Job Title: Production Supervisor
Reporting To: Production Unit manager
Salary Range: £32- 36,000 (FTE) per annum (Dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: Felix Food Factory (SE8 5HY)
Hours/Days per week: 37.5 hour per week, 8.5 hours per day (between 8am - 8pm). Monday – Saturday (5 days on, 2 days off). Operating hours to start with for the operation will be Monday - Friday 8am – 6pm.

About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job
We are looking for the Production Supervisor to play a key role in our brand-new Production team under project ‘Unit 17’.
You will be the on the ground senior leading the teams in the daily tasks to be completed, working as the connection between the management team and the team members and volunteers. Working hands on within all the production lines, leading by example and supporting the team across the operation.
This is an operational role, mainly based on the production floor but with a range of reporting and administrative tasks involved. You will report into the Production Manager and work closely with them on the day to day running of the unit as well as supporting covering their duties when they are away.
You will be supervising and supporting the teams to deliver on each day’s production targets as well as ensuring that all rules and HACCAP plans are followed correctly, providing real time feedback to the management team on any issues and resolutions taken.
More about Unit 17
In early/mid 2025, we opened our second production facility as part of the Coronation Food Project. The Coronation Food Project was set up to celebrate His Majesty King Charles 75th birthday and seeks to bridge the gap between food waste and food need across the UK.
We will be taking in surplus food from our supplier network and creating a range of products which have added value and extended shelf life. A particular focus will be seasonal produce gluts, using ingredients which we may otherwise not be able to redistribute.
Using four key processes (re-packaging, jarring / preserving, dehydrating and freezing), we will create a range of products which will be used in these three main ways:

Distributed to our partner community organisations as ‘ready to eat’ or ‘easy to use’ products for their service users - always delicious, achieving relevant safety standards and meeting the needs of the eventual end user.

Used in the East London Central Production Unit (CPU) to support creating Felix Ready Meals.

Used in Unit 17 in the creation of other products (for example frozen produce later used to make jarred sauces or preserves)
A typical day at Unit 17 will likely include planning new product/s based on the ingredients available that day, agreeing relevant food safety requirements and working in line with this, working with the production team and volunteers to prepare, produce and package delicious products, planning for future products and project work.
Duties and Responsibilities

This is a brand new and unique operation and requires someone with experience and an openness to creating and delivering on a new project. Someone who believes in the mission we have as an organisation and wants to put their experience and knowledge into a mission driven project. Whilst previous experience and knowledge within food production is essential, we are looking for someone who wants to grow into the role and be able to develop themselves and their knowledge whilst we develop this new operation.

The Older People's Clinical Fellow (Occupational Therapist) will be part of the Centre of Clinical Expertise and a member of the Cancer and Other Long Term Conditions Core Strategic group. Job Profile
CAFOD’s work in the Catholic community of England and Wales is to inspire and resource Catholics to participate in the Church’s mission to overcome poverty and injustice in partnership with CAFOD.
The main purpose of this role is to inspire and increase the participation in CAFOD’s work of Catholic parishes, schools and the broader Catholic community within the Plymouth Diocese. CPCs are accountable for delivering CAFOD’s annual participation plans locally across England and Wales. As well as growing the number of parishes and schools participating to address global poverty and express solidarity with our global family, we aim to increase the breadth of their engagement, participation.
This will be accomplished partly by the recruitment and support of a team of committed, inspired and well-resourced volunteers working in parish and school communities to enable and equip Catholics to give, act and pray. The work will also involve meeting important church-based stakeholders, advisers and networks within the diocese to build fruitful and positive relationships.
The post reports to the Community Participation Manager for Wales & West Region (The dioceses of Lancaster, Liverpool, Salford, Shrewsbury, Wrexham, Cardiff-Menevia, Clifton, Birmingham, and Plymouth)
The Community Participation Coordinator (CPC) is part of a regional team working across a group of dioceses and whilst having a primary focus on one diocese, is responsible for the results of the regional team plans in relation parishioner and school participation and volunteer recruitment and retention.
The role will be home based, although the post holder will be mobile and flexible to meet volunteers, clergy and other stakeholders and contribute at events as required.
The role requires a willingness to be adaptable to support the work of the regional team, deploying skills, knowledge and at times activity in other parts of the regional team area. This is likely to require some additional travel (which would be reimbursed by CAFOD). The post also requires weekend and evening work for which time off in lieu (toil) can be claimed.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering participation plans
- Share accountability for delivery of annual participation plans for the region (a group of dioceses) with a primary focus on one diocese, and for fundraising, education, campaigns, and other targets, as delineated by the participation plan for the region. It is usually anticipated that the role will have an 80% focus on parish communities and a 20% focus on school communities
- Contribute to the development and delivery of a regional plan across a number of dioceses in support of the annual participation plans and appropriate for local contexts
- Achieve targets for increasing parishioner and children & young people participation primarily through recruitment and retention of volunteers and working with clergy, religious, diocesan and parish advisers and administrators etc.

