About The Role
As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs.
In this community and home based role from the Blackpool Fylde and Wyre area, you will offer support to your clients by phone, letter, email and in person home visits. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals. 
Blackpool is a new addition to the area we offer Post Diagnostic Support in and being a visible and active part of its support community is a must, networking and advertising the service.
You will work closely with the NHS Memory Assessment Service in clinics in Blackpool and in the wider Fylde and Wyre area when required, to offer support to people following a dementia diagnosis.
You will help organise, attend but not deliver Singing for the Brain sessions in Poulton-Le-Fylde and attend Support Hubs and other networking events.
About you

- Ability to support people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Confident in public speaking and talking about dementia with the potential to eventually run Carers Information Programmes.

- Supporting people affected by dementia, families and carers to access vital services.
- Attending diagnostic clinics run by the Memory Assessment Service
- Networking within the Blackpool area and becoming familiar with existing support groups and networks.
- Organising, attending but not delivering Singing for the Brain sessions
- Improving people’s sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
- Assisting with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Promoting our amazing service and building relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.

As our new Community Heat and Energy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering our major new community heat and energy workstrand. You’ll work with local communities and expert research partners to move forward local renewable energy projects which help power clean heat solutions at three different sites in England, as well as developing ways to remove barriers to delivering this type of project, such as supplying energy locally and matching supply and demand.

• Contract: 16 months at 4.5 days per week (or a nine-day fortnight if preferred). We are not accepting applications for job shares for this role. While we would like to extend the contract beyond 16 months, as this is a grant-funded role, we cannot currently offer this.

• Work status: We don’t have a sponsor licence, so we're unable to provide sponsorship for a work visa, and candidates are required to hold the right to work for the duration of the contract.

• Salary: £39,200 for a 4.5 day week (pro-rata’d from £43,556 FTE). This is band C3 on our pay scale. 

• Location: Some of the role will be site-specific. We are therefore open to candidates based anywhere in the UK, although some travel to project sites will be required, and there will be an  occasional requirement to attend our Camden office, although you would be welcome to work there more often.

• Working hours: 0.9 FTE, i.e. 4.5 days per week or a 9 day fortnight. Our core working days are Tuesday and Wednesdays, when all staff are required to work. 

• Managed by: Head of Aviation, Heat and Energy.

• Works closely with: Possible’s Head of Comms, Digital Comms and Engagement Manager and Fundraising Manager, as well as key external partners including community energy groups.

Are you passionate about supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives? Can you coordinate volunteers, who are the lifeblood of SHARe Knowsley?

You will be joining a dedicated team of 9 staff and over 40 volunteers, working for a well-respected grassroots charity. As individuals and an organisation, we are committed to welcoming, supporting and empowering refugees and people seeking asylum who live in the borough of Knowsley.

This role will require you to enjoy communicating with new and existing volunteers and have good organizational skills. You will also support the wider organization – especially the casework and community work, so an awareness of this is helpful.

The post is currently 3 days/week, with the opportunity to work flexibly across the week, but would require work on Monday and Tuesday mornings. Please read on to get an idea of the role and who we are looking for.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The purpose of this post is to support an established team of volunteers and recruit and train new volunteers. It is a role that will ensure volunteers remain up to date with training and abreast of information important to giving clear support to refugees and people seeking asylum. (The percentages in brackets give and estimated distribution of time spent in each area).

1. Provide support for volunteers (15%)

• Ensure regular and effective communication with volunteers via a variety of methods: e-mail, letters, newsletters, meetings, telephone, etc.
• Provide volunteers with on-going training and development opportunities
• Ensure volunteers have periodic project review meetings, as well as appropriate social activities

2. Coordinating volunteer activities (25%)

• To have oversight of volunteers at drop in/ English classes ensuring (i. volunteers are available; ii. resources are available at site (e.g. food or clothes for drop in))
•  Outreach volunteering such as befriending
• Back office volunteering (e.g. clothes sorting, admin)
• Ensuring that volunteers have appropriate roles and ways to progress
• Respond to any issues that arise that might then require training or reorganising of practices/policy

