About The Role
As a Community Builder, you will be at the heart of our charity’s ambition to reach seldom-heard members of the Armed-forces Community (AFC) and engage them in creating positive action that strengthens wider connections.
You will identify the strengths, passions and interests within the AFC, foster meaningful connections with the wider community, and utilise these to create meaningful and sustainable outcomes.
About You
You will be a highly motivated and dynamic individual who is passionate about collaboration and community-led change. You will have experience of engaging and supporting people in a community, charity, education, social care, housing, youth work, or other people-focused role using a range of facilitation tools, techniques and Community Development skills. You will need experience of working in a community setting with a diverse range of people and interests. You will have good organisational skills, energy and the ability to listen, build relationships, and inspire collaboration, which will be essential in creating positive, lasting change.
We are looking for someone with:

A Community Development qualification and/or transferable Community Development skills and experience.

A basic understanding of the Asset-Based Community Development approach (ABCD) is required however full support and development of this practice and our internal ways of working will be provided.

PLEASE NOTE:

The successful candidate will need to be based within a 30-minute commute of their allocated locality and there is a requirement to travel regularly across the wider area (travel expenses covered). The successful candidate must possess a valid full UK driver’s license and have access to a reliable vehicle with business insurance for work purposes.

There will also be a requirement for occasional travel to other UK locations for meetings and events depending on the charity’s needs such as our annual all colleagues in person event.

The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week over 5 days, Monday - Sunday. Core working days will be Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is essential, as regular evening and weekend work will also be required to meet the needs of the role. Working hours will vary to ensure a total of 70 hours is covered over a two-week period, so please take this into consideration before applying.

Role Overview and Main Responsibilities
One of the main areas of this role is to improve the Digital Marketing systems of the college. This involves managing multiple projects and supervising other team members within their roles. - Manage team members for the maintenance and development of the college’s website, SEO, user journey experience, and website assets

- Developing a digital marketing campaigns calendar and system for use within the team including the implementation of campaign briefs and tracking of campaigns across ANCC products

The Job
This role requires someone with previous experience in managing and or leading a Dog Training team within an Assistance Dog Organisation, to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Assistance Dog training team. The successful candidate will ensure that the team of Assistance Dog Trainers develop our puppies and dogs in advanced to training to ensure they receive the highest standard of socialisation and training, thereby maximising their chances of becoming a Medical Alert Assistance Dog. They will also play a role in the training and development of less experienced members of the team.
The welfare of our dogs is very important to us. We have a no-kennel policy, and all our dogs live in the homes of volunteers until they are about 20 months old. We are committed to providing quality training and support for all our dogs and the volunteers who look after them.
The role involves working collaboratively across teams and managing stakeholders to streamline the process of training and placing Assistance Dogs.
Specific Responsibilities
Puppies:
- To liaise with the Dog Supply Advisor on puppy intake
- To support and guide the Puppy Assistance Dog Trainers, with all aspects related to socialising and training of puppies from 8 weeks of age to approximately 16 months of age. This will include observing and supporting in:
- Puppy classes
- 1-2-1 training sessions
- Home visits
- Writing up Behaviour Modification Plans
- Any other ad hoc training support
- To ensure training records are up to date
- To work alongside the Head of Department on the Advanced Trainer pick up schedule, ensuring dogs are put into advanced training at an appropriate standard
- To oversee and carry out MDD internal puppy assessment programme - Behaviour Check List (BCL)
- To ensure all puppies in the socialising scheme follow MDD Health and Welfare policies and procedures
- If and when required, to stay away from home, supporting Puppy Assistance Dog Trainers with their puppies and volunteers who are based in our regional areas
- To offer support to dogs and/or volunteers when needed in the absence of the allocated trainer
Advanced Dogs:
- To support and guide the Advanced Assistance Dog Trainers and when needed, to support with the training of their advanced group of dogs. This will include:
- Observing dogs in all areas of development
- Giving practical advice and support
- Assisting in writing up training plans
- Any ad hoc training support
- To carry out the final assessments of dogs in advanced training
- To oversee the preparation of and to deliver in accordance with the instructor pick-up schedule for the MAAD programme dogs within advanced training

