We are a small and fresh team that has been working in the IT industry for years. In 2020, we decided to launch our business idea and share our knowledge and experience with those customers who need help understanding the meaning of Information Technology nowadays.

Kobu Smart, a dynamic and rapidly growing technology company, is seeking a proactive and talented Marketing Assistant with a strong focus on SEO strategies. As we continue to expand our reach and innovate within the industry, we are looking for an individual who can contribute creative ideas and execute effective SEO tactics to enhance our online presence and drive traffic to our platforms.
What you’ll be doing
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-value target keywords and optimize website content accordingly.
- Perform on-page and off-page SEO optimization, including meta tags, URL structures, internal linking, and backlink acquisition.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console, and provide regular reports and insights to the team.
- Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes to adjust strategies accordingly and maintain competitive advantage.
- Assist in the creation of compelling content optimized for SEO, including blog posts, articles, and landing pages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including content creators, designers, and developers, to ensure SEO best practices are implemented throughout all digital assets.
- Support marketing campaigns with SEO insights and recommendations to maximize their effectiveness.
- Provide support for other marketing initiatives and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Proven experience in SEO strategy development and implementation, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors.
- Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, or similar.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data to drive informed decisions.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress or Drupal is a plus.
- Passion for technology and innovation.

We are looking for two new trustees to join Solving Kids’ Cancer UK on its journey towards a future where no child dies of the childhood cancer neuroblastoma or suffers due to the treatment they receive. We are particularly looking for one new trustee with personal lived experience of neuroblastoma.
Solving Kids’ Cancer UK is a very special charity with a dedicated and passionate team of staff and trustees – we are proud of our parent-led ethos, which means that parents with lived experience of neuroblastoma work at every level of our charity to help ensure we remain focused on addressing the challenges faced by the people who need our support most.
In your role as a trustee you will use your skills, knowledge, and experience to support and have accountability for the oversight of the charity’s activities at a strategic level. You will apply commitment, focus, effective communication, and team working to help the charity achieve the greatest impact for children and families.

Summary of main responsibilities
Your overall responsibility as trustee will be to provide direction and stewardship for Solving Kids’ Cancer UK in support of its charitable aims, by:
· Setting the charity’s vision, mission, and values.
· Developing a strategy to achieve its objectives and monitoring its performance.
· Ensuring the charity seeks and considers the views of current and future users.
· Acting as guardian of the charity’s assets.
· Ensuring compliance with constitutional, legal, regulatory, and fiduciary requirements.
· Ensuring the charity’s governance is maintained to the highest possible standard.

Overall Purpose of Role
- To ensure on behalf of the Board that Plateful Cafe’s assets are properly managed, only used for approved purposes, and applied as effectively as possible
- Jointly oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and ensure they are legal, constitutional and within accepted accounting practice
Main Responsibilities
- Share the responsibility of jointly reporting the financial position (balance sheet, cash flow, fundraising performance etc).
- Jointly oversee the production of necessary financial reports/returns, accounts and audits and the production of an annual budget and propose its adoption at the last meeting of the previous financial year.
- To ensure jointly that proper accounts and records are kept and that Plateful Cafe meets its legal obligations in respect of its financial affairs and financial reporting
- To ensure jointly that Plateful Cafe’s financial resources are spent in line with good governance and legal and regulatory requirements
- To be jointly instrumental in the development and implementation of Plateful Cafe's financial policies
- To jointly supervise and assist Finance assistants
Main Tasks
- Liaising with the appropriate member(s) of volunteers responsible for Plateful Cafe’s
financial activities and financial record-keeping
- Make members aware of their financial obligations and take a lead in interpreting
financial data to them.
- Monitoring that financial systems and controls are in place and adhered to
- Assist the fundraising team and team with Funding applications with the finance
questions
- Assist with preparing budgets and other financial information for funding bids
- Assist volunteers with the preparation of financial reports for funders
- Acting as a financial spokesperson for Plateful Cafe as appropriate
- Ensure proper records are kept and that effective financial procedures and controls
are in place, ie:
- Cheque signatories
- Purchasing limits
- Purchasing systems
- Petty cash/ float
- Others as appropriate
- Appraising the financial viability of plans, proposals and feasibility studies.
- Lead on appointing and liaising with auditors/an independent examiner.
- Undertake bookkeeping duties and/or oversee the finance volunteer ensuring posting
and bookkeeping is kept up-to-date.
- Maintain the petty cash system and regularly process petty cash claims.
- Regularly carry out reconciliations/ oversee regular reconciliations by the finance
volunteer.
- Arrange payments to creditors as appropriate and arrange appropriate signatures on
payments.
- Make the necessary arrangements to collect payments from debtors and bank
payments promptly.
Qualities
Knowledge and experience of current and fundraising finance practice relevant to
voluntary and community organisations.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and financial management (as necessary).
Good financial analysis skills.
Ability to communicate clearly
Previous usage of Free Agent system preferable
Attention to details
Preferable previous experience on payroll
Experience on preparing budget

TRUSTEE VACANCY

If yes, we have an exciting opportunity to become a member of our Trustee Board and we would be delighted to hear from you.
Our trustees effectively lead our charity by working closely with our staff team to oversee our strategic direction and how we are run.
We are keen to recruit new board members who can help us to:
· Deliver on our vision, mission and strategic aims
· Reach and support more autistic children and their families every year
· Raise our profile and help introduce our cause to the local community
· Be self-sustaining and resilient for the long term.
All applicants are welcome, but we are particularly seeking candidates with experience or skills in the following areas:

· Business management & development
· Autism, neuro-diversity and/or Special Education Needs
· Commissioning & bid writing
Full training will be given, so we welcome applications from 1st time trustees.
We meet 6 times year and there is not an expectation to fulfil operational volunteering. Meetings take place early evening, either face to face (in Buckingham) or online.
