*This role sits within a pay grade with a pay range of £25,601 to £32,089. Context and purpose of role
At the Ramblers, we are committed to providing our supporters with the very best experience possible, placing the Member and Supporter Experience Team at the heart of our operations. The team acts as the first line of support for members and supporters, responding to enquiries, managing interactions, and deepening engagement with the Ramblers.
This role is instrumental in ensuring a seamless supporter journey, helping to attract, welcome, and retain supporters while providing valuable insights to the organisation to improve supporter experiences. As an ambassador for supporters, the role also contributes to the organisation’s ability to deliver its charitable mission.
Key responsibilities
Supporter Engagement
- Respond to supporter enquiries via phone, letter, email and social media in a timely and professional manner, and with professionalism, empathy and attention to detail.
- Triage enquiries, referring complaints, safeguarding and safety matters to the specialists in the organisation and escalating other enquiries as needed to subject-matter experts.
- Listen and respond to the needs of each supporter, understanding their motivations and experiences to foster long-term relationships.
- Acknowledge and thank donations and other payments in a timely and personalised manner.
Payment processing
- Handle and manage the Direct Debit cycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely processing with support from colleagues and finance.
- Provide monthly KPIs related to Direct Debits to Head of Member and Supporter Experience.
- Process and manage in-bound financial payments in an accurate and timely manner, managing any reconciliation as required.
- Investigate and resolve any payment issues, liaising with supporters and the payment processor as needed.
- Support our auditors and finance team on any reconciliation or financial enquiries.
Data integrity and CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints in the CRM system in accordance with data protection and Gift Aid Legislation.
- Share key supporter data and insights within the organisation to elevate the supporter voice.
- Support key supporter administration tasks (e.g. welcome pack data send)
Problem-solving and complaints handling
- Investigate and resolve low-level issues or complaints, liaising with other colleagues as required and keep supporters informed throughout the process.
- Handle complex technical enquiries related to our digital tools such as app, website, insight hub.
- Manage feedback and complaints, following established procedure with a focus on turning negative experiences into positive ones.
Volunteer support
- Provide training and support to key volunteers, such as Membership Secretaries, helping them to attract, welcome and retain members.
- Provide support to office volunteers, ensuring they feel values and supported to carry out their tasks effectively.
Continuous improvement
- Input into new digital development to ensure supporters receive value, and to minimise pain points
Other
- Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of the post.
- Engage and proactively develop excellent working relationships across the organisation.

Location: Though this is a predominantly home-based role, you will get lots of opportunities to get out and about to produce content with our incredible storytellers, supporters, volunteers, and staff. About you
Can you stop people from scrolling on social media?
- We’re looking for a self-motivated, proactive individual with a passion for social media and experience working across accounts with high volumes of user engagement. You’ll know how to create channel and audience-specific content that maximises user engagement and have a talent for spotting trends and opportunities to ensure we stand out from the crowd.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing active social media communities and understand the value of nurturing online audiences through considered community management approaches.
- You will be confident creating a range of impactful visual assets (graphics, video, photo), and really understand how to get the best results in each placement. This role will lead the delivery of the Trase communication strategy over the next 5 year strategic period.
Working as part of the Impact team within Trase, alongside those engaging directly with companies, governments and financial institutions, you will lead a small team to deliver strategic communications - press, media, content production, events, social media, promotion and publicity, including outreach to multipliers and amplifiers.
You will drive communications to support the engagement work of the Trase team, making tactical choices to best deliver the overall mission of the initiative.

