Role Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in our Fundraising and Lottery team. As the Lottery and Promotions Lead, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing innovative Lottery and Promotions campaigns that drive engagement and sales across Lincolnshire. Your primary focus will be on increasing our income generation from Lottery and Promotions activities, adapting to the challenging economic climate.
You will work closely and collaboratively with the Head of Fundraising and Lottery to develop and implement a strategic approach to expanding our reach, reducing attrition rates, increasing income and enhancing brand awareness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion and promote Lottery and Promotions products within the organisation and throughout our Lincolnshire community and beyond to support the Charity’s Trust-wide Organisational and Income Generation Strategies for 2024-2029 in order to drive growth.
- Identify and seize business development opportunities to promote the Hospice Lottery across Lincolnshire.
- Increase sales of Lottery and Promotions products, including lottery memberships and raffles.
- Understand supporter motivations and tailor Lottery and Promotions activities to meet their needs.
- Manage an income target of circa £700, 000 across Lottery and Promotions products.
- You will be the primary contact for Lottery and Promotions advice, guidance, and support to ensure that activity is delivered to the highest standard, and levels of confidentiality and is compliant with Gambling and Charity legislation, including the Gambling Act 2005, GDPR, Fundraising Code of Practice and Gambling Commission

Qualifications and Experience:

As part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Strategic Marketing Leadership Team, the Head of Marketing Planning plays a pivotal role in planning and integrating the charity’s marketing programmes to accelerate progress towards a cure.
The Strategic Marketing directorate lead collaboration across the charity to ensure a cohesive public facing narrative and marketing plan that will drive onward customer engagement and action. We do this through growing brand awareness, delivering excellence in digital capability and marketing, providing outstanding fundraising and marketing insight, and creating a single source of truth for marketing performance. You will work alongside the Head of Brand, Head of Digital and Head of Insight and Strategic Development.
The Head of Marketing Planning is responsible for driving planning and programme excellence across our marketing teams and initiatives that will support and increase informed collaboration. This role will have ownership of key planning and operating models that allows ARUK to deliver effective marketing programmes to achieve our goals. You will be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities to improve the effectiveness of our overall marketing programme.
This is a brand new role for the charity and as such you will be expected to shape and develop the resource this function will require, assessing the current situation alongside your peers and the senior leadership team and compiling a recommendation.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Setting ourselves up for success
· Assess and prioritise the varying needs across the charity for greater marketing integration, improved planning, more consistent measurement and improved ways of working.
· Partner with fundraising, communications, campaigning, digital, brand and marketing teams to deliver a consolidated marketing plan across owned, shared, earned and paid media, championing planning principles and a collaborative approach to ensure opportunities are explored and integrated for maximum effect.
· Lead the development of an overarching, insight driven audience strategy, ensuring buy in and support. Ensure all key audiences are reflected with a clear rationale. Oversee how these audiences are being targeted and performing on an ongoing basis.
· Working with the Senior Leadership Team, Head of Brand and Head of Communications, develop a single, joined up narrative for the organisation to underpin all marketing and communications, reviewing on an annual basis.
· Develop a single source of truth for measuring marketing effectiveness, establishing common and comparable measures to enable a flexible approach to budget optimisation across all key budget holders. Ensure shared marketing performance and insight to inform future plans.
Leadership and people management
· Develop a clear resourcing plan and recruit to this brand new team. Bring in talent and ensure individuals are inspired, motivated, challenged and supported and actively embed Alzheimer’s Research UK values and leadership attributes across all activities. Champion the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
· Promote collaborative working across various marketing teams across the charity, developing a culture of one marketing team, one marketing plan.
· Lead cross functional working groups to ensure goals are met, specifically to make the most of key moments during the year and ensure ongoing best practice in planning and measurement.
· Lead and oversee ways of working with key marketing partners such as our media agency, ensuring agency roles are fully understood, agencies work effectively with each other and specifically that the media partnership is successful through routine, 2-way reviews and assessment.
Marketing optimisation
· Lead the development of propositions and plans to maximise the impact of key moments through the year; both proactive and reactive, such as World Alzheimer’s Month or new drug discoveries.
· Ensure we have the optimal balance of spend, channel and audience to drive media performance and efficiency.
· Consult with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and gaps in our marketing skillset, putting plans in place to maximise emerging opportunities, for example with the Research community and healthcare professionals.
· Play a key role in reviewing and improving ways of working across marketing activities, including but not limited to briefing processes, campaign analysis, sharing of insight and taking forward indicated actions.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and creative Fundraising Officer to build on the development and growth of income through local communities across Surrey. Using your fundraising experience and knowledge, you will research, approach and secure new partnerships as well as manage existing relationships, to drive unrestricted income for the charity. You will build on our existing Community Fundraising programme to maximise income and engagement.
Sensory Services by Sight for Surrey is a county-wide charity supporting people of all ages who are Deaf, hard of hearing, blind, partially sighted, and deafblind. We have been supporting Surrey residents for over 100 years. Our main office base is in Fetcham, near Leatherhead, and our team of staff and volunteers work out in the community across the county.
The post holder will have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to prioritise effectively and manage a busy and varied workload. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly motivated and ambitious team, and to play an integral role in growing fundraising activity across Surrey.
Job Purpose:
The post holder must have a minimum of two years fundraising experience and use their initiative, personal presence and drive to support all fundraising activity to achieve a substantial increase in unrestricted income.
Principle Accountabilities:

Main Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Working with the Chief Executive and Development and Communications Committee to set and lead on the development of NCO’s development strategy, setting fundraising targets in line with strategic objectives.
Oversee all fundraising activity and report to the Chief Executive, NCO Board and Finance Committee on progress towards income targets.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, represent the Development function to ensure full account is taken of development potential whilst contributing towards the leadership and strategic direction of NCO.
Individual Giving
Lead on re-establishing NCO’s Individual Giving programme, drawing on the potential pipeline of current stakeholders (eg parents and alumni) and delegating to/working with the Development Team in its successful delivery.
Lead on new mid/major donor giving and relationships including legacies, personally managing a portfolio of prospects and donors.
Support the Development team to lead in the delivery of NCO’s annual giving programmes, ie Friends and Patrons.
Lead on individual campaigns, working collaboratively with the Development team to maximise opportunities to engage with new supporters through events and matched funding initiatives (eg The Big Give).
Work with the Chief Executive and other senior staff to ensure the continued engagement and support of the NCO Board.
Trusts and Foundations
Lead on fundraising from Trusts & Foundations and other grant giving bodies (excluding statutory funding).
Research and cultivate existing and new funders, working with the Chief Executive, Board and the Development Team to initiate new partnerships and maintaining systems to ensure that those partnerships are successfully managed and sustained.
Prepare compelling major grant applications to secure new funding with sound attention to detail, and work with colleagues by leading and advising on other vital grant applications undertaken by members of the Development team, sharing best practice in fundraising to develop the organisation’s skills.
As part of the Development team, provide appropriate and timely monitoring information to trusts and foundations, as required by their conditions of support including, where appropriate, organising events and visits.
Corporate Fundraising
Lead the Development team on stewarding existing and cultivating new corporate sponsors and ensuring benefits and recognition are delivered across NCO’s marketing channels.
Statutory Funding
Support the Chief Executive and wider team to ensure that NCO fulfils its quarterly and annual reporting requirements to Arts Council England and the Department for Education and in the creation of new funding applications including as part of the next ACE Investment Review.
(NB: The day to day management and reporting requirements of NCO’s NPO and DfE grants will be managed by a newly appointed Business Administrator and overseen by the Chief Executive).
Organisation and Management
Line manage NCO’s Development Manager through individual objective setting and performance management, regular 1:1 meetings and identification of training needs.
Empower the Development team by ensuring they have regular opportunities to develop their skills and experience across different areas of fundraising and through training whilst supporting them wholeheartedly in their professional development.
Inspire and lead the Development team, and set an example, on the application, implementation and adherence to all NCO policies and procedures.
Support the Development team to lead on the development of NCO’s CRM System (Beacon) in specific relation to its fundraising functions, in line with the Data Protection Act.
Maximise the potential of Gift Aid from all donations, supporting the Development team to ensure all donations and payments received are appropriately logged, accompanied by appropriate paperwork and in line with annual audit requirements and submitted in a timely manner.
Produce Development reports for quarterly Board and Finance Committee meetings, attending online and in person as required.
Undertake research and maintain a high level of knowledge about trusts, foundations, individuals, and statutory funding to inform planning.

Responsibilities
Strategic development and implementation

The Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator helps people with sight loss live the life they choose by ensuring volunteers in Operations-based roles are set up for success by preparing and training them for their role. Once in their role, they will support a positive volunteering experience by working to retain, further utilize and develop our volunteers in their role and wider into the Guide Dog family and community. Without our volunteers, none of our services would be possible.
We currently have 2 roles available one would work across the two teams in Sheffield & Notthingham; and the other to work across the two teams in Atherton & Liverpool. A typical fortnight would include days working from the office, days in the community, and some home working. The role holder will manage the time and location of their working days.
For this role, you’ll work 35 hours per week, 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Please be aware that this role may include some travel covering your region and work outside of your usual 9-5 working hours.

ROLE SUMMARY
This role will report to the Senior Delivery Project Manager responsible for the ongoing development of the Alumni programme. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to guide our Alumni programme development. You will be responsible for organising events and opportunities for Alumni, such as our annual Professional Development Courses, in addition to communicating with both the Alumni group and the wider team about the programme and opportunities within it. You will also support tracking and reporting the impact of our work with Alumni to different stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to participate in the fast-paced and rewarding Future Charities Leaders Programme (FCLP) where no two days are the same, where you can focus on your professional development through the FCLP rotations (20% of your time), designed to build your charity management skills.
GRADUATE SCHEME SUMMARY
Being an Alumni Coordinator is the first step on upReach’s Future Charity Leaders Programme (FCLP). The FCLP provides you with a unique opportunity to:

Work directly with our Alumni building their careers and exploring opportunities across different sectors, as well as our partner organisations who support them (4 days per week), while also;
-
Gain exposure to various aspects of charity management through 6-month rotations (1 day per week).

