Job Summary: This role provides operational and strategic leadership for the Finance function of Feed The Hungry UK. As part of the Management team, this role reports to the CEO and the Trustee Board.
Work Pattern Full time (37.5 hours per week)

JOB DESCRIPTION Main responsibilities.
Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all internal and external financial processing and reporting, ensuring full compliance with all laws and regulations, including the Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.

Ensure Feed The Hungry operates sound financial, risk management, internal control systems and maintains up-to-date Financial Regulations to safeguard stakeholders' interests and assets and to ensure the integrity of the organisation’s financial performance and statements.

Provide effective day-to-day oversight of the organisation’s financial controls and financial performance, including keeping financial policies up to date and in line with our processes.

As Company Secretary, support governance activities, including administration for board meetings, trustee enquiries and administrative duties for the board.

Ensure the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial data, including strategic plans, budgets, management accounts, live forecasts, and financial data and monitoring requested by funders.

Provide financial and management support to the CEO, Directors and trustees on the financial position and risks and opportunities of Feed the Hungry.

Financial oversight of contract negotiations (utilities, insurance).

Proactively develop strong working relationships with FTH managers, providing constructive challenge and commercial insight in support of the strategy. Be proactive in challenging the status quo and be prepared to bring new ideas that will enhance the organisation’s activities and returns.

Regular monitoring and tracking of grants made to the organisation. Ensuring external reporting deadlines are met and internal updates on remaining spend is conveyed to project management grant holders.

We are looking for someone with experience in or around the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) Sector to become our new Head of Sector Development. This new role will oversee several Alliances between VCFSE organisations, Health and Local Government, as well as leading on our sector development offer.
Our preferred candidate will have significant stakeholder management experience and be confident in managing relationships across different sectors. They will have a good understanding of the VCFSE sector, and an understanding of Health or Local Government is desirable. In this role, you will be the face of our friendly and passionate Supporter Engagement Team. You will have the opportunity to support in creating and launching exciting new fundraising products, attend a wide variety of events and add your voice by reviewing current processes which will benefit our fundraisers.
You will work closely with our network of 12 home-based Regional Fundraising Officers (RFOs) as well as our Sporting Events and Corporate Teams. You will be the first point of contact for the majority of our supporters and will offer first-class stewardship to ensure our fundraisers feel well-supported before, during and after their amazing adventures.
You will provide crucial administrative support to the RFOs and all teams in Supporter Led Fundraising (Sporting Events, Corporate, and Marketing and Engagement). Support will include adding accurate details to our database, coding gifts tracking and monitoring income, responsibility for online donation platforms and virtual fundraising as well as general administrative duties in the office.
This role will be known internally as Fundraising Executive*
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Be the positive, passionate face and first point of contact for the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) team.
· Build first-class and long-term relationships through telephone calls and emails with our supporters to ensure they have the best fundraising experience at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Provide central stewardship support to a remote-based team of Regional Fundraising Officers (RFOs) to ensure effective delivery of the SLF strategy and budget.
· Provide administrative support for the whole of the SLF team, primarily to the home-based RFOs.
· Support the Sporting Events Team with recruitment and stewardship of events.

· Ensure all communications are in line with GDPR policies.
· Become the Central coordinator for SLF-wide activities and procedures, e.g. skydives, contactless machines and invoice processing.
Spotting Potential
· As the central point of contact for the SLF team, you will effectively and consistently spot opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community and flag these to the relevant members of the team.
· Identify and research potential community group and business partnerships for SLF teams.
· Use data reports to spot fundraising trends and identify opportunities.
· Help spot opportunities and contact supporters as part of our re-engagement process to encourage repeat fundraising.
· Effectively communicate ARUK’s legacy messages to supporters via telephone and in writing.
Collaboration
· Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation in order to work collaboratively, allowing you to offer the best stewardship journey to our supporters.
· Work with our Supporters and Families Team by sharing fundraiser stories to maximise potential publicity.
· Work closely with teams such as Science Communications, Digital and Design to help create appropriate stewardship journey assets for the whole of SLF.
· Liaise with our Supporter Care team to ensure processes are in-line across the organisation.

About the role
We are looking for a Head of Financial Operations, who will provide leadership and development to the Financial Transactions Team and the Local Groups Finance Team during a period of transition to new systems and processes.
You will lead the annual audit process, acting as the primary contact for auditors and other external advisors. Additionally, you'll be responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of financial and reporting processes throughout the charity by leveraging data and digital tools.

