Job Summary

To be the initial point of contact for customers accessing Huddersfield Mission services. To provide initial stage advice and assistance on a variety of needs. To work within the Advice Team to ensure the smooth running of Huddersfield Mission’s drop-in service, responding to requests for advice and support to customers and triaging them to the correct team member for support.

Main Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for clients referred in to the service, ensuring that comprehensive impact and risks assessments are completed and a tailored response to each client’s needs is provided.
• To ensure the effective delivery of the Mission advice drop-in, telephone support service and appointments service
• Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service
• To make onward referrals and signpost where appropriate to other sources of help, such as statutory and non-statutory agencies
• To work with our Community Champion and other health partners to support customers underlying health needs particularly where these might be addressed with community-based intervention.
• To ensure impartiality and confidentiality when dealing with customers
• Regularly update electronic case records using our Lamplight – our CRM system to enable continuity of casework, monitoring and information retrieval.

• To work in a non-judgemental, person-centred, asset-based way to enable customers to achieve positive outcomes, such as maximising income or accessing health and wellbeing services.
• A commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk and to take appropriate action, in line with our Safeguarding Policy and procedures under the direction of our Designated Safeguarding Leads.
• To manage customer behaviour within the Mission policy.
• To implement and adhere to all Mission policies and practices in relation to all aspects of our work
• Any other duties and responsibilities, identified by the Advice Services Manager as are within your capabilities and level of responsibility, in order to meet the needs of the Huddersfield Mission
• To participate in meetings at the Mission, to promote partnership working with other support services within Kirklees
• To liaise with internal and external agencies where appropriate, including safeguarding referrals.

Jessie’s Fund is a UK charity helping children with life-limiting illness or special educational needs and disabilities to communicate through music. As they reach their 30th Anniversary in 2025, they are seeking a Deputy Director (Education) to help grow their programme of creative music residencies in specialist settings across the UK. The role includes fundraising in direct support of the projects (grants) and deputising for the Executive Director as required.

• To lead the overall programme strategy for the Schools Programme, including family music and other creative music projects
• To design and implement the Schools Programme annual business plan, in collaboration with colleagues and the charity’s external advisers, reporting progress monthly against the plan to the Executive Director
• To develop effective relationships with the network of highly qualified freelance musicians across the UK who deliver on the programme, including organising annual CPD events

Your experience:

• Experience of arts administration/project management

The purpose of the role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for delivering, renewing and evolving new and existing high-value, long-term corporate partnerships. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will also support with new business and revenue generation through securing additional income.

• Proven track record of securing income and managing partnerships/sponsorships, possibly gained within a target driven environment.

HR & Operations

● Oversee Coney’s remote-working and office systems, including IT systems, schedules and other resources, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and cost-effective.

● Create and submit quarterly VAT returns using Quickbooks

Stakeholder Management & Fundraising

● Work alongside the JCEOs to maintain high level contact and dialogue with Coney’s key stakeholders.

● Manage Coney’s Friends scheme and support effective communication with funders.

● Alongside the rest of the core team, identify opportunities for fundraising, commercial projects and consultancy, building relationships and contributing to funding proposals as required.

Marketing & Communications

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer and Executive Programme Director / JCEO to prepare and execute a marketing and communications plan – strategically positioning Coney’s work across communities and sectors.

● Support the Marketing & Admin Officer to ensure regular communication with Coney networks (newsletters, social media and other relationships) and produce effective communication and ticketing systems for events and projects as required.

About the role

The London Library is planning a major, multi-year building project and is looking for a Senior Facilities Officer - Project Management to work within the Buildings and Facilities Management team to help support and deliver the project.

As part of a small, hands-on team, this new role will also support the Library’s maintenance and improvement programmes, arranging contractor works and providing liaison with colleagues across the Library. The post reports to the Buildings & Facilities Manager. Some weekend and out of hours working will be required.

About you

You will hold an appropriate formal qualification within a relevant discipline, with previous experience of facilities project management, preferably in the charity, cultural or not-for-profit sector. The Role

The PR Manager plays a central role, working closely with the Head of Media to manage the public relations function of the charity. You will be responsible for helping to develop and execute prominent and high impact national and regional media campaigns, to help people better understand the mission and take action to support it.

Your main duties and responsibilities include:

· Generate regular, positive, proactive media coverage

· Proactively sell stories into the media as well as react to incoming enquiries

· Work with the Head of Media to develop impactful press strategies in line with the wider PR strategy

• Maintain existing and develop new audiences, identifying programme strands that respond to and anticipate the needs and interests of diverse communities, introducing new ideas, innovative content and inclusive talent pathways.

