Overview  

At Young Roots, we want to see a compassionate and welcoming society for young refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. We work alongside young people seeking safety in the UK, building trusted relationships, providing practical and emotional support and promoting young people’s rights and power.   

Our youth clubs and casework are transformative for young refugees, allowing young people who have fled danger, had traumatic journeys and who are often here alone, to find community and connection, have a space to be a young person and access support in addressing a whole range of practical challenges they face. We also draw on our evidence from working every day with young refugees and asylum seekers to call for change to the laws and policies which are harming young people.  

The Youth Development Coordinator is responsible for the development and delivery of our youth development programme for young refugees and asylum seekers. 

You will be focused on ensuring our programme activities achieve our outcomes, are in line with our strategy and identify areas for change and development under the direction of the Head of Services. An excellent communicator and skilled at working with partners, you will be key in the implementation and running all of our weekly youth activities, including a Youth Club and Advice and Support Hub working closely with the Youth Development Worker and having oversight of our weekly Young Women’s group. 

As an experienced manager, you will lead our team of skilled youth workers, working alongside the Brent team to provide holistic support to young asylum seekers and refugees in Brent.  

You will prioritise the participation of young people in all activities, ensuring excellent safeguarding by following our policy and protocols, and ensure that we collect excellent data for monitoring and evaluation and to aid our future planning. You will also assist with staff and volunteer recruitment and reporting to our funding partners. 

The Youth Development Coordinator will hold a Designated Safeguarding Officer role at Young Roots for which they will receive full training.

Purpose of the role:

The Junior Salesforce Administrator role supports the effective use and ongoing development of the Churchill Fellowship’s Salesforce CRM platform and related applications. Working closely with the Salesforce Team and other internal teams, you will ensure our data remains accurate and accessible, help to improve business processes, and provides user support and training across the organisation. You will play a key part in ensuring Salesforce functions as the single source of truth for organisational data. 

Key responsibilities:

Salesforce Administration and Support:

• Support day-to-day Salesforce user needs, including responding to support tickets and troubleshooting.
• Maintain data quality through duplicate management, validation rules, and standardised field formatting.
• Assist with regular data cleaning activities and updates to system records. 
• Help to prepare technical documentation and user guidance materials. 
• Contribute to routine platform maintenance, upgrades, and third-party app integrations (e.g., FormAssembly, Conga). 
• Support data reporting and dashboards to ensure teams can access reliable insights. 
• Collaborate on developing and refining automated processes using Flows and other Salesforce tools.

Grant & Event Technical Support:

• Assist with the technical setup of grant-related processes in Salesforce, including automations and applicant communications. 
• Support the Events and Development teams with Salesforce Campaign setup, RSVP forms, and invitation tracking. 
• Help ensure integrations and automations run smoothly before, during, and after events. 
• Monitor engagement and follow-up activities through reports and dashboards.

Systems Training & Team Support:

• Provide training and onboarding support to help new and existing staff understand and use Salesforce effectively.
• Contribute to the identification of system improvement opportunities to support organisational needs. 
• Work with internal teams to ensure data protocols are followed and support the development of efficient processes. 
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration and continuous learning by proactively offering ideas for improvements.

Recruitment Process

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead the development of a new corporate partnerships programme. • Work closely with grant seekers to support them through our funding processes, assess their applications and write and present high quality assessment recommendations to our decision-making Panels.

• Manage your own caseload, liaise with grant recipients, undertake project visits, identify, and manage risk and support organisations to deliver their projects and measure their impact.
• Ensure our grant management and assessment play an effective part in contributing to the Fund’s knowledge and learning as a grant maker.
• Use your critical thinking skills, curiosity, interest and understanding of our community-led mission areas to support and inform your approach to assessment and grant management.
• Be responsible for supporting people and communities across the UK, you will have a strong understanding of our vision, our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and our funding products.
• Work with stakeholders at different levels, represent the Fund at events, project visits and share learning from conversations, events, grant holder reports with the wider team so that we can maximise our impact.

The role requires occasional (once a month) travel across the UK to observe and critically analyse the work of applicants and grant holders.

To support this, the Department of Culture Media and Sport are making a direct investment in the #will Movement to support the mobilization of Towns and Cities, and we now require three new Place Partnership Managers in the #iWill Movement to work alongside local stakeholders to support their mobilisation of their Town or City of social action.

This role will have a specific focus in identified towns/cities/places in England, working with young people and partners to create conditions for youth led place-based change, as part of the #iWill Movement’s Town and Cities of social action agenda.

The role will take the best practice from existing work in Ipswich, Manchester and Blackpool to create guiding principles for establishing local governance and partnerships that can support a Town or City of Youth Social action to be created.

The role will liaise with local stakeholders to support their funding bid to the #iwill Fund, ensuring young people are in the lead and sponsoring applications. The role will support and influence organisations in agreed Towns and Cities to sign the Power of Youth Charter and make strategic commitments to support young people through the #iwill Movement.

The role will also support local places to construct movement building and income generation plans to ensure ongoing investment from local stakeholders beyond the period of funding award. 

This role requires someone rooted in the practice of community based and youth led change, with experience in facilitation and the ability to manage complex partnerships and influence a variety of stakeholders, including through income generation activities.

 About the role

Our Client Advisers are often the first people our clients speak to – and that first conversation really matters.

Whether someone is facing financial hardship, struggling with their mental health, or unsure where to turn for help, you’ll be there to listen, understand, and guide them through the support we offer.

It’s a varied and rewarding role. You’ll provide advice and guidance, coordinate casework, process grants, and refer clients to our trusted partners – helping them access the right support at the right time.

You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team who share ideas, support one another, and care deeply about doing good work. We’ll make sure you’re fully trained, supported, and encouraged to grow.

 About you

You’re someone who genuinely cares about helping others – and knows how to listen without judgement.

You have experience supporting people with things like housing, benefits, mental wellbeing or budgeting – or you might come from another role where empathy, problem-solving and clear communication were key.

Some of the people you support may be facing difficult situations, so you’ll be calm under pressure and confident making decisions. And while not every call is as complex, you’ll always have the support of your team.

You’ll be organised, curious, and open to learning. Most of all, you’ll want your work to have a tangible, positive impact on people’s lives.