Our homes comprise of single male tenants or single female tenants or families, all of whom have experienced homelessness, and your role will be ensuring that all tenants have up to date personal development plans, risk assessments and ongoing support.
Each home is partnered with a local church who provide love and friendship for the tenants, that you will also support. This will involve actively engaging with the church and maintaining church interest in the Hope into Action project. The role includes training, equipping, and encouraging church volunteers in their role as mentors and befrienders to the tenants.
You will need to have a flexible approach to working outside of the normal 9-5 to be able to engage with tenants that work and the volunteers. You will be required to occasionally speak in Sunday services and get involved in occasional weekend and evening events. As an Outreach Advocate within The Angelou Centre you will be part of our front-line team providing emotional and trauma informed support to women and children experiencing gender based domestic abuse. The primary responsibility of all advocates within The Angelou is to provide women and children with continuous one-to-one support, practical advice and advocacy, such as writing referrals for women to access the Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC). Much of this work takes the form of casework, and report writing, as well as ensuring that the women receive comprehensive support that addresses their health, social care, housing, immigration and benefit-related needs.
All advocates are required to spent at least 30% of your time on outreach work to engage with communities outside of The Angelou Centre. However, as our new Outreach Advocate you will spend 3 days with Wearside Women in Need (WWIN) based in Sunderland and 2 days working within our office in Newcastle. This is a new partnership work to ensure that we continue to provide specialist Black and racialised support across the North East. You will work in Sunderland and Newcastle to provide tailored support, advice and advocacy, raising awareness of domestic abuse through outreach activities ensuring our services are accessible to women of the Black and racialised community.
Our ideal candidate is someone who;
- Is confident and pro-active in advocating on behalf of our survivors and able to represent their needs when working with partner agencies
- Is compassionate, non-judgmental and committed to supporting survivors of domestic abuse
- Has excellent written skills with some experience of casework within legal, healthcare or an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities
Advice and Advocacy Support
- Provide tailored, one-to-one continuous support, advice, and advocacy to black and minoritised victims and survivors of domestic abuse and exploitation
- Provide weekly drop-in opportunities for black and racially minoritized women in the local area
- Support improved mental wellbeing and resilience, measured using Warwick Edinburgh Mental Well Being Scale and the Chaos Index for those with complex needs.

Outreach Advocacy Specific

You will use your lived experience of mental health challenges to help people develop the skills and confidence needed to manage their home and finances, reconnect with family and friends and explore social or vocational interests. This support will empower individuals to engage more actively in their local community and maintain their physical and mental well-being.
This is a non-clinical role, which will require the use of simple evaluation tools and impact data. This role is pivotal in developing a collaborative environment where service users are actively engaged in their care and decision-making process.
About you
You must have lived experience of mental health-related challenges and understand the difficulties clients face and be able to work respectfully with empathy and sensitivity. Experience in safeguarding issues and working with a diverse range of clients, including isolated individuals and communities, is essential.
Commitment to equality of opportunity and understanding of the importance of maintaining boundaries and how to ensure this occurs are essential. You will work flexibly and must be willing and able to travel easily around the North Lincolnshire area.
The salary for 28 hours is £18,345.60 pa.
