About the role

Do you live in Edinburgh or the surrounding area?

As a senior community fundraiser, you’ll be an important part of the team building Breast Cancer Now’s presence in Scotland, with a particular focus on Edinburgh and the surrounding areas. 

We’re looking for someone who is an experienced relationship builder, someone who can find and develop new supporters.  You’ll need excellent local knowledge, and the enthusiasm to develop a brand-new fundraising region.

The successful candidate will also be part of the team working on our large-scale project supporting and growing Asda Tickled Pink, our award-winning partnership with Asda and CoppaFeel! which has already raised over £100 million.

You’ll work directly with passionate colleagues across Asda stores in your region driving new fundraising initiatives, inspiring communities and celebrating incredible successes.

No 2 days will look the same as you travel, connect and engage supporters to help us grow income to deliver our mission.

The role is initially offered as an 18-month contract with the potential to become permanent

About you

You’re confident in approaching new contacts and are experienced in developing new relationships from scratch. This may currently be in a customer service, account management or stewardship role.

You’re experienced in managing and building new and established relationships with a focus on retention and income growth.

You’re enthusiastic, proactive, organised and unafraid to test and try new ideas.

You’re required to be involved being out and about in the community that you’re building, so you must be able to work independently outside of the office in varying locations and enjoy being busy.

Previous experience working in a charity is not required.

Primary location of role

This is a remote role, and the candidate will need to be based in the Edinburgh area with unlimited access to their own car. Regular travel will be required to meet supporters and visit Asda stores in your region, as well as occasional travel to our London, Sheffield or Glasgow office.

Robes is a small but mighty charity tackling homelessness across Southwark and Lambeth. Working with over 600 volunteers, churches and community partners, we deliver life-changing services to vulnerable people on the streets.

In winter, we run emergency night shelters. Year-round, our Wednesday Club offers hot meals, showers and support. We provide up to six months of floating support to help guests secure sustainable accommodation and find employment or training.

About You

The Role

You'll lead fundraising strategy across multiple income streams, focusing on trusts, foundations, corporate partnerships and major donors. You'll manage the full fundraising cycle from research and relationship-building through stewardship.

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you’ll execute our new fundraising strategy, support our growth plans, research funding opportunities, write strong grant applications, manage a pipeline of major donor prospects, plan our 20th anniversary campaign, and provide quarterly progress reports.

With three days a week focused on foundation and corporate partnerships work, a full-time role would typically include one day on legacy work and one day on community events.

You bring at least three years' fundraising experience, ideally in a charity setting. You're skilled at grant writing, relationship management and strategic planning. The charity is rapidly scaling up, recently doubling its annual support to £6 million. Degrees has partnered with leading climate change funders and research partners including the Quadrature Climate Foundation, Open Philanthropy, Crankstart, Navigation Fund, Outlier Projects, LAD Climate Fund and UK Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA). Transparency of funding is essential to our work. We do not accept support from anonymous donors or funding from the fossil fuel industry. Fundraising for the organisation has been led by the Founder and CEO, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chief of Staff, and the Chair of the Trustees with the support of an experienced Senior Philanthropy Advisor.

We now seek a full-time team member to build on this base. Reporting to the COO, and working closely with senior staff and the Chair, the Development Manager will support high‑performing fundraising that secures multi‑year, diversified funding. He / she will also introduce robust processes for pipeline management and donor stewardship and manage the complete donor lifecycle (from identification to cultivation to solicitation and stewardship) of a portfolio of top prospects. The post holder will receive initial onboarding support from the Senior Philanthropy Advisor. As fundraising grows, the team may expand in the future.

The Role

We are a leading accountancy practice with a department specialising in delivering tailored financial services to the not-for-profit sector. Our clients include charities, social enterprises, and other nonprofit organisations dedicated to making a positive impact. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Management Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in providing exceptional service to our clients while contributing to the growth and development of the firm.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the not-for-profit sector and wishes to support numerous organisations through their financial knowledge and experience.

Role Objectives

Technical Expertise:

• Prepare accurate and timely management accounts, including income and expenditure, balance sheets, cashflow reports and fund tracking.
• Advise on financial systems and policies, with the skills to implement any agreed changes.
• Act as a finance business partner to operational teams, providing financial guidance.
• Assist with internal and external audits, preparing schedules and responding to queries.
• Prepare and submit VAT Returns, often under Partial Exemption scheme.

Client Management:

• Oversee a portfolio of clients in the not-for-profit sector, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their financial and compliance needs.
• Review and interpret financial information to provide insights and recommendations to clients.

 Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required

• Proven experience in a similar role and will consider candidates that have worked previously within an accountancy practice or within a not-for-profit organisation.
• Must have strong knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector, including Charities SORP.
• ACA/ACCA qualified or working towards a qualification is highly desirable.
• Experience working with Xero and Excel is highly desirable.

About this job

Gifts in wills fund nearly half of the MS Society’s work - and we need a senior legacy officer to help deliver our ambitious plans to grow this vital income stream. In this key role, you’ll lead the delivery of legacy marketing campaigns across digital, direct mail and other channels, create compelling content to inspire gifts in wills, and take charge of in-person events to engage supporters and pledgers. You’ll also manage relationships with external partners and suppliers, ensuring every activity reflects professionalism and empathy.

We’re looking for someone with experience of gifts in wills fundraising who can confidently lead projects, communicate effectively, and bring creativity to campaign delivery.

Dancers’ Career Development (DCD), the national charity that enables and empowers dancers to thrive professionally and personally leading up to and beyond their performance careers, seek a General Manager.

We are seeking an exceptional administrator who has experience in, or is interested in further developing, a broad knowledge of company management.

The main purpose of the General Manager role is to support the Executive Director, with the day-to-day operational management and administration of DCD.

The role will ideally suit a personable individual who enjoys varied responsibilities, working collaboratively within a highly productive, agile and supportive team.
