The opportunity has arisen to join the Senior Leadership team support staff in an exciting new role at the heart of philanthropic leadership at the University of Oxford. With an initial focus on supporting the fundraising activity of the Executive Director of Development, this new role will increase our capacity to secure multi-million-pound donations from across the globe.

About the Role

The main duties of this post will be the provision of high quality and efficient project management for the Senior Leadership team, including:

• Developing fundraising proposals, briefings and supporting materials for the SLT to use to promote funding opportunities to potential donors.
• Collating information and materials to provide reports for the SLT and other senior officers within the Pro Vice Chancellors’ and Vice Chancellor’s offices as needed for donor and volunteer cultivation, solicitations, stewardship and events.
• Managing donor reporting for key donors, liaising with academics and other key stakeholders to draft reports to donors. 
• Providing follow-up to any initiative which members of the SLT thinks must be tracked but which does not fall within the remit of any of the Development and Alumni Engagement teams, prompting members of the team about action as needed.

To Be Successful You’ll Need:

• Experience of providing a high level of project support in a fast-paced, complex organisation, ideally in a higher education or development environment
• An ability to act independently and decisively when the situation demands it.  Good judgement and the ability to acquire the knowledge necessary to support the task in hand in a timely manner
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including a good command of the English language; the ability to be highly creative in producing materials and to understand how to articulate projects

Development Director

Main Purpose and Scope of the Role

The Development Director will be a key part of the Action4Youth Senior Management Team, contributing to strategic development of the whole organisation and taking responsibility for the leadership and management of all aspects of business development, sales, fundraising, marketing and communications.

The Development Director will ensure development to support the Strategic and Operational Plans in order to achieve growth, sustainability and stability and to support the Action4Youth core offer i.e.  programme delivery and outdoor education.

Because Action4Youth is a relatively small organisation, teams are small and this means that even senior members of the team like Directors may have to cover for a team member when on leave or generally help out as necessary to achieve targets. In this particular role, that could mean undertaking basic tasks like completing a funding bid to meet a deadline, updating a webpage, writing blog posts or handling sales calls. This job is unusual in genuinely being both strategic and hands on.

Networking is an important part of this role so the post holder will often be expected to attend out of hours events to represent Action4Youth and to develop valuable relationships and connections.

About ICT at Hope into Action 

ICT is critical to delivery of the Hope into Action vision of every church lovingly making a home for those experiencing homelessness. We have experienced rapid growth across the UK and are now in 35 towns. Our ICT provides a vital window for each town in the Hope into Action network of people, policies, document storage and training resources. Our internal ICT capacity is mission critical. Our first line helpdesk is outsourced. This role will take the lead on several key projects that will ready out ICT infrastructure for the next phase of growth. 

About the role 

Our ICT Network Lead is both a strategic and user-empowering role. For this role, you would be someone who is flexible with an ability to keep systems running smoothly whilst at the same time pursuing improvements.

You will manage the outsourcing of IT contracts, including help desk, finance, CRM databases, mobiles, landline, internet and printers / copiers. Oversee the on-going development of the SharePoint Online site as a robust efficient tool for day-to-day use. You will introduce new ways to monitor the satisfaction with ICT across the network and take responsibility for data security.

Joining a small national team, the Business Partnerships Manager for London will support the London and national Tempo team to expand and deepen the networks of community, public and private sector programmes and to develop new opportunities and partnerships in London.

Key responsibilities:

• Regional Recognition Network Development: You will develop regional recognition opportunities with potential partners, attract a diverse range of regional partners aligned with Tempo funders' objectives, and ensure network variety meets programme and beneficiary needs.
• Lead Generation: You will promote Tempo's work through events and communications, identify and approach new business leads, attend events, present, and network, and coordinate business development enquiries and attend and pitch Time Credits in meetings.
• Management of the London Recognition Network: You will ensure the effective management of the Network, including partner communications and regular network audits, provide leadership for recognition communications, such as newsletters, marketing materials, and social media, contribute to reporting and provide data and evidence, and manage existing partner relationships.

It’s our job to make sure that our supporters have a fantastic experience from the moment they contact us.

As our team lead, you’ll be providing the day to day management of our 3 Fundraising Executives.

You and your team will provide exceptional stewardship and customer care to our supporters, as well as project support to our wider Community and Events function. And will help coordinate a range of fundraising activities to achieve income targets.

As well as managing your direct reports you’ll support individuals who are taking part in our many challenge events or organising their own DIY fundraising.  And there’ll be plenty of opportunities to attend events and see our work in action!

Our aim is to make it as easy as possible for people to achieve their goals.

Providing the tools, advice and support they need to reach their potential, feel valued and form long term relationships that mean they continue to fundraise for us in future.

