and parts of Staffordshire and Shropshire), as well as in family homes and other community settings. CSAN is the official agency of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference, tackling the root causes of poverty and injustice affecting people in England and Wales. We’re facing a steep rise in poverty and significant pressures on social, economic and church resources. At this time, the Church is called to raise a prophetic voice against poverty and the rhetoric of division and work for the building of a more just society.

In 2021, CSAN launched its strategy to extend the social mission of the Church in a post-COVID society. We are developing the infrastructure of the social action network of the Church in England and Wales, including new alliances for diocesan Caritas agencies, advocacy and migration. As our Senior Officer for Migration, you will help to raise awareness of migration issues from the perspective of Catholic Social Teaching and lead on our Ambassadors Programme against Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery, as well as prepare briefings and campaign responses to Government legislation.

Over the last 20 years, CSAN has established a network of 50 diocesan and direct service charities, with a combined annual expenditure on social mission estimated at £400m, excluding the work of schools and religious congregations. Our members build up local community life in diverse ways, and many of them support individuals in difficulty, including with housing, prison and detention, social isolation, ill-health, violence, disability, employment, care, therapeutic and welfare support.

The key responsibilities of the Senior Migration Officer are:

1. To provide timely information to the CSAN team and the network on UK Government resettlement programmes and legislation on immigration.

2. To support CSAN’s work to improve public policy and practice on immigration, with compelling evidence from our network, and enabling effective participation in advocacy for a humane system.

3. To work closely with the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales on issues of migration and human trafficking.

4. To lead the implementation of the Gubay-

funded CSAN Ambassadors against Human Trafficking programme, preparing and delivering programme materials.

5. To support cross-cutting key workstreams and alliances in CSAN, especially the Domestic Abuse alliance and racial justice, in partnership with the Bishops’ Conference.