3. Recruit and train new volunteers (15%)

• Development of volunteer roles and opportunities in response to volunteer, staff and client feedback
• Co-ordinate the advertising, recruitment and assessment processes to ensure equality of access to volunteer roles
• Provide induction training for all volunteers to enable to fulfil their role (including health, safety and safeguarding)
• Ensure that volunteers understand the purpose, importance and process of data collection, case recording and monitoring systems and that they use them effectively where and as appropriate

4. Ensure quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation (10%)

• To develop and maintain volunteer policies and procedures in line with best practice (e.g. Investing in Volunteers)
• Maintain an up to date knowledge of relevant and recognised best practice guidelines, policy requirements, employment law and quality standards in relation to volunteering input and management
• Co-ordinate specific client well-being events on a regular basis, engaging volunteers and other staff to support event development, organisation and delivery
• Maintain written accurate records on volunteer details and activity and other information as required, providing written and verbal reports as required

 

5. Additional duties relating to post (10%)

• Deliver and arrange access to training for team colleagues in relation to the above, where required
• With the CEO ensure that volunteers operate at all times within the principles of impartiality and confidentiality, in accordance with SHARe Knowsley’s vision, values, principles, policies and procedures
• Engage in relevant external meetings/ networks/ forums as agreed with the line manager

6. For SHARe Knowsley (10%)

• Actively participate in supervision and appraisal, review and planning sessions, team meetings, working groups and staff conferences and other meetings
• Carry out administrative duties associated with the post as required
• Work within SHARe Knowsley’s policies, procedures, guidelines and other agreed documents

Having recently transitioned our financial system to Unit4 ERPx, you will play a vital role in optimising our finance systems, ensuring strong internal controls, and providing support to colleagues across the organisation.

In this high-profile position, you will serve as the in-house Unit4 super-user and subject matter expert, ensuring that the system delivers maximum value to the Finance team and the wider organisation. About you
You will bring strong expertise in finance systems, with the ability to translate technical functionality into solutions that align with organisational goals. - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with at least 5 years of system accounting experience.

About The Role
Do you have ability to build positive relationships and identify new fundraising opportunities? Would you like the opportunity to make a difference for people affected by dementia, by engaging with supporters across the South of Northern Ireland?

We are recruiting for a Regional Fundraiser covering the South of Northern Ireland to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week on a fixed-term contract until September 2026. This role is homebased but will require you to travel across the South of Northern Ireland with the aim of growing income across the region to exceed fundraising targets.

As Regional Fundraiser, you will be the main contact for regional fundraising within this geographical area, you will represent and promote the work, vision, and purpose of the Society locally, whilst also promoting and supporting the wider work of the Regional Engagement team. Essentially, you’ll be the ‘fundraising face’ of the Alzheimer’s Society engaging and inspiring your supporters to raise funds and awareness for us.

You’ll be building mutually beneficial relationships across the core counties in your area including, Bangor, Lisburn, Portadown, Armagh, Newry, Newcastle, Downpatrick and the outskirts of Belfast. You’ll work collaboratively with others to provide exceptional stewardship for our supporters, whilst remaining adaptable and ready to focus on other areas where funds are also raised.

This might mean you’re helping to attract new supporters from different places or taking care of existing supporters across various income streams in other areas. We will seek to maximise your skills effectively in your core counties, while also making sure they benefit the wider region's needs, enabling you to make a big contribution to fundraising for people affected by dementia.

Interviews for this role have been provisionally scheduled to take place (via MS Teams) on Wednesday 8th and Thursday 9th October.

About you
Joining us, you will have experience in relationship community fundraising or similar transferrable skills such as the ability to build rapport, communicate effectively and use emotional intelligence when engaging with others. You’ll have experience of delivering excellent customer service, account managing or supporter stewardship, ensuring that people you work with feel valued and appreciated.

Crucially, you’ll be able to identify and establish new opportunities with a good understanding of budgeting and financial management combined with the ability to analyse data and information to make informed decisions.

This is an exciting role which will require you to travel across the geographical area of South Northern Ireland, therefore you’ll need to be able to work remotely and independently with a full driving licence and access to a car. Ultimately, this role will enable you to connect with others and build and develop your relationship fundraising and sector experience in a major national charity.

