We are looking for a talented fundraiser, ideally with a background in the cultural sector to join the Gardens, Libraries & Museums (GLAM) Team within the Development and Alumni Engagement team of the University of Oxford.
In this role in any given week you might see a dodo, extraordinary thousand-year old Chinese ceramics, insects collected by Darwin, the first scientifically described dinosaur and drawings by John Ruskin, as well as work on projects involving saving the largest flower in the world or supporting world-leading restitution work.
The collections are important and renowned on their own accounts, but also play a key role in the University’s research. In addition, they are the open doors to the University of Oxford, encouraging a diverse range of communities to engage with our academics and curators.
About the role:
Your role will include fundraising to support the various institutions, working with individuals, trusts and corporations. You will be responsible for a portfolio of donors, including prospecting and stewardship. As part of the wider GLAM fundraising team, you will also be responsible for delivery of stewardship events and get involved with wider appeal activities. You will work with curators and Directors in the various institutions and have the opportunity to frame appealing projects to present to prospects.

The City and Guilds of London Art School is a small, independent Higher Education Institute. Purpose of the Role
The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.
Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.
The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.
The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.
In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.
Digital Marketing
- Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
- Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.
- Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.
- Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms
- Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
- Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
- Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.
Design & Brand
- Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
- Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
- Ensure ArtsEd embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion through all digital marketing touchpoints.
- Develop and manage image library including liaising with relevant staff to select images, co-ordinating in-house photography and film requirements, up-dating plasma screen and fulfilling external requests for images.

Graphic Design

Recruitment
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
- Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
- Managing an associated programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
- Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
- To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
- Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.
Social Media
- Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy

You will implement a philanthropic giving strategy that significantly shifts the museums approach towards the generation of substantial philanthropic income and that supports the Museum's vision and mission. You will work collaboratively with the Executive, Board of Trustees and senior leadership team to establish a long-term plan and supporting fundraising strategies that align and help the museum move forward with its objectives.
Cultivate and Steward Donors
You will actively cultivate and steward relationships with potential and existing donors, for major new, repeat and legacy gifts, significantly raising the profile of Beamish, generating excitement and a desire to support Beamish now and into the future across a range of projects. These will be supported by stewardship plans that foster mutual trust to secure ongoing support.
Reputation and Engagement
You will build the profile of the Museum through donor engagement. You will personally manage a portfolio of prospective donors, guiding them through the cultivation process, and ultimately securing new funding. You will work closely with the CEO building new networks, opening new doors and linking with communities in support of the museum's philanthropic goals and furthering its reputation and that of the sector.
Successful Philanthropy Team
You will ensure a high performing team is in place that supports Beamish’s Philanthropic strategy, imbuing a culture of innovation and enterprise across the museum. The team will ensure day to day delivery of the function, including to trusts and grants, provide excellent customer service, and produce timely data to support and measure the impact of all giving. The opportunity
University of the Arts London (UAL) is looking for an Event Manager to join our Development Events Team on a fixed term basis, covering a period of maternity leave.
Supported by an Events Officer, you will lead on the end-to-end planning and delivery of key events to support UAL’s first major fundraising campaign, launching this Autumn. The Senior Grants Officer (Business Development) will join ClientEarth’s thriving and growing Business Development team. A key role for securing new grant income, the postholder will play a crucial part in the research and cultivation of potential new funder relationships, and will develop and submit winning funding proposals to trusts, foundations and institutional donors.
They will manage their own portfolio of prospective funders, and undertake detailed prospect research into the foundation donor market whilst liaising with ClientEarth’s global teams across different programme areas and geographies. Working closely with the Business Development Manager, they will identify potential alignment with ClientEarth’s strategic priorities and inform decision-making in relation to funding opportunities.

In this role, you will be managed by Alex Wright. A fundraiser for over 12 years, Alex previously worked for a range of national music charities and is a trustee of two arts education charities. As part of the Business Development Team at ClientEarth, he manages the cultivation of new relationships with trusts and foundations in the US and securing new grant income. Alex joined ClientEarth in 2024 and is based in our London office.
Main Duties
- Prospect research and pipeline development - Proactively undertake research to identify, qualify and prioritise new funding prospects/ opportunities to support the build of a pipeline of high quality leads to guide future fundraising efforts;
- Business Development and Income generation - Draft clear and compelling written fundraising materials including cases for support, funding proposals, and concept notes;
- Systems and processes - Provide timely and accurate information to the Business Development Manager on funding opportunities in their portfolio and progress with workplan, as requested, to enable accurate monitoring and reporting to the Head of Business Development;
- Understanding of ClientEarth’s programmes and funding needs
Role requirements
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Experience of working in a fundraising or business development role for a charity, NGO, private or public entity;
- Experience of drafting compelling and successful proposals for trusts, foundations and statutory institutions and securing multi-year grants, ideally at the six-figure level and above;
- Experience of supporting the relationship development process with a new donor, from prospect research through to ask.
- Strong project management skills to lead the proposal development process to meet funder deadlines, including stakeholder management;

We are looking for two Development Managers to join our Development team focusing on Individual Giving and Trust and Foundation Fundraising.