About the Role
Responsibilities of the role comprise:
Campaign planning
- Lead the delivery of an ambitious and creative media and campaign strategy to bring about an improved recognition of the value and impact of youth work.
- Lead on other campaign strategy and planning, utilising a range of campaign tactics integrating media, digital media and other campaign tactics, working closely with other members of the Comms team and across Directorates.
- Oversee campaign activity for the annual Youth Work Week, to ensure the campaign engages key opinion formers and provides an opportunity for those within the sector to celebrate the impactful work they do.

About the role

- Ensure that all visiting groups and their staff are fully briefed on the Boat Station’s policies and procedures and that there is adequate supervision of Cadets and young people at the facility, so as to discharge their duty of care for them.

- Ensure that best practise in accordance with the NGB guidelines and requirements following our Inshore Boating Operating Standard.

JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of this post is to provide comprehensive financial management for Bradford Hospitals Charity, ensuring accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and effective management of the Charity's financial position.
The Finance Manager will play a critical role in supporting the charity through its exciting transition to independence, establishing appropriate financial systems, controls, and procedures to ensure the charity can operate effectively as an independent organisation. This will include developing new financial governance structures and helping to shape the charity's financial strategy for the future.
The Finance Manager will lead on all aspects of the Charity's financial management, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making by the Charity Director and Trustees. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant professional standards, Charity Commission requirements, and NHS guidelines.

Working collaboratively with fundraising and operational colleagues, the Finance Manager will help maximise the use of charitable funds to benefit patients and the Trust.
JOB DIMENSIONS
The post will have responsibility for the Charity's financial systems, including managing and monitoring all charitable income and expenditure, financial forecasting, producing monthly Financial and management accounts, annual accounts, and maintaining effective control systems.
A key aspect of this role is managing the Charity's portfolio of trust funds, which consists of various restricted, designated and unrestricted funds. The Finance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all donations are correctly allocated to the appropriate funds, that expenditure from these funds complies with donors' wishes and charity law, and that fund balances are accurately tracked and reported.
The postholder will carry out their duties in line with departmental accounting policies, and with reference to Trust Standard Financial Instructions (SFIs) & Standing Orders (SOs), as well as charity-specific financial regulations and requirements.
The Finance Manager will provide expert financial advice to fund advisors, Charity staff, and the Charity Director, taking initiative to achieve agreed results and working independently on a day-to-day basis within clearly defined policies, protocols, procedures, and codes of conduct. While having significant autonomy in managing the charity's finances, the postholder will not work in isolation but as part of a supportive network that includes senior finance leadership within the Trust.

Our highly customised Salesforce database supports every aspect of our work—capturing and managing data from volunteers, pupils, schools, and tutoring sessions. As Data and Insights Manager, you will make sure our system remains fit for purpose and help turn data into meaningful insights that can inform decision-making.
Duties and responsibilities
Salesforce and systems development
- Collaborate with external Salesforce development consultants to continue building our system capabilities and design.
- Design and oversee the collection of stakeholder, tutoring delivery, quality assurance and evaluation data, working with colleagues to ensure data is collected in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
Team leadership and support
- Line manage the Data Lead, ensuring their work is of high quality and they have clear development objectives.
- Plan and oversee training and support for the whole organisation on the effective use of Salesforce, developing their understanding of the purpose and value of data.
Data insights
- Support the Head of Impact and Quality to generate insights from data to inform evidence-based decision-making across departments, including through dashboards.

Data governance
- Champion data security and GDPR compliance across the organisation, including contributing to the upkeep of privacy notices, responding to queries, and facilitating stakeholder GDPR rights.
- Any other reasonable tasks as per the request of the CEO.
About you (person specification)
Qualifications criteria:

- Two or more years experience with Salesforce administration.
- Experience working with complex datasets in Excel (including data cleaning in preparation for import, export or analysis).
- Experience analysing and visualising quantitative data.
- Good understanding of GDPR compliance and processes.
- Able to design new processes that are scalable, impactful and user-focused.
- Experience managing projects effectively.
- Confident in communicating change to stakeholders at all levels.
- Creative and inquisitive about how technology and automation can improve efficiency.

You will be likely be more successful in this role if you have:
- Salesforce Administrator Certification (or on track to complete within the next six months).
- Line management experience.
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience using coding languages R, Python or SQL for data cleaning or analysis.
- Experience working in the charity or NGO sector.
Reports to: Head of Impact and Quality

Contract and hours: Permanent, full time contract (37.5 hours)
We offer flexible hours 9.30-4pm as core hours.
