An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a new Operations Manager / Deputy Chief Executive for Stepping Stones North Wales as we celebrate our 40th Anniversary.

Stepping Stones is a charity based in North Wales that offers free individual counselling, support, psychoeducational courses and resources as well as group work to adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. We also support family members, carers and friends.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about the charity sector and who, working with our CEO and with a dynamic team of Trustees, can ensure we operate effectively and can support the delivery of our strategy. The successful candidate will be comfortable with looking at ways to strengthen our processes and systems, so we have even more impact.

Stepping Stones North Wales demonstrates respect for, and embraces the use of, the Welsh Language through all our activities and services. We recognise the need to be appropriately responsive to the linguistic needs of Welsh speakers and we are fully committed to meeting the requirements of the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011 (revised 2021). The ability to communicate effectively in both Welsh and English is desirable for this role although we will welcome applicants who demonstrate a commitment to learning Welsh (which we’ll fully support you in doing) and championing its use at every opportunity.

The position can either be full time (35 hours per week), with a salary of £38,296, or pro-rata 28 hours for the right candidate.

Our preference is for the successful candidate to spend three days each week working from our Wrexham office, with the balance being a home-working option. However, we can consider further flexibility and this can be discussed during the application process.

A formal sift will take place in the final week of June. Interviews for candidates who are successful at this stage will take place during week commencing Monday 8th July.

Job description:

• Responsibility for working with the CEO to develop, implement and monitor the Strategic Plan, the yearly Business Plan and associated processes/documents (policies, guidance, risk register and budgets).
• Responsibility for working with the CEO to increase our outreach through strategic communications and through stakeholder mapping/engagement, including with elected officials across North Wales.
• Responsibility for maintaining good working relationships with commissioners and other funding bodies and for supporting the CEO and trustees in promoting Stepping Stones with current and potential future funders within the statutory third and corporate sectors.
• Responsibility for working closely with colleagues and trustees to network and to maintain an appropriate level of awareness of Stepping Stones’ activities amongst the caring professions, across the charitable sector and in communities across North Wales.
• Accountability for supporting the ongoing recruitment of, and line management of, a number of nominated operational staff within the charity.
• Responsibility for ensuring the financial probity of the charity. Working with the CEO and Finance & Business Support Manager.
• Responsibility for maintaining good working relationships with commissioners and other funding bodies and to promote Stepping Stones with current and potential future funders within the statutory, third and corporate sectors.
• Responsibility for ensuring that all appropriate training and processes are in place with regards to key government standards around Safeguarding, Health and Safety and GDPR in partnership with the Clinical Lead.
• Responsibility for working with the CEO, key staff and trustees to implement an improved and modernised service for our clients, partners and trustees through innovation.
• Responsibility for working with the CEO to draft the Annual Report, and all other statutory reports, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Responsibility for ensuring that the charity has an efficient secretarial/clerical service managed by the Office Support Team.
• Responsibility for drafting relevant communications for clients or dealing with queries or complaints along with the Clinical Lead as appropriate.
• Deputising for the CEO during periods of leave or as required/agreed with the CEO.

The Ageing Well Functional Fitness MOT project is aimed at supporting mild to moderately frail residents of the Frognal area of Bexley with falls prevention, improvement of functional wellness and to provide signposting for sessions to enhance functional fitness within this defined area.  The project will be working to engage with people who may be experiencing health challenges but are not accessing support, therefore engaging with them prior to a crisis.

Your role will be to create and lead a network of organisations and individuals to deliver functional fitness "MOTs" and who can provide support for functional fitness.  You will also provide a regular link with the local population which could be utilised by other services and campaigns such as cancer prevention or dementia awareness. You will work to strengthen the network of community groups, statutory services and businesses working together to deliver improvements to health and wellbeing. You will engage with local residents to gather feedback about what is important to them and involve people in the development of additional health and wellbeing support.

QAC is a charity that runs a college, supported living (known as Independence Plus) and community services for young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities.

The role will involve travel in he UK, Europe and Internationally,  often at short notice to attend donor meetings and programme visits approximately 20% of the time.

What you'll do:

As the Individual Giving Manager, you'll execute the agreed strategy for soliciting cash gifts from individual donors. Crafting compelling narratives showcasing the impact of their contributions will be central to your role. Here's what you'll be up to:

· Strategic Fundraising: Develop and implement overarching strategies to secure cash donations from individual donors. Drive income and repeat gifts to meet annual budget goals, utilising your expertise in direct mail.

· Supporter Engagement: Understand our supporters inside out, advocating for their interests and inspiring them to engage and donate. Foster repeat giving from existing warm supporters, action takers and social media followers.

· Campaign Management: Take charge of managing and expanding our raffle, merchandising, and fundraising appeals both offline and online. Execute a dynamic schedule of fundraising campaigns to prompt financial donations and boost average donation values.

The Role

We are seeking a driven, talented, energetic and creative individual for the role of Director of Development. This is a one-year maternity cover post.

In this role, you will work closely with and report to the Principal and Chief Executive and will be responsible for implementing and delivering a comprehensive and coherent fundraising strategy for LAMDA.

You will lead and deliver major gift campaigns, including the biennial Gala, to ensure the sustainability and success of LAMDA as the world’s leading centre for drama training. With the ability to work collegiately and collaboratively with all staff and stakeholders, you will have demonstrable experience in implementing and delivering a successful major fundraising strategy.

