We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Knowledge and Information Manager to lead our recently expanded Knowledge and Information team. In this role you will have responsibility for leading the development of our highly regarded information and resources, to support, and empower everyone affected by Crohn’s or Colitis. This includes our evidence-based online and printed publications, web content, research summaries and other information, ensuring it is relevant, and accessible to all.
You will be driving new initiatives and developing tactical plans for the team which meet our strategic objectives.
You will be a member of the charity’s Management Development Forum, providing leadership across the organisation and liaising with the Senior Leadership Team and contributing to the leadership, planning and delivery of cross-team projects.

About You
You will be skilled in the translation of complex medical and health information into engaging and accessible patient information, and have experience of working with patients and healthcare professionals to develop information resources in line with recognised standards.
You’ll be:-
- Managing the development of Crohn’s & Colitis UK’s repository of evidence about Crohn’s and Colitis.
- Experienced in appraising research and translating this for patients and the public
- Proficient in measuring the effectiveness of a promotion and dissemination and use of information
- Working with both our external and internal stakeholders.

As Communications and Fundraising Assistant, you will play a particularly prominent role in telling the story of what Charity funding makes possible at King’s – generating high quality content to communicate the difference we’re making, and helping our communications officer to bring it to life it on our digital channels. It will suit somebody who uses social media extensively in their personal life and can draw on that insight to help the team connect with our audiences.
Key Tasks
- Working with the Communications Officer to create content for websites, digital platforms, social media, email campaigns and other channels. This includes the Trust’s Inside King’s magazine as well as our own channels. It could involve interviewing staff, patients and volunteers, creating films, taking photographs.
- Organising, distributing and updating the Charity’s marketing materials around the Trust, including posters, leaflets and banners.
- Helping to maintain the Charity’s social media presence, creating and scheduling engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn, producing analytics reports and using insights to inform future strategy.
- Developing our use of Sharepoint as an internal communications channel, and maintaining the Charity’s presence on the King’s staff intranet.
- Helping the Communications Officer keep our website fresh and engaging, identifying key user journeys and supporting colleagues across the charity to use the website to achieve business goals.
- Acting as a champion for the Charity’s work by attending regular events and assist in delivering internal engagement opportunities, such as fundraising events, celebrations, and so on.
- Generating reports on the team’s KPIs across all digital platforms, helping to improve user journeys across our digital platforms.
- Keeping communications and fundraising systems running smoothly, including the media library, filing systems, budget, and planning and reporting processes.
- Building effective relationships with digital suppliers such as website agency.

Person Specification
- Experience of working or volunteering in marketing or communications in a professional environment.

Fundraising Strategist

Purpose of job:
As Senior Fundraising Strategist you’ll play an integral role in defining the fundraising strategies for cross organisational campaigns and targeted fundraising and engagement activities. Working as a senior fundraising strategist within our Campaign Strategy & Planning team, you’ll direct cross-disciplinary project teams from across all levels of the business to deliver target beating initiatives from Red Nose Day to new product development initiatives that drive new revenue streams. You’ll help establish data and insight led planning processes, ensuring strategies are well informed and robust. You’ll ensure test and learn is embedded in any project and that rigorous analysis is built into measurement and evaluation processes.
Key responsibilities:
· Work with the Head of Campaign Strategy & Planning and key colleagues across the Fundraising team, to support the development of annual fundraising and engagement plans, establishing planning; monitoring and evaluation processes for agreed activities, specifically but not limited to organisational campaigns and new income driving initiatives.
· Directly lead agreed cross-organisational multi-disciplinary project teams to robustly plan, deliver, monitor and evaluate agreed campaigns and projects.

What you do
Main purpose of post
To build a high-performing fundraising team to drive and stabilise significantly increased fundraising performance across a range of income streams. The post holder will lead the development and delivery of an ambitious and data driven fundraising strategy to successfully deliver Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
You will be instrumental in the development and delivery of a major 5 year charity appeal. The appeal will raise the funds to enable a step change in our support of Weston Park Cancer Centre and the impact we have for people affected by Cancer in our region. The appeal forms the basis of the charity’s overall 5 year fundraising strategy.
Appeal Structure & Accountability:
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
· Champion fundraising across the organisation.
· Be an inspiring ambassador for Weston Park Cancer Charity and ensure this is reflected in the strategies, outputs, and behaviour of the fundraising team.
· Actively contribute to leading Weston Park Cancer Charity as a member of the Leadership Team.
· Work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure that appropriate processes and systems are in place across the organisation, including delivery against KPIs.
· Attend and actively participate in relevant Board Committee meetings providing updates, necessary reports, and feedback on the charity’s fundraising.
· Lead cross-organisational projects in line with organisational strategy and direction.

Fundraising

Fundraising Development
· Work with the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Development, external advisor(s), commissioned agencies and the appeal committee to deliver a multi-year major fundraising appeal
· Work with the Legacy and In Memory Fundraising Manger to deliver and implement a legacy pipeline and growth in In-Memory giving income
· Work with the Individual Giving Fundraising Manager to deliver and implement a strategy which prioritises both the retention and acquisition of new donors, enhances the use of digital products, platforms, and channels and delivers the highest standard of supporter care and donor stewardship.
· Lead on the introduction of a charity lottery.
· Work with relevant colleagues to deliver a new strategy and plan which prioritises deepening and strengthening existing relationships and building a strong pipeline of new prospects to deliver multi-year funding from major donors, high profile supporters, trusts, foundations, and companies.
· Support the Data Manager with the adoption and use of Raisers Edge NXT CRM to effectively support data-driven decision making and relationship management to generate supporter insights in support of increased fundraising.
Brand and Marketing
· Working in collaboration with the Deputy CEO, Marketing Manager and external agencies in the development and delivery of an integrated marketing and communications strategy that is driven by audience insight.
· Foster a strong working relationship between the fundraising and marketing team to inspire high-performance and results-oriented marketing to build a community of supporters by delivering a seamless supporter journey that promotes the charity’s work and delivers greater income generation.
· Empower the fundraising team to successfully deploy our brand.
· Work in partnership with the Marketing Manager to ensure content is up to date, factually accurate and to manage reputational risk.·
People Management
· Create a high-performing team that is ambitious and passionate about Weston Park Cancer Charity’s vision.
· Provide line management to direct reports, setting, and monitoring individual performance objectives and motivating the team to be innovative and professional in its thinking and delivery.

Brain Tumour Research is looking for a Head of Digital to lead the development and implementation of a digital strategy that will enable Brain Tumour Research to deliver on ambitious growth targets and increase the profile of the brand. The Head of Digital will lead a digital team, work with a number of agencies and work collaboratively with all areas of Brain Tumour Research to maximise engagement and use digital tools and services to drive growth, operating efficiencies and achieve income targets.
Position: Head of Digital
Location: Head Office, Milton Keynes. We offer a hybrid working model, team members are expected to be in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
Salary: Circa £55,000 pa
Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week
Benefits: Holiday entitlement, 25 days per annum, excluding UK Public Holidays, death in service policy, access to an Employee Assistance Programme and option to join our healthcare scheme.

As Head of Digital you will lead the continued development of our website (built on Shopify) and digital channels to support our overall growth ambitions. Developing the digital roadmap and executing the digital strategy by working across the charity to maximise engagement and take-up of digital tools and services to drive growth and operating efficiencies.
About You

Do you have:
- Minimum of five years’ experience in digital strategy and operations
- Experience of budget management, managing income, including achievement of income targets
- Substantial experience of leading a team to deliver diverse, innovative and cost-effective activities
