About Long Covid SOS:
Long Covid SOS (LCSOS) is a charity set up for the advancement of health and relief of need among people with Long Covid.
“Long Covid” means post-acute Covid-19 syndrome, where symptoms and/or long-term complications occur beyond four weeks from initial infection or symptoms onset to include any post viral illness with a suspected or evidenced link to Covid-19.
LCSOS aims to raise awareness of Long Covid, its treatment, recovery and rehabilitation among health policymakers, healthcare providers and the general public.
To do this we advocate for and make it known to healthcare providers, health policymakers and other relevant policy makers the views and lived experience of members of the general public suffering from or affected by Long Covid. We also support research into the causes, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of Long Covid, and publish results of such research.
Main duties and responsibilities of the Treasurer:
· Advising the Board about its financial duties and responsibilities
· Advising the Board on the approval of budgets, accounts and financial statements
· Advising on the financial implications of LCSOS strategic plans and key assumptions in the annual budget
· Ensuring that all Board members have a clear understanding of the accounts presented at meetings and their implications
· Understanding the accounting procedures and key internal controls to be able to assure the board that the charity’s financial integrity is sound
· Ensuring that a realistic budget is produced which meets the needs of LCSOS and that there is an appropriate reserves policy
· Approving and, where appropriate, advising the Board on unbudgeted expenditure proposals in accordance with LCSOS financial procedures
· Ensuring that full financial records are kept for all transactions
· Ensuring that proper financial procedures and controls are in place to safeguard LCSOS
· Ensuring that money received is only spent on the purposes for which I was given, and, where required, ensuring that reports and accounts demonstrating this are submitted to funders
· Ensuring that accounts are prepared at year-end in compliance with the Charities SORP (FRS102) and making arrangements for them to be audited or independently examined, as required by the Charity Commission
· Ensuring that annual accounts are submitted to the Charity Commission and/or Registrar of Companies, within the deadlines set
· Liaising with the Chair about financial matters
· Advising the Board on identifying and managing key risks effectively, and maintaining LCSOS’s risk register
· Leading on selecting and implementing a suitable financial accounting system

Other Information:
· The Treasurer is a full member of the Trustee Board

Rekindle is based in Powys and helps young people aged 16 to 25. Rekindle is all about recovery, the recovery of mental health, the recovery of opportunity and the recovery of a fulfilled life. There are around 100 clients at any one time with 40 having acute needs. This age group often falls between statutory services and can suffer acute symptoms of distress.
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to join our friendly and committed board. You support will help us to grow our mental health support for young people.
About the Role
As well as fulfilling the duties of a Trustee, the Treasurer maintains an overview of the organisations financial affairs. The Treasurer ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls and procedures are put in place and reports to the Board at regular intervals about the financial health of the organisation. The Treasurer will oversee and lead on our plans to set up a robust system for forecasting with a view to diversifying income.
The time commitment for this role is estimated to be 1-2 days a month (12 hours).

Purpose of the role:
The overall aim of the Trustee role is to provide strong leadership, direction and expertise to the governance of the CoSRH.
The Board of Trustees (‘the Board’) is the body with the legal duty to protect the mission and vision of the CoSRH and to ensure that it is run in accordance with legal requirements.
The role of the Board is to provide good governance and leadership by:

Treasurer
- Chair the Finance, Risk and Investment Committee (FR&IC) and lead the committee as follows:
- To review progress of financial elements of the strategy and make recommendations thereon to the Board of Trustees.
- To review/consider the strategic plan in context of financial and budgetary impact.
- To review the annual budget along with any constituent elements including membership pricing and make recommendations to the trustees.
- To agree specific expenditure beyond that in the approved budget of up to £125k.
- To make a virement of budgets of up to £125k
- To keep under review through regular reports the delivery of approved capital projects both from the capital investment as well as the actual compared to the projected returns.
- Advise Remuneration Committee on the affordability of any changes to pay and or benefits.
- To review the CoSRH Board Assurance Framework including mitigations, consider the total risks being carried in light of the risk appetite and undertake regular reviews of the risks by rotation.
- To receive reports at each meeting on financial performance and report as required to the Trustees
- To review the draft annual accounts along with the audit report, ensure they are prepared in accordance with relevant accounting standards and Charity Commission guidance and recommend their approval to the Trustees
- To recommend appointment of CoSRH’s external auditors to Trustees and to keep under review the performance of the auditors.
- To review the external auditors’ planning document, their annual findings, report and recommend any required improvements to financial processes.
- To monitor and review the CoSRH’s pension schemes and make recommendations for change when appropriate.
- To review and approve new Business Cases and oversee delivery of benefits,
- To consider changes to the reserves policy and make appropriate recommendations to the Board.
- To keep under review CoSRH’s Investment Policy including compliance with the ethical investment policy and update as necessary.
- To agree and review the Trustee’s attitude to financial risk and the asset allocation strategy.
- To review at each meeting the performance of CoSRH’s portfolio of investments and to receive regular reports from the Investment Managers.
- To consider changes to investment strategy and make appropriate recommendations to the Board.
- To propose the appointment of external investment managers for CoSRH, if appropriate, and to manage their performance.
- To ensure that all transfers of investment funds between managers are properly authorised by the Board.
- To report to the Board of Trustees on the performance of the investments.
Main duties and responsibilities of a Trustee
Board members are required to:
- Ensure that the highest standards of corporate governance are observed at all times
- Establish the overall strategic direction and governance of the CoSRH
- Approve the budget and business plan for the CoSRH including the costs of Council and its committees
- Ensure the effective, efficient and appropriate use of resources available to the CoSRH
- Oversee the delivery of planned results by monitoring and reviewing performance against agreed strategic objectives and targets
- Ensure that the CoSRH operates within the limits of its objectives and authority
- Ensure that the CoSRH is accountable to key stakeholders within and outside the health sector
- Ensure that the CoSRH undertakes its work with due regard to equality and diversity issues

We are seeking a volunteer Trustee and Treasurer to help us manage the iconic Winterbourne Medieval Barn. You will join an experienced Board of Trustees who have developed activites to create a successful Community and Heritage Centre.

Overview:
Established in 2019 and supporting a community of over 30,000 families ARFID Awareness UK is the only registered UK charity dedicated to raising awareness and further information about Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. As a not-for-profit, we work to provide individuals, parents, carers and medical professionals with up-to-date relevant information, research and support.
We are equally committed to supporting medical professionals across varying specialities, by equipping them with the information they need to ensure that their patients receive an early diagnosis and have access to appropriate care.
Our charitable aims are to:
- Raising awareness about the condition within the medical and associated professions and the general public in such ways as the trustees shall determine;
- Providing advice and information in such ways as the trustees shall determine to enable and empower parents and carers to advocate for the children in their care;
- Facilitating research into the condition, the useful results of which will be published for the public benefit;

With regards to our structure, we are a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO). Time commitment:
Trustees meet twice a year virtually. Meetings last approximately 2 hours.

Purpose of the role:
Trustee (general)
The overall aim of the trustee role is to provide strong leadership, direction and expertise to the governance of ARFID Awareness UK.
The Board of trustees (‘the Board’) is the body with the legal duty to protect the mission and vision of the FSRH and to ensure that it is run in accordance with legal requirements.
The role of the Board is to provide good governance and leadership by:
- Shaping ARFID Awareness UK’s organisational strategy

Trustees play a vital role in ensuring Middlewich and District Foodbank meets its core purpose by overseeing the management and administration of the charity and ensuring that the foodbank has a clear strategy in line with our vision and goals.
What will you be doing?
As a trustee you will share collective responsibility for the governance of the food bank and all decisions made by the board, ensuring the organisation is well run, fulfils its mission, is compliant with charity law and that the charity is open and accountable. It is also the responsibility of the treasurer to work in partnership with the chairperson and other trustees to ensure the financial viability and development of the organisation.
Key tasks
Trustee (Fundraising & Grants Lead) responsibilities:
- to work alongside the Finance Committee, treasurer and the rest of the board to plan what level of funds are required to be generated to ensure the effective running of the charity
- to work alongside the trustee board to ensure that all grants are sought and written with the purpose of meeting the charity’s vision and objectives

- to lead on incorporating national Trussell fundraising campaigns/events into the food bank’s fundraising calendar
