The Role
The Opportunity Fund Partnership Development Manager plays a central role in supporting funding opportunities aligned with the objectives of the Opportunity Fund. This role combines relationship-building and programme development to ensure the Opportunity Fund achieves the maximum impact.
This role will be responsible for working closely with the CEO and the Strategy, Research and Engagement team to initially identify possible opportunities for funding, through to managing the relationship with organisations once funding is awarded. This will include remaining in tune with sector insights and development across philanthropy, civil society and public policy.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will be proactive and ambitious, with a real interest in innovation in philanthropy to delivery greater social change. You will have proven experience developing and managing partnerships, with experience of engaging a range of stakeholders including funders, community organisations, and sector experts.
You will have experience of designing or supporting programme delivery with a track record of scoping and delivering research or development projects that inform funding or strategic decisions.

Role Purpose
Winston’s Wish is a digital first organisation leading the way in Digital Transformation across the Bereavement sector. This role is new and exciting and will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our high value fundraising.
As Philanthropy Manager you will be responsible for growing income from major donors and Trusts and Foundations through excellent donor stewardship. Leading a team of committed Trust fundraisers, you will focus on identifying prospective individual donors and foundations and develop lasting relationships with them. You will also support the management of relationships with existing donors, ensuring all donors have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.
Main Responsibilities
Leadership
- To lead and inspire the Philanthropy team fostering a collaborative and high culture that delivers against income and objectives.
- Provide clear and supportive leadership that motivates staff to achieve, develop and grow in their roles.
- Undertake quarterly reviews for all direct reports.
Philanthropy Fundraising
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with high-value donors, ensuring effective solicitation, stewardship, and follow-up to secure significant contributions (six-figure gifts).
- Build and maintain a portfolio of Trust & Grants supporters. Responsible for researching, approaching and developing compelling applications with a focus on ensuring Trusts & Grants provide a long-term, diverse and sustainable income stream.
- Lead the development and stewardship of the Philanthropy board to identify and secure transformational (6-7 figure) gifts and the development of the Business development Board to open opportunities with Corporate Partners.
- Write and design a compelling case for support that is tailored to our High Value audiences.
- Lead on planning and delivering successful high value cultivation events.
- Represent Winston’s Wish at fundraising events and meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- You will identify new major donors and Trusts and Foundations who have the potential to make a significant difference to the lives of grieving children. You will develop and implement cultivation strategies to turn prospects into supporters.
- You will work with the Individual Giving Manager to identify mid-level donors who could be stewarded into the major donor pipeline.
Strategy, Planning and reporting
- You will work alongside the Director of Income Generation to support the development and implementation of a new Philanthropy strategy covering development of a prospect pipeline, building a culture of peer referrals, annual targets and personalised engagement plans.
- Lead on developing and delivering effective stewardship journeys and cultivation plans.
- Produce regular reports on fundraising activity, analysing performance against targets, and identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Work with the Director of Income Generation to develop the annual budget, including leading on monthly performance reports and contributing to quarterly reforecasts and reporting against KPI’s and milestones.
- Undertake research and make use of tools to identify potential High Value partners.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the Director of Income Generation, SLT and other teams to maximise high value fundraising opportunities.
- Where appropriate, you will involve Winston’s Wish senior staff and the Board of Trustees to make the most of opportunities to engage and build relationships with existing and potential supporters.

This role will be a key strategic advisor and responsible for high-level planning conversations to WaterAid UKs largest income generating Directorate: Communications and Fundraising. As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of fundraising team. This is a high-profile role, enabling Water Aid UK’s senior leadership to deliver and support the delivery of WaterAid’s ambitious programmatic activity.

The key duties of the Senior Finance Business Partner are as follows:
- Owning relationships with key senior stakeholders within the Communications and Fundraising Directorate.
- Regularly engaging on strategic long-term decision making and providing relevant financial data to key decision makers.
- Work with the directorate to build realistic and detailed financial plans.
- Own directorate specific timelines for delivering financial forecasts and budgets.
- Work with Head of Management Accounting to build a consolidated picture for WaterAid UKs performance for the Executive Director Team.
- Collaborate on the building and maintenance of automated reporting for directorate on PowerBI.
- Regularly engage with budget holders to ensure that spending and income is on track against plans.
- Ensure CRM data is complete and accurately reflected in the month end close position.
- Oversee the monthly recording of both unrestricted and restricted income streams.
The successful candidate will have:
- Completed a professional accounting qualification or be part-qualified with relevant professional experience.
- Experience of strategic partnering senior stakeholders (ideally at Executive Director level) along with senior leadership teams.
- Ability to analyse large quantities of data with a view to identifying trends and key drivers.
- Adaptability to build effective working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and work in a collaborative way.