What you’ll focus on:

- Working proactively to identify and deliver new fundraising opportunities within the South of Northern Ireland, through pipelining and winning new income from Corporate, Groups and Associations, Individuals and Third-party activities to maximise income streams.
- Relationship building, providing exceptional stewardship to build relationships that boost retention and lifetime value for our supporters.
- Acquisition and pipelining, driving new business income (from prospecting through to pitch development and delivery) and achieving financial targets.
- Recruiting and managing volunteers in line with the activity plan.
- Working with a budget to manage and deliver income, providing detailed commentary and insights to the line manager on variances, capacity and trends at regular intervals agreed.
- Maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and identifying cross-departmental opportunities where appropriate by working collaboratively.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Cancer Insight and working closely with both internal colleagues and external partners, you will play a key role in identifying emerging strategic opportunities. You will oversee a portfolio of initiatives that support the charity’s mission and objectives, guiding each project from early concept through to final delivery. For initiatives that demonstrate successful outcomes, you will be responsible for generating robust evidence to support their progression into broader research programmes or service implementation.

Specifically, you will:

Insight and Innovation

· Work closely with other teams in the charity, as well as external partners, to make use of identified gaps in knowledge or service provision and propose innovative solutions.

· Support horizon scanning of sources of information such as academic literature, policy recommendations and clinical trial portfolios to identify emerging trends and opportunities for cancer research, one-off projects and new services, with a focus on issues affecting Yorkshire.

· Identify potential opportunities for collaboration with external partners with shared strategic ambitions.

Strategic focus and prioritisation

· Support the development of a strategic development plan that defines goals in the short, medium, and long-term.

· Work with the wider Cancer Insight Team to present the potential future impact of projects and provide information to support strategic prioritisation via a new strategic prioritisation framework.

Project Management

· Manage the design, planning, and execution of new strategic projects aligned with the charity’s overall strategic goals and objectives.

· Develop clear project scopes, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.

· Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

Stakeholder Engagement

· Build and maintain effective relationships with internal teams and external organisations. This may include, but is not limited to, academic partners, NHS stakeholders, private sector service providers, pharmaceutical industry partners and other external organisations such as other health organisations, funding bodies and charities.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• To have a degree in a relevant subject such as public health, health sciences, biomedical sciences, health policy, or a related field.
• To have a proven track record of delivering strategic or innovation projects in a healthcare, research or charity setting is essential.
• To have experience in identifying new opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• To have experience of taking projects from concept development, through set-up, delivery and completion.
• To have experience managing budgets and external contracts.

AFK is a national charity creating opportunities for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse, to increase their independence, reach their individual potential and remove the barriers they face. Our vision is a world where there are no barriers to independence for children and young people who are disabled or neurodiverse. As part of this we provide bespoke employment skills training and organise work experience across North London.  

At a national level, we provide mobility equipment not available on the NHS for disabled children and young people up to the age of 25.

Overall Job Purpose

As part of the Service Delivery Team, you will take operational responsibility for managing and developing the delivery of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) training programmes. You will ensure that corporate and charitable organisations are equipped with practical tools to build inclusive workplace cultures and create accessible career opportunities for young people with additional needs.

In this hands-on role, you will coordinate consultancy projects from start to finish - overseeing scheduling, delivery, marketing, and evaluation - to maintain high standards and meet income targets. Your work will directly support AFK’s mission to create a fairer, more equitable society for people with additional needs.

You will work closely with AFK’s Co-Facilitators - each bringing valuable lived experience - to ensure all EDI training is authentic, relevant, and informed by their expertise.

Working Conditions

The post is 35 hours a week, normally 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be expected to work some evenings and weekends as required by the job.

28 days annual leave will be given in addition to public holidays.

Working Relationships

Provide direct line management to EDI Facilitators and Co-Facilitators.

Principal Responsibilities

Service Development

· Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Director of Services to identify and develop new opportunities for chargeable training services.

· Hold overall management responsibility for the EDI Programme, including its team of Facilitators and Co-Facilitators.

· Advance the organisation’s co-production target by working with the youth leadership group, and with other Service Delivery Managers.

· Lead the ongoing development of AFK’s training offer, ensuring a diverse range of services that promote workplace inclusion and equity for people with additional needs.

Business Development

· Collaborate with the CEO, Executive Director of Services and Fundraising Team to identify marketing opportunities for AFK services supporting voluntary and community groups.