Receive training in Leadership throughout, and have the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in Leadership and Management after 18 months on the programme (in place of rotations).
The FCLP is designed either for graduates from any university, academic subject and background - or for those with experience in the corporate world who are looking for a career change and experience in the charity sector.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
You will contribute to upReach's mission, by leading upReach’s Alumni Programme, including events and communications, supporting young professionals from lower socio-economic backgrounds to continue to develop the key skills necessary for progression in the workplace.
You will report directly to the Senior Delivery Project Manager, who will be on hand to provide guidance and support throughout, and who you will have regular check-ins with on a weekly basis.

Key responsibilities include:
1) ENGAGING ALUMNI
Once a student has graduated from university, and subsequently upReach’s core programmes, you will encourage them to engage with a range of activities. You will be responsible for:

Developing content for our Alumni Platform and drive the use of the platform amongst the Alumni group, maximising the number that update their details, sign up for events and support upReach in a variety of ways.
-
Lead on communication about the programme, both with the Alumni group and with the team and other stakeholders. This includes a monthly Alumni newsletter, whatsapp and social media posts.
-
Lead on the organisation and further development of the Alumni Ambassador Board, including working alongside the Senior Delivery Project Manager to coordinate the logistics of the group, from sending invitations and reminders, as well as organising content.
2) PARTNERSHIPS & EVENTS Our partners make our support possible, and you will gain hands-on experience developing strong relationships with employer partners. The size and complexity of each varies, but you may typically oversee 1-2 large partnerships or 3-4 smaller ones. This includes:

Being a partner’s first point of contact, and participating in update meetings - for example, updating a funder on Alumni engagement at an event.
-
Organising Alumni events (virtual and/or in person): This includes promoting them to Alumni, overseeing logistics, and gathering feedback.
-
Organising Alumni Professional Development Courses (virtual and/or in person). The Professional Development Courses typically involves 5 events focussed on skills necessary to ‘get on, after getting in’. You will be responsible for promoting them to Alumni, overseeing logistics, and gathering feedback.

Support the delivery of additional events where Alumni are included, including funding or external engagement events

Support End of Year Reviews with partners, including data analysis on Alumni engagement and successes - with the aim of ensuring partners renew their agreements.
3) DEVELOP OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALUMNI TO GIVE BACK upReach Alumni are often interested in giving back to upReach after graduation. You will be responsible for:

Coordinating Alumni volunteering opportunities, including keeping an up to date register of Alumni volunteers and opportunities for them to engage in.

Collaborating with different teams across upReach, including:

External events: coordinating Alumni speakers and volunteers

Fundraising: collaborating on fundraising campaigns, specifically targeting Alumni

Programmes team: collaborating with different teams across the Associate-facing programmes team, ensuring they are able to access Alumni volunteers for Associate-facing events

4) ROTATIONS IN DIFFERENT AREAS OF CHARITY MANAGEMENT As part of the FCLP programme, you will work on rotational projects designed to give you a greater exposure and understanding of the different areas of charity management.
You will have a six month rotation in each of the following areas during your first 18 months on the programme: (1) Fundraising, Partnerships and Comms, (2) Operations and Strategy (3) Project and Product Management.

Each week you will work on projects related to your current rotation (7.5 hours per week). These projects will be agreed with your Rotation Manager, in line with the learning objectives for each rotation.
5) LEADERSHIP TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
During your initial 18 months on the programme, you will receive training every six weeks on different soft skills within Leadership through an external training provider. This training will take place through a mixture of online and face to face sessions. Training sessions will include:

6) WIDER ORGANISATIONAL SUPPORT PCs play their part in helping upReach achieve broader organisational objectives. RJ4All is looking for an innovative UK Operations Director who will drive impactful social justice projects and community initiatives while fostering strategic growth and income generation. You will oversee our dynamic UK-based operations out of the Rotherhithe Community Centre, work closely with the Director, and lead our Centre-based team.
Restorative Justice for All (RJ4All) is a charitable, user-led international institute with expertise in preventing and addressing harm at the individual, community and inter-state levels. We are one of the world’s leading experts in transferring complex criminological and social justice concepts into practice through real-life pilots and community projects.
The UK Operations Director will lead on the delivery, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of RJ4All’s UK-based services, and especially those run from the RJ4All Rotherhithe Community Centre. It is expected that they will generate income for the UK operations and contribute to new ideas for UK-based projects that fall within RJ4All’s agreed strategy. Finally, the post holder will act in place of the Director when they are unavailable or for any other agreed reason.
This post requires leadership and strong ethical commitment to RJ4All’s core values and vision, independence balanced against organisational priorities and focus. To this end, the postholder is expected to have excellent communication with the Director, and be able to participate in complex, high level discussions with the non-executive directors and other stakeholders about the future of RJ4All.
