We are looking for a Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager to join the National Theatre Development Team.
The purpose of the role
This role is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of fundraising at the National Theatre, as we look to grow our income from individual members, major donors, trusts and corporate organisations.
Working with the Senior Prospect Research & Donor Insight Manager, you will develop a strong fundraising pipeline that will ensure the team can reach their long-term targets.
Your natural curiosity will lead you to identify new opportunities using a variety of online sources in combination with the NT’s database, Tessitura, and you will be able to articulate your recommendations to fundraisers in a concise and compelling way. With excellent attention to detail, this role also undertakes due diligence research into potential funders to assess any risks to the NT of accepting funds. This role also manages the Development Operations Assistant, who leads the day-to-day administration of the Development database.
The role has scope to offer insights across the whole Development team and NT senior management, and would suit a strong collaborator with enthusiasm for the work of the NT.
The successful candidate will have the following:

About the role
This role is all about developing a welcoming and supportive support group community for kinship carers wherever they live. Building belonging, resilience and empowerment for support group leaders and kinship carers.
Funded by the Department for Education, our national Peer Support Service is creating a sustainable and life-changing legacy for kinship carers across England.
This is a game-changing service for kinship carers and builds on Kinship’s 10 years’ experience of developing peer support groups, and two years delivering a national service which has set up 145 new groups.
As a Peer Support Officer, you’ll make sure we deliver an exceptional and consistent peer support service for kinship carers.
You’ll set-up and develop new in-person groups in areas of high need, as well as supporting existing groups to thrive, developing a resilient and powerful peer support community.
Purpose of the role
Taking responsibility for the North West of England, you will reach out and work directly in local communities to develop sustainable kinship peer support groups.
You’ll need to think strategically – mapping areas and utilising resources to be effective and efficient in managing your time and building local connections.
Using community engagement techniques like coffee mornings, community events and linking with our training and support service, you’ll build local connections and relationships.
As you develop a group and recruit support group leaders, you’ll provide standardised training and help the group to navigate forming and storming – providing reassurance and support to empower the group.
Once the group is stable, you’ll transition the support group leader/s over to the ‘Hub’ team to build confidence and knowledge to run their group independently. You’ll also support online groups and special interest groups to transition to independence.
You’ll ensure targets are met and that kinship carers receive a good experience.
Key responsibilities include:

In person (face-to-face) strategic outreach into local and regional communities including setting up and attending local engagement events.

Set up and develop at least six new sustainable in person peer support groups annually, attending up to six sessions in person (if needed) before transition to self-sufficiency.

Recruit and retain support group leaders to develop their peer support groups.

Deliver standardised training to support group leaders (group roles and responsibilities, safeguarding, setting up, running and promoting a group).
Essential requirements include:

Proven experience in reaching and establishing strong relationships with hidden or underserved communities in person.

Significant experience developing peer support communities.

Proven experience of recruiting, managing, training and supporting volunteers in community settings with an emphasis on understanding and working with vulnerable volunteers.

Main duties and responsibilities
Fundraising Overview
1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for Pecan.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local churches and individuals.
3. Coordinate all Appeals including the Pecan and Foodbank Christmas fundraising campaigns and Big Give Campaigns across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities across Pecan such as Payroll Giving, Legacies, in Memory Giving and Online Giving.
Supporter Engagement and Stewardship
1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to Pecan’s supporters.
2. To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3. Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all supporters and managing complaints and issues, ensuring they are reported centrally within agreed procedures, that they are resolved or escalated as necessary and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes.
4. Develop and implement stewardship programmes including reactivation of lapsed donors.
Database Management
1. Assist with setting up our CRM database with responsibility of developing and maintaining the database, ensuring efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2. Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3. Train other staff members to be able to use the database sufficiently.

Individual Giving

3. Work with the Marketing Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Church Giving
1. Inspire churches to journey with us as we transform lives in Peckham.
2. Pioneer and develop a broad range of relationships with churches, organisations, and denominations across Southwark.
3. Work strategically with denominations to inspire partnership and engagement with Pecan across their networks and congregations.
4. Build a team of speakers who will host and speak at meetings with churches and Christian networks in Southwark.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns
1. Work alongside teams and Partnerships Manager to project manage fundraising appeals and campaigns including Pecan at 35yrs; Christmas Campaigns etc.

3. Oversight of Enthuse campaign pages.
4. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the Partnerships Manager, to explain the work of Pecan to potential company supporters.

Staff and Volunteers

Role Definition
The Development Department is responsible for securing revenue and project income from funding sources including individuals, businesses, trusts and statutory organisations to support the Theatre and its work. Radley College is seeking an experienced, target-orientated and creative Foundation Manager, with full understanding of the running of an annual fundraising programme. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious fundraiser to join a supportive team at one of the UK's premier boys boarding schools, with an established fundraising culture and alumni relations programme. The Foundation Manager will produce all of the annual appeals (bespoke, parent deposits and all community), manage the trusts and foundations portfolio, deliver all Foundation events, produce the Foundation publications and communications.
The Foundation Manager will join a close-knit, supportive and collaborative Development Office dedicated to supporting Radley College's mission and advancing its fundraising goals. While a background in education is advantageous, we welcome candidates from various sectors, prioritising drive, energy, and passion. As Development Manager, you will help build growth by driving forward fundraising with trusts and foundations, strategically building relationships and proactively seeking to maximise opportunities. By developing an in-depth knowledge of the organisations work, and with an ability to articulate nuanced strategies and the high impact of our activities, you will research and cultivate an expanding portfolio of existing relationships and promising prospects to ensure continued philanthropic support. You will also write high quality funding proposals and tailored presentations and coordinate internal teams to gain their input and develop work plans.
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Demonstratable experience with trusts and foundations.
- Proven track record of relationship building and producing compelling and successful grant proposals to secure six-figure grants (success with securing seven-figure grants highly desirable).
- Adept at engaging and inspiring donors, understanding diverse donor motivations, and skilled at delivering bespoke relationships to meet these aims.
- Demonstrable skill in adapting complex, and sometimes technical, written and verbal communications for a philanthropy audience

Age UK are recruiting for a Senior Influencing Project Manager on a fixed term 12 month contract.
We will be developing a number of research, policy and practice development projects in support of our new strategy. These include the 'extremely vulnerable people' project and a new partnership researching older people's experiences pre and post an urgent episode of care or emergency hospital admission.
This exciting opportunity will also take on responsibility for managing our response to the Pandemic Inquiry and relationship with the Health and Wellbeing Alliance. This is initially a 12-month role, with the possibility of extending to 24 months depending on project funding.
The successful Senior Strategic Influencing Manager will take the lead in designing and delivering these complex projects, including management of external partners, consultants or agencies and internal teams as required. The role will work closely with the Policy Lead, Clinical Lead and Head of Health Influencing to coordinate and drive delivery of the organisation's goals and strategic priorities across health and care.
This hybrid role, known as a Senior Strategic Project Manager within the charity, offers flexible working between home and a central London co-working hub. Occasional travel may also be required to attend meetings, workshops etc.

Great to haves:
- Good oral advocacy skills and ability to build influential relationships with senior stakeholders, with the ability to present complex issues in a persuasive, accessible style to a range of audiences and in different settings (meetings, speeches, media etc.).
- Experience of policy analysis and advocacy at a senior level, including managing relationships with funders, external stakeholders and lead officials.
- Ability to assimilate new policy issues/areas quickly, make connections between different policy areas, and initiate and frame new policy agendas.
- Excellent skills in policy analysis with a focus on robust evidence, understanding political and policy contexts, and finding solutions.
