As Communications and Policy Officer, your role will be to raise awareness and increase understanding of Pause and the experiences of the women we work with in order to achieve positive change at both a national and local level.
This is a new role, sitting within the Partnerships and Engagement team, although you will work with colleagues across the whole organisation.

JOB TITLE: HR Coordinator

MAIN PURPOSE & SCOPE OF THE ROLE:
The HR Coordinator will provide specialist and proactive support to other departments within the charity to ensure organisational compliance in all relevant areas relating to HR.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Reporting to the People Engagement Manager, you will be supporting the Charity to set and deliver on its People Strategy. You will be responsible for providing operational HR services, advice, and guidance with a primary focus on HR transactions, employee relations management, engagement, recruitment and performance management. You will identify, analyse and utilise HR data to inform decision making and identify more efficient ways of working.

ABOUT THE ROLE
You will lead the development and implementation of a best practice approach to recruitment.
You will advise managers on best practice techniques for monthly one-to-one meetings and annual appraisals to ensure staff feel confident to openly discuss challenges as well as successes.
You will review and update our existing HR policies and procedures, ensuring they not only comply with current HR law but importantly promote best practice.
You will also work with the senior leadership team to develop a set of organisational values that prioritise equality, diversity and inclusion and reflect best practice, ensuring these are then communicated to all staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Role
· Maintain all HR policies and procedures ensuring they are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect relevant legislation and best practice.
· Ensure managers and staff are aware of and understand policies and procedures, communicate changes, and provide support to managers when interpreting policies as required.
· To work in collaboration with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team in leading Medical Detection Dogs towards our vision of becoming a staff-centric charity.
· Provide an efficient service to deliver HR transaction activities throughout the employment lifecycle, from offer to off-boarding.
· Provide support, guidance, and advice for managers in conducting and concluding employee relations cases, including absence, performance management, disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring adherence to policy.
· Manage, maintain, and deliver the charity’s onboarding induction to new members of staff.
· Always maintain the highest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
· Be a role model within the charity demonstrating MDD’s values and behaviours at all times.
· Monitor completion of performance appraisals and one to one meetings, issuing reminders and offering support to managers as required.
· Coordinate and support the delivery of employee engagement surveys, including planning, analysis, reporting and follow up actions.
· Produce regular HR reports and people data metrics for the Senior Leadership Team (e.g. turnover, tenure, sickness absence trends, performance outcomes).
· Maintain and update the HR system (Breathe HR), ensuring employee records are accurate and up to date.
· Prepare and submit monthly payroll changes to the finance team in line with payroll deadlines.
· Manage staff benefits including the health cash plan, life assurance, pension scheme and long service awards.
· Produce and circulate internal HR communications such as staff newsletters, HR updates and policy changes.
· Coordinate and support learning and development activities, including booking and maintaining training records and delivering HR related training for managers and staff (e.g. one to ones, appraisals, HR systems).
· Assist in developing employee engagement initiatives.
· Contribute to wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.

· CIPD Qualified and a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or currently undertaking the qualification.

Main Responsibilities:

This will cover Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Immingham and surrounding villages. The Dementia Service provides responsive and individualised support to people affected by dementia.
You will manage your own case load, pan and facilitate a monthly dementia café and host pop up information stands. You will be part of a highly motivated and supportive team, where you will share responsibility of some admin tasks, including local service telephone cover, building relationships with a range of local contacts, networking with health and care professionals and voluntary sector organisations and working together to make dementia a priority in North East Lincolnshire.
You will be part of the Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Support and Partnership Directorate, we delivery direct support to people affected by dementia and their caregivers ensuring that they are at the centre of decision-making and have access to the right support at the right time.

About the role
This is a hugely exciting time to be joining Galop, with flexibility to think long term about how best to drive change and do something new and different. Whilst Galop has always advocated for policy change, this role is part of a new, growing team specifically focused on evidence-based policy change. The team is led by the Director of Policy and Evidence and composed of a Research Manager, Survivor Engagement Manager, Research Officer and this Policy Officer role.
We are building an effective Policy and Evidence team, rooted in frontline insights, a formal research programme, and opportunities to make change happen for LGBT people at a pivotal time. We work alongside Government ministers and officials, parliamentarians and regional authorities at the highest level to make evidence-based policy change.
As the Policy Officer, you will report to the Director of Policy and Evidence and work alongside the team to deliver Galop’s policy priorities, with support. You will also work closely with the Communications and Fundraising team and our Services.
You will be expected to:
- Undertake desk-based research, alongside using Galop’s own research, to support evidence-based policy analyses and positions.
- Draft policy briefings, research summaries, consultation responses, letters, reports, newsletters and stakeholder communications
- Research and track policy developments, political landscape changes, and other relevant areas to identify opportunities to further Galop’s objectives.
- Monitor and report on parliamentary activities, government announcements, and consultations relevant to LGBT victims/survivors.
- Assist the team to deliver funded influencing projects such as a mapping study of LGBT accessible support services across London, by supporting the Director to work with decision makers to make system-change happen across London.
- Support collaboration across Galop to ensure policy positions reflect the lived experiences of our frontline services and service users.
- Help build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including civil servants, parliamentarians, and external partners.

You will assist with developing working relations with existing corporate partners and increasing our reach by creating new partnerships in the local area and beyond.
Your responsibility will be to manage and deliver volunteering sessions throughout the entire portfolio of parks and greenspaces. You will develop a volunteering program which is established but in its infancy, working with key managers and the team around you to create a purposeful and output focussed programme of opportunities for local groups and corporate partners. The potential to develop volunteering is significant, and therefore the most suitable candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to ‘make things happens’.
You will be responsible for creating each volunteer session as it addresses improvements or enhancements, and manage the needs of all volunteers throughout their experience. Skills and Experience:

This is a new role created at IRMO to strengthen how we measure, understand and communicate our impact. It sits at the heart of a learning-focused, community-led organisation working for migrant rights and social justice. We are open to hiring at either Officer or Lead level, depending on the experience and skills of the successful candidate.
We’re looking for someone with strong experience in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) who can take the lead in reviewing our current MEL systems and practices, identifying what’s working well and where there’s room for improvement. About the role
As an Experienced Practitioner, you will provide direct support and care for our young people who have complex emotional and mental health difficulties (such as trauma and loss) and can struggle to regulate their emotions.

The Down’s Syndrome Association is the only organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland focusing solely on all aspects of living successfully with Down’s syndrome. The successful candidate will cover the whole spectrum of duties in relation to media and communication areas and needs to be able to think strategically and work operationally. You will lead the development of our media strategy, build and maintain a strong media contracts database and nurture relations both online and across other offline platforms. We are looking for candidates with at least three years proven experience in either media relations, journalism or communications. An understanding of the key ingredients of success in developing relationships with local and national media engagement, as well as managing performance in line with budgets are also essential.