What the job involves
Join our Customer Engagement and Experience team as our Data Imports Manager, where every day you’ll be helping to make sure our supporters’ donations and personal details are handled with care and accuracy.
You’ll manage the Data Import Team, who process around £30 million in donations each year and safely manage details for about 180,000 new supporters. It’s a role right at the heart of our operations, keeping our systems running smoothly and ensuring supporter data is looked after properly.
Day to day, you’ll manage the flow of financial and personal data into our CRM, whether it’s from third-party suppliers or our website. You’ll own the use of our automation tools to ensure data imports are efficient and accurate.
You’ll support your team, respond to data queries, and as the product owner of our bespoke ETL tool work closely with developers, designers and data teams to deliver high quality solutions. There’s plenty of scope to spot ways to improve how we work, reducing manual processes and making things quicker and smarter without compromising quality.
Alongside this, you’ll produce regular reports to keep things on track, such as weekly/monthly reconciliation reports for Finance, and oversee tasks such as creating our Gift Aid claim. You’ll also play a key part in developing and monitoring KPIs, making sure we’re hitting our goals and delivering a reliable, accurate service.

Process-driven and detail-focused, you’ll take a proactive approach to improving the way we work, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
Excellent communication skills are essential, you’ll be confident having open, honest conversations to protect the integrity of our data, and able to influence decisions when it counts.
You’ll have experience managing and coaching a team, supporting people to achieve great results while developing their skills and confidence.
Ideally, you’ll also have a good understanding of charity law relating to fundraising, Gift Aid, data and information management, along with experience of customer relationship databases, particularly Raiser's Edge.

OPERATIONS MANAGER - ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Operations Manager is a key support for the church’s leadership and heads the staff team providing management over key operational and missional areas of the church’s activities.
This leadership role supports the ethos and ministries of the church and its mission to be a church for the community - discovering Jesus, sharing God’s love, and caring for those in need.
A vital aim for our church’s work in the local community is that our staff relationships, our Venue ministry, our Christian hospitality and how we use and share our building should all reflect God’s character - showing compassion, generosity, and kindness.
The role has a lot of different components, so we’re looking for someone who sees all aspects of this job as an expression of the church’s mission to proclaim the Good News and will facilitate and serve the congregation, the staff and the volunteer teams as they creatively explore ways to express our Christian ethos through the life and ministries of the church. This therefore requires that they are someone who has a mature Christian faith.
They will need to be a “servant“ leader who is mentally agile, energetic, able to schedule and prioritise, a good delegator, a team player, a quick learner and capable of taking initiatives, with a healthy understanding of self-care - we’re not looking for a “hero”, but someone who can work sustainability.
Leadership:
- Work closely with the church leadership team to support the trustees, staff and congregation in the development of church vision, ethos, mission and ministries.

Building Management:

- Coordinate with the Estate Manager to develop long-term maintenance plans for the common parts areas of the building.

Compliance and Legal Administration:
Provide effective management, administration, organisation, and compliance with UK laws, for:
- The maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment.
- Safeguarding, equality and inclusion.
- HR matters including safe recruitment, induction, training and employee development.

- Matters relating to Westbourne Grove CIO charity’s Trust Deeds, Constitution and Church Rules, and leasehold responsibilities.
- Requirements as a registered charity (CIO) including timely submission of reports to the Charity Commission.
- Develop and implement policies, risk assessments and safe working procedures and keep them regularly updated and reviewed. Ensure policies and safe working practices are adhered to.
- Provide adequate information, training and supervision to ensure employees and volunteers are competent to do their work.
- Lead in communications with the freeholder, the management company, the estate manager, and church tenants. Oversee any necessary legal input for decision-making and work closely with the WGC Trustees, and external organisations on decisions relating to the common parts of the building.
- Keep administrative records. Provide reports for the Trustees.
Administrative Services and Support:
- Provide administrative support for the Ministers. Develop and maintain administrative, organisational, communications systems and record keeping procedures for the church’s general administration. Maintain membership and constitutional records.
- Administrate the church's IT infrastructure, broadband, phone systems, and utilities accounts and ensure they meet the operational needs of the building and its ministries.
- Assist the Venue Manager to develop and maintain suitable and effective systems, strategy, pricing, communications, contract management, staffing and customer relations.
- Develop the church’s visibility and profile in the community using the church’s website, social media, ArtSpace, and missional displays and exhibitions, ensuring these align with the church’s ethos and mission.
Financial Oversight:
- Oversee provision of financial management information to Leadership team and Trustees, including budgeting, salaries, financial reports, end-of-year statements. Support them in developing financial strategies and policies.
- Oversee the accurate functioning of church financial systems, controls and procedures. Monitor and administrate reserves and investments.
- Ensure WGC's financial practices comply with UK charity regulations. Assist with the filing of the accounts and annual report to the Charity Commission.
Provide financial oversight, management, and support for:
- Venue ministry finances, pricing and strategy
- Finance Administration - ensure all financial records, payroll, pension administration, invoices, and reports are accurate and timely. Authorise payments.
- Manage the buildings budget including liaising with the Estate Manager regarding common parts expenditure.
- Financial interactions with lease and licence holders including new leases, rent reviews, break clauses and lease renewals, insurance contributions.