• Identify opportunities to develop The Africa Centre events across the UK and digitally, to reach wider audiences and deepen brand recognition across the year.
• Identify project funding to develop audiences, increase diversity and meet equalities objectives.
• Oversee learning and engagement programmes in the UK.
• Deliver and build upon current UK funded projects and contribute to developing funding bids.
• Oversee the management of TAC’s marketing and communications functions, including our public relations, website and social media accounts, ensuring that they are updated, relevant and archived appropriately.

Impact

• Lead on development and delivery of the organisation’s strategic Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact framework and associated plans and systems
• Develop and delivering TAC’s social purpose agenda, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives.
• Oversee the development and management of TAC’s archives, be it digital, documental or physical, ensuring that they are catalogued, accessible and available for utilisation as a key resource.

Operational

• Line manage the programme, education and engagement team(s), recruiting, as necessary, skilled persons to deliver TAC programmes.
• Manage the delivery of contracts and partnership collaborative efforts, ensuring that contracting is delivered to the highest standards at all times to protect the reputation and financial standing of the charity and to meet contractor’s expectations.
• Identify potential funders relevant to area and contribute to writing business plans demonstrating a seamless relationship between content, programmes, events, audiences, and the core business activities
• Support the work of the Director of Development Team in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy and the Director of Finance & Operations on delivering TAC financial plans

Governance & Compliance

• Write reports for the board as and when required by the CEO in a timely and appropriate manner
• Work with the Director of Finance & Ops to ensure the financial health and sustainability of the charity in delegated budget area(s), adhere to TAC Financial Regulations and Procurement Policy.
• Ensure that all artist contracting is undertaken within TAC procurements and contracting policies observing all other required policies and statutory guidelines e.g., Equalities, Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Intellectual Property, GDPR, Finance and Procurements etc.
• Maintain accurate records on The Africa Centre’s document management system and databases.
• Respond to general enquiries by email or telephone, manage own workload and maintain an online diary, using agreed TAC systems.

Leadership

• Be a vital, collegiate member of the TAC Senior leadership team,
• Develop and nurture relationships with the TAC Board, managing relevant committees and reporting to the Board and sub-committees as required.
• Represent the organisation at appropriate internal and external events and meetings, locally, regionally and globally.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Essential

• A clearly-evidenced long-standing passion for Africa and people of African Descent
• 3 - 5 years working at a senior level in a similar role
• Excellent Programme Management experience with excellent budget management skills
• Excellent communication and networking skills, adept at effectively engaging people across a range of settings – from school children to Prime Ministers and Presidents;
• Educated to degree level of equivalent (relevant subject area)
• Team player, able to work cross disciplinary with artists, experts, academics, key stakeholders, and audiences in a programming function working with diverse audiences
• Specialist knowledge of audience development gained through 3 years’ experience
• Agile approach to work, recognising the limitations and challenges of running a small charitable organisation and willingness to work flexibly to get things done, apply effort and integrity at all times. Regular weekend and evening work will be required.
• Experience of working with an operations team to deliver events (production, tech requirements, artist management)
• Experience of delivering to funder obligations (Trusts and Foundations/Public and Private Funding) • Excellent network in publishing; cultural and creative sector; or other relevant sectors
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, et al.

• Understanding and experience of digital content production
• Masters level qualification or equivalent
• Awareness of how to use emerging technologies including AI to develop impactful programming and engagement.

Work Arrangements

Location: The Africa Centre office, London. Occasional remote working is encouraged. The post-holder will be required to be on location in London for relevant activities. Some international travel will be required.

Hours of work: Full time. 35 hours per week. The post holder will be expected to be flexible and there will be requirements to work such days and hours that may vary in accordance with business requirements, including regular evenings and weekends and occasional holiday periods.

Holidays: 25 days per year, plus Christmas shutdown (3 days) and public holidays

Transforming Lives for Good (TLG) are a national Christian charity working in partnership with local churches to give struggling children hope and a future. Building on the huge success of TLG Early Intervention Coaching, TLG Therapeutic Support will be a new way for TLG, with partner churches, to provide support in school for the increasing number of pupils struggling to cope due to their emotional, relational, and mental health experiences.

In this role we are looking for an individual that thrives working with children and young people in a school context and is passionate about supporting pupils and their families struggling with emotional, relational, and mental health challenges. The ideal candidate will be a qualified counsellor with an aptitude for creativity whether this is music and drama, sport and outdoor recreation or other fields of kinaesthetic development. The TLG Therapeutic Counsellor will be present each week in the school, providing specialist trauma aware care for these children, whilst supporting staff and parents too, so we're looking for an individual who can build and foster strong relationships. We're looking for a passionate and experienced Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising strategy. You will work closely with our CEO and Fundraising Officer to raise funds from a range of sources to support our work with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. You will also ensure that LRMN has positive relationships with funders and line manager the Fundraising Officer.
