Grant Writing Team Manager
Role Description
Wekume is a movement empowering students to reach their full potential by breaking barriers to sexual and reproductive health through collaboration, empathy, innovation, and community. We operate a digital platform and on-campus programs that provide lifesaving tools like SafeChat, QuickTest, and SRH product access — helping students make informed choices and break the stigma around SRH.
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Volunteer Grant Writing Manager to guide and grow Wekume’s grant funding efforts. This role is critical to securing the resources needed to deliver on our mission and key performance indicators (KPIs) — from app development and outreach to donor growth and operational sustainability. You will lead a small volunteer team, coordinate grant research, drive high-quality proposal submissions, and help Wekume achieve its funding goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor Wekume’s volunteer grant writing team
- Identify aligned grant opportunities and manage a grants calendar
- Oversee drafting and submission of compelling proposals and reports
- Collaborate with leadership to align funding proposals with KPIs and impact priorities
- Ensure professionalism, accuracy, and timeliness in all submissions
Required Qualifications
- Proven success in grant writing (experience with non-profits, global health, or youth initiatives preferred)
- Strong leadership and team management experience (staff or volunteer teams)
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills
- Passion for Wekume’s mission and values