You’ll be super organised, fantastic at relationship building, enjoy creating processes, and have great customer care and communication skills. You'll work closely with our supporters, volunteers, local groups and our wider fundraising team.

You’ll be from a supporter or customer care background.

And ideally be able to demonstrate some understanding of community and events fundraising, supporter journey development, and extensive use of customer relationship databases.

Job Title:  Research and Impact Lead

Location: Hybrid with minimum 8 offices days per month in either London or Leeds office 

Contract: Full time, permanent   

Salary: £46,000 – £53,000 per annum depending on experience

The Research and Impact Lead role brings scope for dynamic collaboration across the organization, and creativity in applying research and evaluation expertise to a range of opportunities. The Research and Impact Lead will shape, drive and deliver a range of learning activities. They will be a voice for evidence-based decision making within BookTrust, ensuring that we put the needs of children, families, and our delivery partners at the heart of our work.

In this role we are looking for an experienced mixed methods researcher to oversee our MEL approach, develop and deliver new learning and funding partnerships and contribute to our portfolio of cross departmental learning activities – working to deliver research activities or supporting our team of in-house researchers through providing steer and quality assurance.

The Role

Based either at our Head Office in Basingstoke, Hampshire, remotely or hybrid, you will lead and manage the development and delivery of income growth from corporate partnerships.

In this fast-paced and exciting role, you’ll be proactively identifying and securing new partnerships, whilst nurturing and maintaining existing relationships. Working with the wider engagement and fundraising team, you will ensure donors receive the best experience and an integrated and joined up fundraising plan is delivered.

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to cover parental leave. 

The successful candidate will have accountability for several key areas of operational delivery of BITC’s programmes across England, Scotland and Wales. This role will ensure the high quality and consistency of performance through these aspects of operational delivery and development, working closely with businesses, internal stakeholders and external partners. This role is responsible for leading and managing a high-performing team, delivering programmes and contractual obligations across their patch. The post holder will lead on driving programme/contractual performance (both KPI’s and financial) motivating and inspiring the team.  They will also have responsibility for ensuring continued funding from key partners and securing new income; monitoring and reporting on this important activity as it contributes to BITC's vision within a set geographical area or programme/project areas.

The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience of:

· Managing the delivery of contract and programmes to meet contractual obligations

· Working with business, schools and/or community organisations to create beneficial relationships

· Providing leadership, motivation and development for a dispersed team to achieve excellent results for businesses and beneficiaries

· Securing funding for impact programmes

This is a fixed term contract for approximately 10 months to cover parental leave. 

The location is flexible - candidates can be based at home or at their nearest BITC office.

The salary level for this role reflects the contractual location and the programme funding.  The salary range is £33,120 to 41,000 per annum (regional) and £36,225 to £44,000 London office based. 

The role is full-time - 35 hours per week.

About the role 

The Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for ensuring effective and appropriate testing of new or modified applications, assisting the delivery of high-quality internal and externally-facing systems and digital experiences at Parkinson’s UK. 

You will develop the charity’s QA capabilities and frameworks, provide testing advice, design test strategies and plans, and provide hands-on testing for high risk projects and product releases. You will be responsible for the management of testing resources and ensure that projects have the access at the right time.

You’ll collaborate with the other professionals to develop complementary practices across the solution development life cycle, establishing quality assurance standards and nurturing good practice across the organisation.

What you’ll do:

• Establish and embed processes, standards and templates for all testing work, including functional testing, system integration testing, regression testing and support subject matter experts with user acceptance testing. 
• Develop an organisational QA strategy and operating model that aligns with demand and resources risk appetite.
• Continuously improve our test practices, seeking to build a community of practice with peers in the field.
• Determine functional and non-functional testing required for new projects or product improvements, liaising with business analysts, project and product managers to ensure that testing is properly catered for in delivery plans.
• Support the shaping of solution requirements, acceptance criteria and exit criteria so that testing is built into solution development from the start.
• Plan, design and execute the testing phases of the high risk projects and releases. Support the fixing of issues with re-testing and regression testing.
• Develop and manage test capacity and manage contractors as needed.
• Develop our test analyst and coach others in the organisation to understand and implement good QA practice.

What you’ll bring:

• Recognised testing certification (e.g. ISTQB Foundation) or equivalent experience of the fundamentals of software testing. 
• A strong record in leading the design and execution of software testing and working with the business to deliver UAT. Experience with agile testing and agile development is beneficial. 
• Experience with a risk-based approach to test coverage for product releases and projects. Experience with test automation is beneficial. 
• Experience of delivering the end to end test process from analysis, design and implementation and execution and the creation of high quality test artefacts
• Ability to understand both the technical aspects and business/user needs to define and deliver effective black box testing. 
• Leadership and team management skills
• Comfortable using digital tools to work collaboratively and in a hybrid work setting. 
• An understanding of the non-for profit sector is beneficial.
