Today, there are over 40 million slaves globally – a quarter of whom are children. In Nepal alone, we estimate almost 100,000 children are trapped in hazardous, exploitative labour.

Child Rescue Nepal exists to change that. We rescue children, keep them safe and reunite them with their families – and we've already helped over 1,000 children find their way home. But there's so much more to do, and we want you to help us do it.

Trustees, including a treasurer, are needed for a leading charity helping people with dissociative disorders. 

CDS UK (Clinic for Dissociative Studies) is a specialist service offering assessments and treatment for people with dissociative disorders and an independent charitable provider to the NHS.

CDS provides diagnosis, outpatient treatment, clinical supervision, consultancy and training all over the UK. We also participate in research and education, contributing to what we hope is a greater understanding of dissociative disorders.

Dissociative disorders typically arise in response to extreme and repetitive trauma and/or abuse in early childhood. Dissociation can be a survival mechanism and adaptive response to overwhelming and traumatic experiences, enabling an individual to endure life events that no one person could be expected to manage without a severe impact on their wellbeing. Trustees are central to ensuring that CDS provides the best possible help for extremely vulnerable clients.

Job Description

Kent Sexual Assault & Abuse Service is dedicated to providing safe spaces where survivors of all forms of sexual violence across Kent and Medway, can access the high-quality, trauma-informed, specialist practical and therapeutic support that they need to recover from the impact of sexual violence and rebuild their lives. Having won and mobilised the Police & Crime Commissioner Kent Wide Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)and Trauma Therapy contracts in April 2026, we are keen to extend our trustee board to ensure high quality, robust governance for our charity and support for the KSAAS team during this time of expansion. 

Key Functions of the Trustee Board Include:

• Ensuring compliance to KSAAS’s governing document (constitution), charity law and any other relevant legislation and regulations.

Knowledge and Skills

The knowledge and skills that are beneficial to our charity are included in the recruitment pack, but in particular, we are keen to hear from individuals who have experience of business management and development, human resources, finance management, fundraising, marketing and communications, IT, social media, ISVA or counselling work and safeguarding.  

Commitment

The time commitment of a KSAAS trustee is estimated at 2-4 hours per month, comprising:

• Six 2 hour board meetings per year (normally online in the evening, but some in person in Canterbury with prior arrangement)

• Attending the annual general meeting (AGM)

• Time to read and reflect on board papers & AGM Papers

• Attending an annual trustee away day and occasional training sessions

• Attending subcommittees when required

The KSAAS Trustee Board

The Business Development Lead will work closely with the CEO and Business Development Trustee to build a sustainable pipeline of corporate partners.

The role will focus on developing relationships that can generate:

• CSR and corporate sponsorship;

Person specification

We are looking for someone who ideally has:

• experience in business development, partnerships, fundraising, CSR or corporate engagement;
• strong knowledge of banking, financial services or professional services;
• existing corporate networks or confidence building relationships with senior decision-makers;
• experience developing and progressing a sales or fundraising pipeline;
• excellent written and verbal communication;

Who we are

The Roots Foundation Wales is an award-winning charity based in Swansea. We support young people in care as they transition to independent living and into adulthood and we also support foster and kinship carers. Our beautiful centre was featured on BBC's DIY SOS and Children in Need in 2017 and we are proud of the community we have built here.

With the help of our young people and carers we have developed a new 3-year Strategic Plan and in 2027 we will be opening a new house with further accommodation for young people.

What we are looking for

As a Trustee you will:

• Attend online board meetings every two months (usually Tuesday evening, 2 hours)

EQUAL AQUA is an award-winning NGO providing equal access to water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in Uganda. Equal Aqua is managed by an international team of 30+ volunteers, based mainly in the UK and Uganda, but spanning over 10 countries.

We are looking to expand and diversify our team of volunteers – seeking candidates with knowledge and skills in various fields, and a deep passion for our cause.

Fundraising Manager (volunteer) - Role and Responsibilities

• Oversee implementation of Equal Aqua's fundraising strategy in line with business objectives, and the vision and values of EAU;
• Lead an international team of volunteers to execute the fundraising strategy, delegating and managing responsibilities as appropriate;
• Lead EAU Fundraising team to raise income through multiple channels: grant and charitable foundation applications, corporate sponsorship, individual and community giving, and creative fundraising events;
• Manage a portfolio of existing supporters, providing exceptional supporter care and building relationships, stewarding and nurturing existing donors;
• Improve supporter retention and maximise donors’ lifetime value to EAU;
• Monitor developments in the funding world/landscape and identify opportunities to bid for funding.
• Be a key player in preparing the annual budget, tracking income and expenditure, and achieving the annual targets agreed for individual giving, mid-level giving, and wider voluntary funding.
• Report to the Equal Aqua Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.