· Ensure all training and consultancy is delivered to the highest standards, reflecting best practice and compliance with current legislation and regulations.

· Work closely with employers and Service Delivery colleagues to create meaningful opportunities for young people with additional needs to gain experience, develop skills, and pursue their aspirations.

· Proactively identify and apply for commissioned opportunities with London local authorities.

Who we are looking for

• An experienced senior manager with degree (or degree-equivalent qualification).

• Experience of organisational leadership within a financially accountable organisation, whether in the charitable, public, or private sector.

• Proven commercial strategy / business experience, with the ability to generate and manage diverse income streams, including through partnerships, grants, trading, or other business related activities.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join the Refugee Migrant Centre as a Senior Casework Administrator authorised by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA), formerly known as OISC.

RMC is a well-established, award-winning regional charity, widely recognised for its impactful work with refugees and migrants.

For over 25 years, RMC has assisted thousands of refugees and migrants from 162 countries, helping to break down barriers to integration and enabling clients to become

equal citizens. We provide a holistic range of services, from specialist legal advice to education and employment programs.

The successful candidate will join RMC’s Immigration department and play a key role in supporting our qualified Caseworkers in delivering immigration advice and conducting casework within the IAA framework.

RMC is regulated by the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) and is accredited to provide free immigration advice up to Level 3, covering cases from initial advice through to the First-tier Tribunal and Upper Tribunal.

Our immigration services focus on assisting migrants (including undocumented migrants), refugees, and asylum-seekers in navigating the UK’s complex immigration legal system. We help clients secure the right to remain in the UK for themselves and their families, with a particular emphasis on human rights claims, family and private life applications, family reunion, settlement, citizenship, and applications under the EU Settlement Scheme.

Purpose of the Role:

Main duties and responsibilities

· Provide administrative support to Caseworkers across all our offices during their conduct of their immigration cases (including supporting with the intake of client information, preparing documents, handling further evidence requests and maintain case files up to date)

· Contact clients and arrange appointments as required

· Draft routine correspondence under supervision (e.g. case notes, closing letters, emails)

· Ensure accurate information is recorded in our case management system and that all case files are up-to-date

· Track deadlines and ensure applications and documents are submitted in time

· Delegate administrative tasks and supervise Legal Assistant (Placement) students

· Work with the Immigration Department Manager and the Quality Assurance Officer to ensure adherence to quality standards and IAA requirements

· Maintain confidentiality

· Work in compliance with the IAA regulatory framework and the Code of Standards as well as GDPR requirements

· Provide general administrative support to the Casework Team, including scanning, filing, and document management.

About The Role
As a Dementia Adviser, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide support, information, and guidance to people with dementia and their carers; helping to maintain their independence, improving their sense of well-being, and putting them in more control of their lives. The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs.
In this community and home based role from the Lancaster and Morecambe area, you will offer support to your clients by phone, letter, email and in person home visits. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals. 
You will work closely with the NHS Memory Assessment Service in Lancaster and in the wider Bay and North Lancashire area when required, to offer support to people following a dementia diagnosis.

- Ability to support people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of well-being, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborating with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Teams / Zoom).
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team.
- Confident in public speaking and talking about dementia with the potential to eventually run Carers Information Programmes.

What you’ll focus on:

- Supporting people affected by dementia, families and carers to access vital services.
- Attending diagnostic clinics run by the Memory Assessment Service
- Networking within the Lancaster and Morecambe area and becoming familiar with existing support groups and networks.
- Improving people’s sense of well-being, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
- Assisting with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Promoting our amazing service and building relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.
- Running Carer Information Programmes as required.

About the Youth Endowment Fund

We’re here to prevent children and young people becoming involved in violence. We do this by finding out what works and building a movement to put this knowledge into practice.

Last year, 244 people in England and Wales tragically died after being assaulted with a knife. Of these, 32 were children. Every child captured in these numbers is an important member of our community and society has a duty to protect them. Even when violence doesn’t strike directly, we know that the fear of violence has a terrible effect on children’s lives.