Staff Development:

Puppy Socialiser Recruitment
- To monitor and when necessary, highlight to the Head of Canine Supply, Training and Welfare, a shortage of Puppy Socialisers and Temporary Fosterers
- When required, assist in the recruitment of new volunteer Puppy Socialisers
Other
- To liaise with the Health and Welfare Coordinator on any health issues regarding puppies and dogs within the Assistance Dog Training Scheme
- To liaise with the Instructor Manager on any dogs that are entering or currently in the Medical Alert Assistance Dog (MAAD) programme.
- From time to time, you may be required to have a dog living with you for additional training for a set period
- Highlight to the Head of Canine Supply, Training and Welfare in a timely manner, if you feel a dog is not reaching the appropriate standard or may be more suitable for another role. Detailed, evidenced reasons why, must be supplied
- To oversee the rehoming of withdrawn puppies and dogs from the Socialising Scheme

Practical knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Had management or team leader experience for a minimum of 2 years within an ADUK Dog Training team.
- ADUK and ADI regulations.
- Basic theory of practical dog training.
- Law in relation to dogs.
- Knowledge of medical conditions relevant to puppies between 8 weeks and 2 years of age.
- Dog and human psychology.
- Health and safety implications of dog and puppy socialiser handling. Some experience of assisting with the training and development of less experienced colleagues.

Guidelines Manager
Contract: Fixed-term contract, 6 months
Salary: Up to £45,000 (depending on experience)
Place of Work: BSH Headquarters, 100 White Lion Street, London, N1 9PF (hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office)

The British Society for Haematology (BSH) is the largest UK multidisciplinary Haematology Society with over 3,000 members. Our activities include running education events and courses (including our flagship Annual Scientific Meeting held in April), producing guidelines, awarding grants, and raising the profile of haematology.
The role of the BSH Guidelines is to provide haematologists with up-to-date advice on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disease and also on laboratory haematology practice, primarily by the production of evidence-based guidelines.
The co-ordination and commissioning of the required guidelines is carried out by 4 task forces, each responsible for a specialist area; blood transfusion, haemostasis & thrombosis, haemato-oncology and general haematology. It is also the responsibility of each task force group to ensure that guidelines are reviewed regularly and updated as appropriate on the BSH website. BSH Guidelines is overseen by an Executive Committee which consists of a Chair and Vice-Chair of BSH Guidelines and the Chairs of each of the four Task Forces.
Each Task Force will have between 10 - 15 guidelines in production or review at any one time, with an average of 2 - 3 being published each year (approximately 10 - 12 in total). The guidelines are written by nominated writing groups with members of the Task Force taking responsibility to ensure they are written to the correct standards and specification. The finished guidelines are usually published in the British Journal of Haematology and are made freely available on the BSH website. Each Task Force will meet 3 - 4 times a year to discuss the progress of the guidelines and any other pertinent business.
The Role
This is a six-month, full-time role to cover an extended period of staff absence. We are looking for someone to cover the role but we’re looking for someone who can do more than just maintain the status quo. We want a dynamic individual who will actively engage with the role, bring fresh ideas, and look for ways to develop and improve the work. Outline of Role
As a key member of the IAPB Communications, Campaigns & Events team, this role is responsible for delivering high quality events to support the key strategic goals of the organisation. Working with the Director of Communications, Campaigns and Events to support the organisation’s events goals, manage events that promote IAPB and lead events related to other IAPB functions (e.g. membership, knowledge, advocacy etc.).
Supporting the Director of Communications, Campaigns and Events to lead the organisation’s yearly internal and external events calendar. As a key element of this, this role will lead a yearly first-class large scale global event that takes place in person and online, project managing and pulling together all elements of such an event. As a Community Fundraising Manager for Dementia UK, you will lead a team of regionally based fundraisers to grow income across community fundraising streams, with a strategic focus on high value supporter acquisition and engagement across regional corporates, organisations and individuals.
You will collaborate with the Head of Community Fundraising and Senior Relationship Fundraising Manager to deliver the community fundraising strategy and develop annual budgets.

