We’ve made substantial progress as we implement our new strategy, with improvements and expansions to our delivery model and a renewed vision and mission. To support our recent growth, we are recruiting for a new part time Finance Officer to help us effectively manage our day-to-day financial processes and provide financial and administrative support to our growing team of staff and volunteers.

Working closely with colleagues across the charity, your responsibilities will include the processing of purchase invoices and expenses, raising of contract invoices, assisting with budgets and forecasts and supporting our Income Generation team with their finance needs. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to various finance projects and strategic initiatives.

It is essential that you have strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, good communication abilities, and a proactive attitude towards assisting with diverse finance tasks. Ideally you will possess a formal accounting qualification (AAT or equivalent) or be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping. Underpinning this will be the ability to build relationships, and personal qualities that include persistence, determination and a problem-solving approach. This is a home-based role but may require occasional travel around the UK including overnight stays.

This is an exciting role for those with grant management and grant assessment experience to use their skills to support grassroots community sports.

The role

Our Grant Assessment Managers form part of a centralised Grant Assessment function – a flexible and adaptable team which provides critique and assessment of applications submitted to the Football Foundation and Premier League Stadium Fund for capital and revenue grants, working within short timescales. In addition to the core function, Grant Assessment Managers are required to undertake Post Award Support to ensure the objectives of our grants are being met. This involves both face-to-face and remote meetings with grant recipients, where an assessment of delivery of outcomes, KPI measures and compliance with grant terms and conditions is made.

What are we looking for?

You don’t have to be a football fan to join the Foundation, but you must have a detailed understanding of grant application and grant giving processes and governance, coupled with an ability to effectively apply this knowledge to provide high levels of customer service. You’ll have experience of critiquing and assessing grant applications, as well as an understanding of the operations, requirements and challenges faced by community organisations, statutory bodies and not-for-profits.

You must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience of communicating with and supporting a diverse range of colleagues and applicants remotely, as well as experience of producing detailed reports for decision-makers.

Grant Assessment Managers must be highly organised, with the ability to respond flexibly to changing priorities, adapting their approach for each programme to ensure governance and compliance requirements are met.

Developing and maintaining MAP’s MEAL systems - 50% 

• Work with the UK Director of Programmes to develop MAP’s online MEAL database. Support the testing of the new system and its roll out to MAP staff and partners. 

• Work with MAP programme staff to develop high quality MEAL tools for each project. 

• Work with MAP programme staff to ensure that data is collected, compiled, checked for its quality and completeness in compliance with MAP and donors’ standards;

PERSON SPECIFICATION 

Experience 

• Experience developing primary data collection tools, conducting data collection and entry 

• Possess advanced technical knowledge of M&E approaches and techniques including Outputs, Outcome monitoring; Theories of Change, Logical frameworks, data collection, basic data analysis, accountability, and community feedback mechanisms 

• A minimum of two years experience in humanitarian/development INGOs is essential; 

• Health-related programme experience is highly desirable, as is experience working in emergency situations and areas of conflict. 

• Experience in using MEAL databases is highly desirable 

Skills and abilities 

• Excellent facilitation skills, and strong understanding of how to safely and accurately collect feedback from community members. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic is essential. 

• Good computer skills in MS Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint– with experience in writing MEAL reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Production
- Coordination of end-to-end production processes for campaign materials, including videos, graphics, and print collateral.
- Support the liaison with external vendors, printers, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating new suppliers aligned with the Communications INC's values and the values of environmental and social responsibility.
- Contribute to the request for estimates from sustainable suppliers, aligning with project timelines and budgets.
- Coordinate client requests for media and OOH advertising, liaising with designers, advertising agencies and the client as needed.
- Produce and manage production briefs, timeline and budgets as required.
- Source high-quality images for campaigns while adhering to copyright and licensing regulations.

About the role

We have a new and exciting opportunity to work with us as an Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Manager (External) to provide continuity while our EDI Strategy Lead is on maternity leave. Reporting to the Executive Director, Impact and working with key stakeholders and colleagues across the whole organisation, you will help ensure alignment between our external For Everyone Strategic Framework and our new organisational strategy. As a charity for everyone, this framework outlines our approach to embedding equity, diversity and inclusion internally within our organisation and externally in our delivery work.

As the EDI Manager (External) you will be supporting the Senior Leadership Team to deliver core actions from the For Everyone External Action Plan. You will also be responsible for reporting and evaluating progress on the implementation of the For Everyone External Action Plan.

You will be overseeing the consistent implementation of Sustrans Approaches, a new document that sets out the services that Sustrans offers, with a particular focus on inclusive design and delivery. As part of this, you will be providing guidance, training and bespoke support to colleagues, so that they feel confident and competent in inclusive design principles and practice.

Ensuring quality and timely execution, you will be managing specific EDI work projects and change initiatives, as outlined in the External Action Plan and/or Sustrans Approaches. About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Reprieve team as our Head of Digital and Mass Engagement covering parental leave. With the support of the Deputy Director of Development, you will lead our fast‐moving and creative Mass Engagement Team, who power fundraising across multiple channels.