The Youth Endowment Fund exists to try and permanently change things. To succeed, we must build an exceptional body of knowledge about violence affecting young people and how we reduce it. This knowledge has to be both rigorous and highly relevant to those making decisions about how to support vulnerable young people. We need to find out what works and what doesn’t through evidence synthesis, data analysis and qualitative research into children’s lives. We need to convert this into highly accessible content on what works, how delivery organisations need to change their practice and how the systems they operate in need to be reformed. We then need to work with the right people that can make change happen, across systems, policies and practice, to have a real impact on reducing violence affecting children’s lives.

We can’t do this alone, we have to build and maintain brilliant partnerships across government, with other funders and with wider society. We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead on this work. We also need to have an eye for the future. Our present endowment must be spent down by April 2029. We need someone who can lead on planning for the future.

Key responsibilities

You ensure that we:

· Are ready for the future: Born with a ten-year endowment, the YEF has become the leading authoritative voice on how to reduce violence affecting children. We must spend down this endowment by April 2029, so need to start thinking about after this date. You will lead on ensuring we have a great plan for post 2029. You will spot the best opportunities, assess them and, over time, take them. This includes both building great external relationships and also ensuring there’s a clearly articulated, inspiring narrative – filled with facts, examples and case studies - of what has been delivered to date and what needs to happen between 2029 and 2039 to double down on our mission. To do this, you will orchestrate the expertise and knowledge of colleagues across the organisation – ensuring that what you need comes together perfectly.

· Build and maintain great relationships across government: We have an increasingly large number of relationships across government – providing advice and support on what works to prevent violence. You will be ready to offer advice to colleagues on those relationships where needed. You will build new relationships and maintain them where they are needed so we are ready for the future. You will be really well organised too ensuring that internal colleagues know which relationships they own and making sure that key regular meetings are in place. We have a simple process that tracks these relationships; you will make this process work well for us – with minimum bureaucracy and maximum effectiveness. You will also provide help and advice and coaching as YEF colleagues think through how best to get system changes to happen that will ultimately reduce violence.

· Build great relationships with other organisations that will be key to the future: As the lead organisation on reducing violence affecting young people, we increasingly receive and see a host of opportunities to partner with other organisations including funders on projects, co-funding and research. You will support this work – leading on relationships that are essential in making us ready for the future. You will spot the opportunity, build relationships, bring in other YEF colleagues, pull together key information, write brilliant documents where needed, win others over. In short, you will make great things happen.

As a senior member of staff in the organisation you also:

• Lead on culture: Build and maintain a culture where it is natural to perform well and support colleagues brilliantly.
• Deliver on strategy: Contribute to setting the strategy, delivering results, and building and modelling the culture that we need to succeed.

 

About you

You are this sort of person:

You are quick at really understanding something so you can make good decisions quite fast. You put plans together and make them happen. You understand that there is no such thing as ‘the department’s position’ (instead there are different views competing) and that while some decisions are very rational, some are more about personalities and politics. You find the process of how decisions get made within government departments, and with Number 10 and the Treasury, fascinating.

· You are fantastic at spotting how to get something done in Whitehall or Westminster. You are really good at thinking about how to make change happen. To some, Westminster and Whitehall can seem like a blob but you are brilliant at spotting how to make change happen there. You can think through the intricacies of who to get onside, who to get advice from, who to persuade and how to get the job done. You have a track record of doing this.

· You write really well. The idea of writing one or two pivotally important longer documents (30-40 pages) for the organisation that makes the case for something and pulls in content from lots of colleagues, synthesising and making it all fit together sounds interesting. You know – from experience – that you would be good at it.

· You win people over. People tend to warm to you and respect you. You easily build good relationships with both very senior and very junior people. You can be at ease talking to a senior politician or a 15 year old. It is important to you to be humble. You acknowledge how much you don't know as well as how much you do.

· You are great at building lasting partnerships with other organisations. You have experience of building partnerships or collaborations with other organisations, winning them over, doing conflict well when you need to, communicating clearly so that the work gets done and people feel as good as possible about it.

You enjoy coaching other people so that they perform excellently in a meeting. You are not possessive of your contacts. You don’t care who gets the credit as long as things get done. Secondments

We are open to candidates that would prefer to join us on a 2-year secondment or career break. Hybrid Working Details

The office is based in Central London. Those living in and around London are expected to be in the office for a minimum of 2 days per week. If you live outside of London and work remotely, you’ll be expected to work from the London office 2 days per month.
