We are looking for a candidate with strong experience of both digital and grassroots campaigning, to manage our Campaigns By You campaigning. Reporting to the Head of Campaigns By You, you will create and manage campaigns, and use the platform to drive change in the UK, making our country fairer, more respectful and more sustainable.
The Campaigns By You platform is the part of 38 Degrees where the general public and partner organisations can use our free software to run campaigns on anything from saving their local community spaces to major national issues. This role is also central to helping 38 Degrees build a broad and representative movement of supporters, who regularly take action to create impact on the big issues of the day.
This job is for you if you’re passionate about making the country fairer, more respectful, and more sustainable – and if you have the skills and drive to run popular, timely, creative, impactful, people-powered campaigns to make it happen. We’re looking for a digital campaigns expert who is quick to react to the news of the day, who’s happy to pick up the phone and find the perfect case study, who’s able to manage partner relationships well and who’s able to translate complex issues into easily understandable language.

Your background and experience

You understand how to translate complex issues into everyday understandable language and you’re experienced in running digital and offline campaigns that create change in local, national, political and corporate issue areas.
You’ll have loads of experience in digital-first campaigning, especially knowing how to use a large email list to spark activism, but also will love using a range of digital tools and platforms to give people the power to influence decision-makers.
You’ll be able to demonstrate experience of effective partnership and project management, thrive working in a fast paced reactive environment, sound judgement and good decision making, and be able to build productive, collaborative relationships at all levels that help you succeed in the CBY team, wider Impactful Campaigns Department and across the organisation as a part of the Senior Management team.

Main duties
- Lead relationships with a portfolio of trusts, foundations, and other grant-making bodies to establish a robust pipeline of sustainable income.
- Provide effective stewardship of existing trust donors and prospects to ensure repeat gifts and to increase support where relevant.
- Create innovative opportunities and develop funding proposals that match funding opportunities to The Passage’s range of services.

Salary: £38,000 per annum

Location: Home-based (travel costs paid for meetings)
Annual leave: 27 days FTE per annum plus Bank holidays (22 days FTE per annum under the Four Day Week)
Please note that at Waterwise we work a Four Day Week, under voluntary agreements which all staff members sign. This means that you will be contracted and paid as full-time but you will sign a voluntary agreement stating that you commit to employing efficiency tools both individual and team-wide to deliver and be paid for 5 days work within four normal 9 to 5 days - the office is closed on Fridays. Training will be provided and you will be expected to continue to refresh your training and to keep up use of the efficiency tools. Annual leave is also pro rata’d. We can answer any questions you may have about this at the interview/s. On a 20 hours a week contract, you would be spending 16 hours a week at work including the equivalent of 2 one hour lunch breaks, and this can be worked in a flexible pattern, such as two full days or more, shorter days.

Partnerships and Income Manager Role Description
The Partnerships and Income Manager role involves engaging a range of stakeholders to help generate greater impact and income for Waterwise. The Partnerships and Income Manager will be responsible for researching and identifying potential new business opportunities; conducting outreach to new and existing stakeholders to encourage collaboration; building and maintaining relationships with Waterwise partners, sponsors and members; and assisting with developing winning proposals for funding, in order to deepen the impact we make with individuals, communities and businesses across the UK. The Partnerships and Income Manager will lead on delivery against income targets for our services and events.
Key responsibilities in the role include:

Generating income for Waterwise by retaining existing partners, recruiting new partners, selling sponsorship opportunities, and increasing engagement and investment in Waterwise membership and services

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Legacy Marketing Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our legacy marketing programme.
Legacy gifts are our single largest source of voluntary income, with significant potential for growth. To recognise this, we have secured additional investment to help us engage, inspire and acquire new legacy supporters through multi-channel marketing activities.
Working closely with the Heads of Fundraising Campaigns and Individual Giving, you will develop strategies to raise awareness of gifts in Wills, reach new audiences and develop new supporter journeys to engage new and existing legacy pledgers and prospects with our research.

About the role
The Communications Manager is essential in driving delivery of our ambitious programme of work, with the communications team centrally located to work in partnership with our colleagues across all directorates and nations. Working closely with the Head of Communications and Marketing, key activities include supporting the updating of our content management system across three websites; rolling out a new marketing function within our CRM; and working with colleagues to ensure all digital marketing activity is integrated, value for money, agile by design and delivers against our strategic priorities. The role line-manages four direct reports.
We are looking for someone to bring demonstrable experience and dynamism to the team, and who will make evident to colleagues the value of coordinated communication strategies and plans in achieving our organisational objectives. You will understand the opportunities created in testing new channels and approaches to reach audiences; be creative with communications plans and deliverables; and see the importance of tracking content performance against agreed KPIs.

Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Demonstrable hands-on experience of building and delivering Business Intelligence (BI) solutions using BI technology, particularly Power BI
- Experience and expertise at writing SQL queries within SQL Server or similar toolAbility to use, understand and manage complex data sources: ability to extract data and identify and resolve inconsistencies that will impact on data accuracy and financial KPIs
- Capacity to provide robust analysis; ability to present complex information/data simply to a range of audiences
- Ability to produce concise narrative performance analysis with good attention to detail
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Background / strong understanding of restricted/institutional funding for development.
- Background and practice in fundraising and funding contract management
- Salesforce, Dynamics, Microsoft Fabric experience
