ABOUT THE ROLE
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance has an exciting opportunity for an Aviation Director to join the Executive Team and to be responsible for all aspects of aviation and other, non-clinical, operational activities. Also, as part of EHAAT’s strategic plan to gain its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in late 2025, the Aviation Director will form and lead the new AOC team supported by our experienced AOC transition Programme Manager. As the AOC Accountable Manager, they will be responsible for all aspects of the safe, compliant and effective operation of our 2 AW169 helicopters in their life-saving role.

ABOUT US
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a charity. This free life-saving service is provided 24/7 by helicopters and rapid response vehicles.
Each critical care team consists of a pilot and co-pilot, a pre-hospital care doctor and a critical care paramedic.
They can be rushed to the scene with life-saving support equipment to deliver advanced clinical care, usually only in the hospital emergency department.
Once stabilised, the patient will be conveyed to the most appropriate hospital by air or land.
Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, we rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives…we can’t fly without you!

Programme Manager
We are looking for an experienced programme manager to lead an established Inclusive and Nurturing Schools (INS) programme to implement nurturing education across seven boroughs in London, commissioned by the London Violence Reduction Unit.

About the Role
The charity is leading on the Inclusion strand of the programme, delivering training to education professionals in 70 schools across London. The charity is working in partnership with Tender, a charity specialising in the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of healthy relationships between children and young people. Tender is leading on the Healthy Relationships strand of the programme.
In particular, you will be responsible for leading the established (2022) programme to keep children supported, and thriving in school, tackle exclusions, and ensure children and young people have healthy relationship behaviours and attitudes.
The Programme Manager will:

About You

- Proven experience leading and motivating teams, ideally having managed volunteers, or a retail team previously
- A strong understanding of what good looks like in a busy and successful community-led shop, ideally with Retail experience

Across our Marketplace hubs, our Marketplace teams sort, identify, value, photograph, and list items onto online marketplace platforms such as eBay, Depop and ASOS marketplace. In this role you will be accountable for the operations of our Hubs in Romford and Grantham. You will use your leadership and people management skills to ensure outstanding customer experience through your teams. About the Role

The Finance Business Partner supports key non- finance stakeholders to provide timely and insightful analysis and reporting and supports with the alignment of financial plans to operational and strategic priorities. The role will support the HDR UK’s non- Core funds and programmatic areas and will be responsible for proactive fund financial management, supporting the Fund budget holders in ensuring appropriate planning and utilisation of the fund expenditure. The role is responsible for maintaining clear and effective communication between the Finance team and the wider business and for ensuring that financial concepts and priorities are understood by the programme teams.
Main responsibilities
- Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.
- Hold responsibility for the financial management of a number of large and strategic funds, including financial reporting to funders and maximising fund utilisation.
- Lead on monthly reporting to Programme teams, including posting month end journals, meeting with Budget Holders to discuss performance and budget variance and providing commentary and analysis on reports.
- Work with the Associate Directors of the Finance team to plan, deliver, and review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
- Support with the continuous review and update of the 5-year financial plan.
- Support with projects and new process development to continuously improve and evolve our approach to internal financial reporting and modern finance business partnering.
- Support the Finance Business Partnering function with ad hoc reports and grant management and reporting.
- Provide training and advice to individuals internal and external to the Finance department.
- Support the Finance Officer with ad hoc queries and helpdesk needs.
- Support the Junior Finance Business Partner in utilising JET Reports to generate monthly management accounts for our Senior Leadership Team and Budget Holders, ensuring their accuracy and timely delivery.
Experience
- CCAB qualified or part qualified, or with a minimum of 4 years practical experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles.
- Experience of grant or fund management, reporting, and liaising with external funding bodies.
The following is desired but not essential:
- Prior experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Prior experience of JET reporting software.
- Experience developing financial models.
- Experience of producing financial reports.
- Experience of working in the higher education or not-for-profit sectors.