PURPOSE
The Fundraising Database Manager will support the Development team by overseeing and managing fundraising data analytics and reporting management, data systems, and related processes, to ensure alignment with the WHO Foundation’s strategic goals and data driven decision making. Our data analytics and reporting framework is at a foundational stage and requires development from the ground up, including the implementation of meaningful reporting and insights—making this role critical to its success.
REPORTS TO
The Fundraising Database Manager will report to the Head of Development Operations at the WHO Foundation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Management:

Administer and maintain the integrity of the data inputted into WHO Foundation’s CRM (Salesforce) and ensure fundraising data records are accurate and up-to-date.

Work closely with the Operations PMO office and the IT manager, which oversees the overall consistency of the information systems architecture to ensure that Salesforce functionality meet the Foundation’s fundraising needs,
-
Ensure that Salesforce is utilised effectively to fully meet the Foundation’s needs, as well as identifying areas for further process development.

Demonstrate the ability to clean, format, and import data into Salesforce, using input obtained from team members across the Foundation in a timely and efficient manner.

Liaise with the Operations PMO lead and external consultants and suppliers to support integrations with other fundraising platforms or other services when required.

Regularly review and update existing data management processes and procedures.

Provide ongoing training and develop training materials for Foundation newcomers and team members on the effective use of Salesforce and other relevant data procedures, ensuring adoption of best practices.

Work closely with the Prospect Research team to implement a successful Prospect Management System within the CRM

Manages, troubleshoots, and works to resolve data analysis, reporting and systems issues and complexities as it relates to the Development team or data

Facilitate discussions between leadership, fundraisers, WHO leadership and other stakeholders to identify needs and develop data structures and a salesforce environment that will support solutions and more effective fundraising.
Reporting and Insights:

Design and maintain a suite of Salesforce dashboards that provide real-time visibility into fundraising performance, pipeline health, and key KPIs.

Deliver accurate and timely reporting - both regular and ad-hoc - for senior leadership, fundraisers, and operations teams.

Develop and refine reporting mechanisms that inform the strategic planning of the EMT, Board, WHO colleagues, Development and Operations team.

Create complex queries and supporter data selections to meet the needs of fundraising, stewardship, and communications functions.

Implement and manage data hygiene reporting, regularly monitoring database integrity, sharing insights with colleagues, and partnering with them to strengthen data quality across the Foundation.
Gift Processing:

Ensure that the rules defined for cultivation processes are applied consistently by all fundraisers and partner with the Finance team to ensure reconciliation with our financial accounts.

Work closely with the Legal function to ensure accurate donor research records and due diligence are properly conducted and recorded.

Conduct quality checks to ensure the Foundation maintains accurate electronic records within the CRM of all gifts made to the Foundation, including the storage of important documents such as gift agreements and due diligence reports (liaising with the Legal team), which pertain to the Foundation’s relationship with our supporters and stakeholders.

Work with the Ops teams to manage an effective system for tracking overdue/outstanding pledge instalments and payments for the Foundation to be followed up.
PROFILE

Bachelor's degree in any academic field.

Minimum of 7+ years of relevant professional experience in a Database Management role within a fundraising organization.

Agile and IT-savvy approach with a demonstrable record of success in working with CRMs. Candidates with significant experience in Salesforce preferred.

Experience of relationship building and management with various stakeholders internally and externally.

Demonstrated success in building data analytics and reporting frameworks to support fundraising pipelines and reporting.

Strong stakeholder engagement skills; able to translate diverse needs into effective technical solutions.