Business Functions

• Work independently and proactively, working flexibly during peaks and troughs of EAU’s activities, while prioritising work to meet deadlines;
• Support reporting to Equal Aqua’s Executive Committee, relevant subcommittees, and Board of Trustees;
• Attend EAU team meetings, committee meetings, and (where appropriate) Board of Trustees;
• Contribute to EAU’s external reporting, providing materials for project reports to grant-givers and

*Please note that all members of Equal Aqua work remotely and on a voluntary basis. We ask that volunteers contribute on average 1 day per week and commit to the role for 12 months as a minimum.

Interviews will take place via MS Teams where you will meet an informal panel of volunteers.

As the Guild has grown in the past few years, our risk management, financial controls, and body of policies and procedures have also matured. Following the scheduled departure of two trustees earlier this year, the Guild’s Finance Subcommittee is seeking to welcome an independent member with relevant skills to attend meetings and advise on financial matters to help us make good decisions effectively.

This voluntary role supports trustees and staff by providing independent insight, constructive scrutiny, and professional expertise on financial planning, budgeting, risk, and long-term sustainability. As a guest to Finance Subcommittee meetings, you will review financial information, contribute to discussions, and help ensure resources are used effectively to maximise our charitable impact for students.

The Finance Subcommittee currently consists of two elected Officers, two external Trustees, and may include a student trustee in future. Papers and reports are ordinarily provided by the Guild Director, who is a non-voting guest to Subcommittee meetings. The Subcommittee normally meets four times per year for around two hours.

Students’ Union experience is not essential, but we are seeking a volunteer able to operate within our distinctive context. We are particularly interested in applicants with experience in finance, accounting, audit, charity governance, or business management.

Overview

The Rebuild with Hope Foundation is a fast growing and impactful charity supporting those facing barriers to work. Due to our continued growth we are looking to increase and diversify our Board membership. We are looking to appoint Trustees, no former experience is required as training will be provided. We are also looking to appoint a Treasurer a long with an experienced Chair of the Board. Role Description

Board Members are jointly and severally responsible for the overall governance and strategic direction of the charity, its financial health, probity of its activities, developing the organisation’s aims, objectives, and goals in accordance with the Constitution, legal and regulatory guidelines. All Board Members should be aware of and understand their individual and collective responsibilities and should not be overly reliant on one or more Members in any aspect of the governance of the charity.

Treasurer Specific Duties

• Liaising, where applicable with the CEO (or other appropriate member of staff)
• Supporting the Board to monitor the financial position of the charity
• Creating in conjunction with relevant financial senior instruments for the control of charity assets
• Ensuring that staff create sound financial instruments for the control of charity assets
• Advising on the financial implications the Charity's Strategic Plan
• Ensuring that the annual accounts are compliant with the current charities’ SORP
• Ensuring close working relationships with the internal audit team and any Committees of the Board
• Ensuring that sound financial management is maintained and ensuring expenditure is in line with the charity’s objects
• Acting as a counter signatory on charity cheques and any applications and receipts of funding (if mandated)

Trustee Duties

• Ensuring the charity complies with legislative and regulatory requirements and acts within the confines of the Constitution and its charitable objects.
• Acting in the best interest of the charity, beneficiaries, and future beneficiaries.
• Promoting and developing the charity to help it grow and maintain its public benefit.
• Maintaining sound financial management and control of the charity’s resources.
• Ensuring a fully effective and appropriate system recruitment, for appointment the and monitoring of the work and activities for the CEO and Senior Management team.
• Ensuring the effective and efficient administration of the charity and its resources, striving for best practice in good governance.
• Maintaining absolute confidentiality about all aspects of Trustees’ business

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager / Accountant to join our international charity on a voluntary basis and help strengthen our financial management as we grow.

Working closely with senior management, you will provide financial oversight, guidance and reporting, helping us make informed decisions and ensure our resources are managed responsibly.

What you'll do:

• Oversee accounting and financial reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
• Prepare clear financial reports for senior management and trustees
• Monitor income, expenditure and financial controls
• Provide financial advice and support strategic decision-making
• Help develop strong financial systems and processes

What we're looking for:

• Strong professional experience in finance, accounting or a similar role
• Excellent analytical and organisational skills
• Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office
• Able to communicate financial information clearly
• Reliable, proactive and comfortable working remotely
• Charity/NGO experience is desirable but not essential

Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA are welcome, but relevant experience is more important.