In this new role, you will contribute to enhancing the finance function within a growing and dynamic international charitable foundation. The role will enable you to work and continue your professional development across many aspects of the finance function.
You will play an important part in our finance team’s further growth and professionalisation as Mission 44 extends its reach as a charity working in multiple countries. You will have the opportunity to gain further hands-on experience in driving our day-to-day finance processes, while also leading key projects to enhance our systems and put in place effective financial management of our new US entity.
This role forms part of our Operations Team, currently comprising our Chief Operating Officer, our Head of Finance and Operations (HoFO), our Chief of Staff, our People and Culture Manager and our Operations Officer. A key part of your role will be acting as finance business partner to our other teams - impact, fundraising and communications - and demonstrating a customer service mindset in helping them achieve their objectives.
We’re looking for a finance professional, newly-qualified or working towards a chartered accountant qualification, wanting to develop their skills and career in a comprehensive finance role and contribute to our mission of helping young people thrive.
Roles and Responsibilities
Accounting (40%)
- Oversee day-to-day transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, for both the UK charity and the newly created US charity
- Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records of accounting evidence for all transactions are maintained
- Monitor cashflow
- Support the HoFO in the month-end process
- Oversee and control monthly payroll with external payroll provider
- Oversee and control VAT returns with external accountants
- Check monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Develop the purchase order system
Financial Planning & Analysis (35%)
- Support the HoFO in the preparation of the monthly management accounts
- Control all accounts payable in dialogue with budget holders
- Finance business partnering with budget holders and the Senior Leadership Team
- Control and account for the use of restricted funds, in alignment with donor requirements and with the Impact team
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to support forecasting and income tracking
Statutory accounts and audit (10%)
- Support the HoFO in the year-end processes
- Support the HoFO in the preparation of statutory accounts, supervising outsourced accountants
- Support audit requests
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, including charity-specific requirements
Operations (15%)
- Responsible for the financial management of grant payments, in coordination with Grant Managers and Grant Budget Holders
- Drive good practice in procurement and manage the relationship with suppliers
- Support the wider Ops team in ad hoc projects and activities
Skills and experience
Essential
- Newly qualified or part qualified, working towards a chartered accountant qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Able to be hands-on in a small finance team
- Able to drive relationships with outsourced accountants
- Fluent in using spreadsheets for financial information
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to clearly explain complex financial data and concepts to non-finance staff and stakeholders to support decision-making
- Strong critical thinker with keen attention to detail
- Experience of project management and knowledge of project management principles
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably within the non-profit sector
- A passion for and deep understanding of Mission 44’s values

- Experience working with Xero
- Experience in a grant-giving organisation
- Experience of working in an international organisation
- Experience of working in a start-up or rapid-growth organisation
- Knowledge of Charity Statement Of Recommended Practice (SORP)

Operation Christmas Child UK (OCC) has implemented a strategic volunteer ministry, investing in teams of volunteers who will multiply themselves and hugely extend the reach of OCC’s mission.
OCC is the world’s largest shoebox appeal where Samaritan’s Purse, together with local churches here and overseas, distributes from the UK 1/4 million gift-filled shoeboxes annually to children in need overseas and in so doing demonstrates God’s love in a tangible way while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.
A resourceful and energetic Regional Manager is needed to recruit, select, equip, and lead teams of volunteers throughout the 32 London boroughs.
You will be passionate about developing others towards highly effective ministry, teamwork and increased personal competency.
You will also directly engage churches to participate in OCC in areas not yet covered by Connect volunteers. A special opportunity will be engaging London churches that have partnered with our sister ministry, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for the June 2025 God Loves You Tour London.
You will be confident to take initiative with people and projects and also have good administrative and organisational skills. You will also enjoy envisioning the numerous volunteers who participate in the OCC shoebox appeal each year.
You will enthusiastically support the Christian purposes of OCC and Samaritan’s Purse and be committed to the value of well-equipped volunteers and to developing them further. Candidates will have proven people and project management and administrative experience in the workplace and be educated to A levels or ideally Degree level.
This role is based in region, and so prospective candidates should currently live in the region and provide their own transport for which defined expenses will be paid.