This busy and dynamic service based in Retford provides support to encourage young people to be the best version of themselves. Their Retford project offers a strengths based support service which aims to build the skills, confidence and independence of the young people who come through our doors
The team play a critical role in advocating for their tenants. From liaising with agencies to help them access permanent accommodation to supporting them to access education or employment training.
The Support Worker role
Every day is different and you will face many new challenges so they need colleagues that come with a built in can-do attitude! You must be willing to go above and beyond for young people help better their lives, promoting independence, being a role model and achieving a successful home environment for them to live, in line with local authority care plan.
This isn’t a typical support worker position. Communication and understanding is key to help grow and mentor our young people. This role heavily requires you to listen and communicate with the young people, so a good understanding of written and verbal English is a must.
What you’ll be doing
Even as an adult the housing market can be tough to navigate and with so much information out there you will be a young person’s advocate and guidance. You could be helping young people complete the appropriate referrals forms for housing, coordinating referrals or arranging and attending referral interviews. Alternatively you could mediate between young people and their families to facilitate moves back home. You will be highly motivated and resilient but also patient and kind. Change can be scary but you will have a positive attitude to encourage our young people.
Then comes the big move…
With your knowledge of welfare benefits you’ll help users to access grants/ charitable funding for white goods or other furnishings.
As well as this, you will be on the ball with activities related to the young person’s move e.g. arranging and facilitating pre move in meetings, joining the property inspection, liaising with the landlord where appropriate to negotiate move-in dates. You will also develop a system that matches young people across the contracted provision to facilitate house shares.
To be considered you must have a full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle. You will be able to claim mileage proving you have business cover on your insurance.
They work 7 days a week, 365 days a year. You must be able to be flexible and work on a rota. Typical shift patterns are 07:00 – 14:30 and 14:30 – 22:00.

You will be working in a team based in either one of their Children's Homes supporting up to 4 children with Autistic Spectrum Condition, learning disability and/or complex health needs

Contracts
They offer a range of contract types.
Full Time - Average 37 hours per week (with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts). Working hours will be averaged out over a three week rolling period and will include both weekday and weekend shifts arranged by managers. Sleep in shifts will also be required on a rota basis for which an additional flat rate payment is made.
Weekend - 16, 21.5 or 29 hours per week (with the opportunity to pick up additional shifts). Weekend contracts can be worked between Friday night and Sunday night. Occasional sleep in shifts may be required.
Training
Staff will receive all the training they require to fulfil their role. Training takes place during weekdays and staff must be available to attend introductory mandatory training and refresher training as required. Training dates are issued in advance.
NVQs – staff who do not have an equivalent or higher qualification are required to complete a relevant NVQ qualification within two years of commencing employment. This is paid for by them and full support to complete the qualification is given.

About Young Persons Sanctuary
Our Young Person’s Sanctuarys offer a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental environment outside of normal school hours for those aged 14 – 18 who feel in mental distress or crisis.
About the Role
Our Young Person’s Sanctuarys' Youth Mental Health Worker role will involve assessing needs and offering one to one support to service users to enable them to begin the process of improving their mental health and wellbeing and to providing clarity on services and pathways available in the area. The role will be part of a larger Young Persons Sanctuary team made up of YPS Youth Mental Health Workers, YPS Manager and volunteers.
Service Delivery
- Deliver crisis focussed 1:1s and ensure outcomes which supports young people experiencing a mental health crisis in Milton Keynes, in line with Mind BLMK’s agreed crisis service and requirements as well as contract requirements.
- Assessing need and suitability for the service in line with the access to services process and undertaking 1:1s.
- Contribute to maintaining an effective volunteer workforce for the service in line with Mind BLMK’s HR policies, procedures and guidance (workload planning and support).
- Carry out Cash Handling, Health and Safety and Data Collection responsibilities as directed by the Team Leader in line with Mind BLMK’s policies, procedures, requirements and guidance.
- Attendance to mandatory reflective practice is required for this role. It occurs once every six weeks for one and a half hours.

The Role

About You
You will have experience/understanding of:
- Working in partnership with other organisations, including in health and voluntary sector
- Working with and supporting a wide range of stakeholders
- Developing support using co-production with service users
- Supporting groups and developing networks
- Addressing health inequalities and championing diversity, accessibility and inclusion.
This role requires frequent travel across the London geographical region. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role.

The organisation is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families. Providing tailored support to tens of thousands of stroke survivors each year. This support includes one-to-one and group support, funding vital scientific research into stroke prevention, acute treatment, recovery and long-term care, and campaigning to secure the best care for everyone affected by stroke.