To be successful, you will be confident and proactive, a verbal and written communicator and a skilled networker with a very strong track record of relationship building. Additionally, you will have proven experience of working in a senior fundraising role in the arts, higher education or charity sector.

In this role, you will work 35 hours per week (9.30 am – 5.30 pm), Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to work outside these hours to attend events and productions in accordance with business needs.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Philanthropy Manager who is a relationship builder with a growth mindset.

Position: CE310 Philanthropy Manager

Location: Home-based, UK Nationwide. However, occasional travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

The Role

As Philanthropy Manager, you will be contributing towards the ambitious plans to further increase reach and impact over the next three years. This role presents an opportunity to manage and grow the philanthropic income, including leading on the development of the Major Donor programme/s.

You will play a central role in making stroke the investment priority it needs to be by shaping the small but promising philanthropy programme, managing a portfolio of committed supporters as well as new prospects. You’ll also scope and test new philanthropy products to drive sustained giving. 

Working within the High-Value Engagement Team, you will build relationships with loyal and prospective donors, raising vital funds to power the Association’s work to support people affected by stroke.

Key responsibilities will include:

· Lead the development of the philanthropic programme/s, using knowledge of sectoral trends and best-practice acquisition, cultivation, and stewardship strategies to reach personal and collective financial targets.

· Submit proposals in order to secure and renew income from major donors.

· Provide the necessary financial information to the Head of Philanthropy and Trusts so that he can prepare budgets and forecasts in a timely manner.

About You

Reporting into the Head of Philanthropy and Trusts – we are looking for someone with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise a diverse workload. You will have:

· Experience of philanthropic fundraising for a charitable organisation or equivalent, with a track record of securing £50k+ donations.

· Experience of building and developing effective relationships in a professional setting.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· A growth mindset, and a proven ability to deliver or exceed targets.

FUNDRAISING OFFICER - EXPERIENCE ESSENTIAL

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

 We are seeking an experienced fundraiser with a passion for our mission to equip our organisation with the financial resources needed to meet our objectives as we work to scale our fundraising by growing our charitable income across all funding streams, maximising supporter engagement and fulfilling fundraising operational duties

This is a new role, joining a small but growing Fundraising and Events Team, and having a real input into our plans and strategies for the future. Reporting to the Head of Operations, the successful candidate will oversee most fundraising income generation activity.

The Fundraising Officer will build positive relationships to secure significant income and develop new relationships with groups, business and individuals, bringing in regular and targeted income through regular donations, fundraising campaigns and events. The ideal candidate will have fundraising experience covering several areas including Individual Giving; Fundraising Appeals/Campaigns as well as experience in managing the operational aspects of fundraising (database, compliance with codes of practice and fundraising regulations, creating fundraising campaigns and ‘asks’). Through this, you will assist the whole organisation in our commitment to showing kindness, raising self-belief, and inspiring hope for the future in the individuals we support. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Fundraising Overview

1. Develop, deliver, and monitor a fundraising strategy for The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Maximise the contributions and connections with local business and individuals.
3. Coordinate all appeals including The Big Walk across all income and media streams.
4. Research and utilise new fundraising streams and opportunities such as Payroll Giving, Legacies (with help from The Legacy Officer), in Memory Giving and Online Giving.

Supporter Engagement and Stewardship

1. Establish systems, procedures, proactive stewardship, and an engagement programme to provide the highest levels of service to The Trust’s supporters.
2.  To be responsible for thanking all supporters and managing a supporter engagement journey – ensuring that effective processes are in place and driving levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
3.  Act as the ‘first point of call’ for all fundraising volunteers and maintaining excellent communication with supporters throughout these processes, in conjunction with other teams.
4.  Develop and implement Fundraising groups across the UK

Database Management

1. To ensure efficient, appropriate data capture and analysis for the purpose of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications.
2.  Maintain data management standards, assisting with the implementation of processes and policies ensuring best practice is followed.
3.  Train other staff members to support general fundraising.
4.  Ensure all records, fundraising data and fundraising administration is kept up to date and all information is GDPR-compliant.
5.  Reconcile fundraising income with the Finance Manager, including Gift Aid claims, missed, failed payments and Direct Debit cancellations.

 Individual Giving

1. Develop an Individual Giving and Acquisition strategy that drives growth for individual giving across multi-channel campaigns and initiatives.
2. Lead the growth of CT100 monthly giving.
3. Work with the Press and PR Manager on fundraising communication and to ensure donors are kept up to date on the difference their support makes.

Fundraising Appeals and Campaigns

1. Work alongside teams and PR and Communications Manager to promote The Cinnamon Trust.
2. Establish a corporate fundraising strategy with an accompanying narrative, alongside the PR and Communications Manager.
3. Tailor campaigns and appeals for different audiences and supporters alongside PR and Communications Manager to target corporates; smaller local businesses and individuals

Staff and Volunteers

1. Support with recruiting fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
2.  Work closely with Head of Operations and PR and Communications Manager  to ensure all fundraising is coordinated.

Wider organisational responsibilities

1. Read and adhere to all policies and procedures.
2. Lead on applications to charitable trusts or statutory bodies with support from the Head of Operations.
3. Undertake responsibilities associated with being a member of The Cinnamon Trust