The Development Manager (Trust and Foundations) will manage the strategic development of Trusts and Foundations fundraising, identifying opportunities to drive growth in this area. The post-holder will oversee income generation from grant-making organisations and ensure timely reporting to funders.

About the Role
Under the direction of the Chief Executive, the Deputy Chief Executive (Operations and Services) will be responsible for the overall financial management, business reporting and operational services for the organisation. The person within this role will develop controls, policies and procedures that work for a variety of audiences including student volunteers, staff and trustees. They will lead on setting the strategic financial goals for the organisation and take a proactive role in supporting our performance towards these goals. The role will also support several departmental managers who deliver organisational services in the areas of finance, commercial and central services. You will be confident in providing high quality strategic advice to the Board of Trustees regarding the long-term future of the organisation as well as supporting the wider team with day-to-day functions and operations.
We are looking for a dynamic leader who ideally has a relevant finance qualification or can demonstrate a high-level of job-related knowledge. You will also have good technical knowledge and hands-on experience of accounting software and finance systems. The National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT) has embarked on a new exciting five-year strategy – ‘Becoming Seamlessly Inclusive 2023-2028’. To help us on this journey, this is an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Trust’s ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’, a key role within our organisation. We are looking for someone who would enjoy supporting our volunteers and trainees and who can demonstrate good administration skills.
The NPHT is a young dynamic and diverse organisation and a leader in accessible heritage. Over our first five years we have engaged with over half a million people with the ambition to reach a million over the next five years, with support from several major heritage funders including the Arts Council England (as an NPO), National Lottery Heritage Fund, Rothschild Foundation, Museums Association Esmee Fairbairn, Wolfson Foundation, Art Fund and Garfield Weston.
Background
The NPHT was formed in 2015 with the core purpose to ‘enlighten and inspire future generations by celebrating, cherishing and bringing the Paralympic heritage and its stories of human endeavour to life’ and in doing so, to challenge negative perceptions of disability. Our purpose is to celebrate, cherish and bring the heritage to life, in a compelling and evocative way, securing a legacy, feeding a growing public interest since London 2012, changing attitudes, and instilling national pride.
In our role as caretakers of one of the World’s most important disability history collections, the Paralympic movement, we aim to become, and help others become seamlessly inclusive. From 2023 to 2028 for every £2 we spend, we aim to positively broaden somebody’s understanding of disability and transcend heritage access.
In our first 5 years 2017 to 2022 we have reached over half a million people across the UK, and overseas (over 50% of our website visitors are from abroad representing 195 different nations), establishing an accredited museum and collection of international importance. Our learning programmes and digital engagement are recognised as providing ground-breaking access to D/deaf and disabled audiences.
Our purpose and moral responsibility is to continue to bring this unique British heritage to life, building awareness of Paralympic history, sport and the individuals involved in its development.
We seek to do this in a compelling and evocative way that pushes the boundaries of access for all, changing attitudes, serving national inclusion agendas, and instilling national pride.

Role of the Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer:
1. Overall
1.1 To support and develop the volunteer and work placement programmes.
1.2 To practically support two of our trainees with neurodiversity.
2. Key Responsibilities
2.1 To oversee the volunteer programme with support from the Head of Programmes.
2.2 To manage the ‘access to work’ programmes.
2.3 To act as a work coach to the trainees, helping them deliver their work plans.
2.4 To support the ‘Learning Manager and Collections Engagement Officer’ with the provision of volunteers for their programmes of work.
2.5 To support the work placement’s programme and individuals completing them, by planning out the work in liaison across the team and helping the ‘Head of Programmes’ carry out the work.
2.6 To support the Trust’s community liaison.
2.7 To support other programmes of work as directed.
3. Meetings and reporting
3.1 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’will be employed by the National Paralympic Heritage Trust and be responsible to the Board of Trustees.
3.2 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’ will report to, be managed and supported by the ‘Head of Programmes’.
3.3 The ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer will have monthly meetings with the ‘Head of Programmes reporting on progress and raising any areas of concern.
4. Period of Contract
4.1 May 2024 to the end of April 2026.
5. Contract fee/Pay
5.1 The proposed fee is £25,000 a year pro-rata - three days a week (24 hours).
5.2 In addition to the payment outlined above the ‘Volunteer and Trainee Support Officer’ will be paid reasonable agreed expenses incurred subject to the supply of receipts/travel expense claim. The post holder will also be eligible for a stakeholder pension.
6. Indemnity
Insurance is covered by the NPHT.
