Many families we work with also struggle with hunger, grief and anxiety, and just don’t know where to turn for support. Our volunteers are a lifeline to hundreds of families each year, offering one-to-one home-visiting and a wide range of support for parents to ensure that their children have the best start in life. We are seeking a Volunteering and Engagement Coordinator to recruit and develop a diverse team of volunteers, to support our work with families in Barnet, Brent and Harrow.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking change-maker to test new approaches to engaging with local communities and potential volunteers. You will understand the importance of brand and positive messaging, and will be able to use a variety of techniques including social media to promote volunteering opportunities to different communities of interest.

Additionally, the postholder will be an inclusive and engaging communicator, with the ability to build supportive relationships with a diverse group of volunteers. The postholder will ensure that volunteers receive training, development and supervision to support the families we work with, and that high standards of practice are maintained. You will promote initiatives to increase the retention of existing volunteers and ensure that they are recognised and rewarded for their work.

The work requires a combination of field-based community engagement and training in Barnet, Brent and Harrow and regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.

Job Description

Job Title:	HR Administrator
Location:	The successful candidate will be based at the Wolverhampton site and will be required to travel to all branches as needed. This is an in-person, on-site role with no hybrid or remote work options available.
Reporting To:	Volunteer and Training Manager, and HR Generalist
Salary and benefits:	£24,000 to £26,000
Hours:	35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00am to 5:00pm, including a one-hour unpaid lunch break.

About the Role:

In this role, you will provide vital administrative support to both the Volunteer and Training Manager and the HR Generalist. Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

 

· Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Volunteer and Training Manager and the HR Generalist.

· Maintain accurate and well-organised electronic and paper filing systems for HR and volunteer records.

· Assist with preparing and formatting HR documents, letters, contracts, and reports.

· Post job adverts on relevant platforms and track incoming applications.

· Carry out pre-employment checks, including requesting references and processing DBS checks for staff and volunteers.

· Collect, scan, and file new starter documents, ensuring all forms are complete and compliant for staff and volunteers.

· Update and maintain HR spreadsheets, records, and databases with staff and volunteer information.

· Prepare induction packs and organise materials for new starter and volunteer onboarding sessions.

· Monitor and respond to emails and queries sent to shared HR and volunteering inboxes, referring or escalating as appropriate.

· Maintain stock of HR-related office supplies, such as forms, training materials, and welcome packs.

· Provide support with room bookings, refreshments, and setting up for training or volunteer events.

· Assist with routine data entry and help compile basic HR reports or staff lists.

· Ensure confidentiality and accuracy when handling sensitive employee and volunteer information.

· Send routine reminders for probation reviews, training deadlines, or document submissions.

· Responsible for attending meetings, capturing key discussions and decisions; and then distributing the minutes.

· Support the volunteer manager with shortlisting candidates for volunteering roles.

· Keep the volunteer management system up to date, with relevant changes/additions.

· Assist the volunteer manager with reference requests from former volunteers.

· Liaise with voluntary service councils across the West Midlands, to place new volunteer roles.

· Undertake general administrative tasks and any other duties as directed by senior HR colleagues.

· At least 2 years of experience working in an administrative role within a Human Resources environment.

· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in administrative work.

· Confident in handling confidential and sensitive information.

· Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.

Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)

Location: The GAIA Centre (Lambeth, London)

The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:

· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues 

· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on 

· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis 

· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation 

· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager 

The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).

The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.

The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

Centre 33’s Wellbeing team offer a diverse support offer to (primarily) young people aged 13-25 and founded in the principles of low intensity CBT (Guided Self Help). Working closely alongside other Centre 33 services, the team are responsible for the delivery of interventions via the Guided Self Help pathway, to young people who have self-referred or consented to a parent/professional referral to address early emerging mental health difficulties such as low mood and anxiety. In addition, the team apply creative approaches to create, adapt and share evidenced based GSH materials that are shared via one off sessions, workshops, training and events. The team design psychoeducational and wellbeing strategy- based resources for use both internally (social media campaigns and website) and externally (eg. schools). The Wellbeing team consists of a blend of Senior CWP, Qualified CWPs and Trainee CWPs.

JUSTICE is looking to recruit an interim Trust and Foundation Fundraiser to join our friendly, values-led team. This is a fixed term post for 15 months (maternity cover) and provides an exciting opportunity for someone who has experience of raising income from trusts and foundations. 

We are looking for an individual who has an interest in the purpose of the charity (to improve the UK justice system so that it is fair and within everyone’s reach), as well as a keen interest in taking responsibility for raising income from new and existing trusts and foundations and stewarding grants. This is an exciting time to join JUSTICE as we focus on a period of growth, looking to expand our reach out of London and internationally.  This role will really suit someone who enjoys identifying and then building relationships with funders, has great writing skills, has experience of securing five to six figure grants, is comfortable with a degree of autonomy and who thrives in this competitive fundraising environment. 

Around one-third of JUSTICE’s £1.5 million income currently comes from grants, with active partnerships including major funders. Sustaining and growing this income will require proactive research, strategic outreach, and a highly organised, detail-focused approach to both applications and stewardship.

The role works closely with the Director of Development and Policy Team, who are committed to leveraging their time and networks to support fundraising success, to put together engaging applications and grant reports. JUSTICE is a law reform and human rights organisation, working to improve processes and policies to support everyone, particularly marginalised groups, be able to seek justice or a remedy when their rights have been breached or the law has been broken. Our London base has a number of hot desks dedicated to JUSTICE and access to meeting rooms and other spaces and we work alongside other like-minded charities in the justice sector as part of the Hub. 

All team members are expected to join the ‘in-person’ days in the office (roughly 5 days a year) but otherwise we encourage and support flexible working. Alongside flexible working conditions, every member of staff is entitled to 27 days annual leave plus an additional two days of leave to look after your wellbeing and to celebrate your birthday. We also close the office between 25 December and 1 January (inclusive), which is addition to the annual leave mentioned above. We review salaries according to inflationary changes on an annual basis, contribute 8% to your pension for the first 2yrs, rising to a 10.5% contribution thereafter and offer generous parental and dependency-related leave. Job Title: Senior Supervising Social Worker (Specialist Step Forward from Residential Hub)

You will supervise and support a hub of foster carers and a small number of specialist ‘Step Forward’ foster carers. What you will need to succeed

You will have demonstrable and applied experience in a data analyst role and hold an appropriate qualification in a relevant subject. You will be familiar and confident in using data visualisation tools and programming languages to manipulate, analyse and present data.

A compelling communicator you will have the ability to translate complex data into easily digestible, accessible and actionable insights that can be easily understood by diverse stakeholders.
