Job description

Independent Age works to ensure that as we grow older, we all have the opportunity to live well with dignity, choice and purpose.  To achieve this we provide information, advice and connection services for older people; campaign on the issues that matter most to them around health and care, poverty and loneliness and provide capacity building support to others working in the sector.

This is an exciting time to join the charity as we transition to our new ambitious strategy for 2021 – 2023 and increase our profile, impact and reach so more people can live a happy, connected and purposeful later life. 

The purpose of the role is to develop the architectural blueprint required to manage multiple systems, and couple datasets, including the creation and implementation of data models, policies and standards; Ensuring systems can be integrated, unified and data can be aggregated coherently. The output will provide our colleagues a holistic view of our activities and ensure we have complete knowledge of our stakeholders from across all our business areas.

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have a sound understanding of data governance and strategy, data modelling, data architecture solutions for integrations, migrations, analytics, development and data quality.
  • Be able to collaborate well with other data analysts, developers and subject matter experts.
  • Be passionate about data
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be an inclusive team player.

Although this role will be based in our London offices, all employees are currently home based due to the Covid19 pandemic.
