We are seeking an experienced leader to drive forward the development and implementation of the events and mass participation fundraising strategy.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Regional Fundraising this is an exciting role leading our ambitious vision for this area of our team. Worth currently over £2m annually we are looking to grow our income from third party and owned products and events.

Key responsibilities:

1. Events Marketing

• To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.

Events Logistics & Management

• In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. You’ll play a key role within the Major Relationships team, driving consistent year‑on‑year income growth and deepening supporter engagement through an ambitious and thoughtfully curated Special Events portfolio.

• Proven experience managing grant programmes and the full grants lifecycle
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with confidence reviewing budgets and financial information
• Experience using grant management or CRM systems
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
• A collaborative, proactive approach and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for seafarers

Knowledge of the maritime or fishing sectors, experience working with Trustees, or relevant professional training is welcomed but not essential.

We are at the start of an exciting new journey to grow high value income in our nations and regions. You will have a great role within a motivated team and have the opportunity to build your fundraising strategy: You will have the autonomy to develop your own high value network, prospects and income pipeline: You will collaborate with our wonderful Skylight teams across England to develop and deliver compelling and bold cases for support.

As Director of Income Generation and Growth, you will lead a step-change in sustainable income growth for Bowel Cancer UK, positioning the organisation for scale, resilience, and long-term impact. As Fundraising Manager, you will support the development and lead on the delivery of a new and ambitious fundraising strategy across individual giving, community fundraising and corporate partnerships.
