Job description

£37,500 per year, 35 hours a week Mon-Fri, permanent, based in SE22 Southwark London.

Minimum 3 days a week office/community based.

As Service Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring older people access high-quality, person-centred support. You will coordinate and deliver services, build relationships with partners, referrers and volunteers, and help shape new projects that improve wellbeing and reduce isolation across the community.

Responsibilities include:

· Coordinating our Information and Support service.

· Line managing the Information and Support Facilitators.

· Being the operational point of contact for the Ageing Well Southwark contract.

· Managing and developing projects.

· Coordinating befriending, groups and social events.

We value personal and professional experience, and this role could suit somebody with a background or interest in community development, social prescribing, health and social services, advice services or any number of related areas.

Essential requirements include:

· Substantial experience (typically gained over three years or more) of working directly with people who require support.

· Knowledge of the challenges older people experience and the social care environment.

· Ability to support and line manage specialists delivering an information service.
