About the role

Reporting in to the Supporter Data Manager, the CRM Business Analyst will drive continuous improvement of the CRM solution through business analysis and automated testing, working collaboratively with the Supporter Data Manager and CRM Technical Lead to optimise efficiency and functionality.

The post-holder will engage with stakeholders and deliver strategic insights into As-Is and To-Be process models, data structures, and interdependencies, translating findings into concise agile requirements that enhance operational effectiveness.

Some of the main responsibilities of the CRM Business Analyst include:

• Proactively identify opportunities to optimise CRM system and articulate proposed solutions to the Supporter Data Manager and wide business users.
• Implement best-practice Business Analysis processes, tools, and methodologies to strengthen capability and drive meaningful change.
• Act as a mentor empowering and upskilling team members, embedding best practice business analysis and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
• Critically evaluate risks through the requirements gathering process, collaborating with teams to develop effective solutions that ensure project success.
• Ensure the accurate translation of business requirements into actionable specifications, prioritising high-impact initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. • Provide key input and support for the continuous improvement of the Agile development process (SCRUM) by actively engaging in all ceremonies.
• Identify opportunities for how Dynamics365 can enable and improve business processes, ensuring technology solutions align with strategic objectives.
• Ensure Jira tickets are regularly updated to reflect accurate project progress.
• Extract and analyse data from multiple sources, applying SQL and other analytical techniques to inform decision-making. Build, configure, and execute automated test scripts to optimise performance and mitigate risks.
• Analyse and develop reporting requirements, providing key insights that strengthen the organisation’s business intelligence architecture. 

About you

Who we are looking for:

Essential:

• Significant experience or professional qualification in Business Analysis.
• Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst covering Agile requirements gathering and specification, data modelling and mapping, process re-engineering, and reporting.
• Developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Comfortable working with different stakeholder groups.
• Experience of applying industry standard process mapping techniques (e.g. BPMN, UML) to support process re-engineering.
• Experience of configuring and supporting the development of Dynamics365 CRM solutions.
• Experience of using automated testing tools such as EasyRepro.
• Creating end-user acceptance testing scripts, supporting the UAT process. Using SQL to extract data required to undertake analysis and investigation activities.
• Highly developed knowledge of Dynamics365 entity architecture.
• Applying different risk management techniques.
• Highly developed working knowledge of Jira.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Visio or other process mapping tools.

Desirable:

• Professional qualification in testing and experience of applying different test frameworks.
• Experience of Azure specific application development.
• Experience of writing technical documentation.
• Configuring and managing SharePoint sites.

Data Analyst

Fixed term contract until 31 December 2026

Salary: £34,800 to £36,800 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience

About the role:

An established scientific membership organisation is seeking a Data Analyst to join a small, specialist data insights team working at the heart of evidence, insight and impact.
This role plays a key part in understanding the health of a scientific discipline and supporting strategic decision making through high quality data analysis, reporting and visualisation. You will work closely with technical colleagues and internal stakeholders to turn complex and sometimes messy data into clear, compelling insight that informs programmes, projects and policy activity.

This is a fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2026, ideally starting as soon as possible.

What you will be doing

• Working with internal and external datasets to extract, clean, analyse and interpret data
• Using Python for data extraction, cleaning and analysis, and Power BI to create clear, impactful dashboards and visualisations
• Designing, running and refining data workflows to support organisational projects and priorities
• Producing reports and evidence to agreed timescales for expert and non expert audiences
• Supporting large scale data analytics projects and contributing to shared team outputs
• Improving data quality, data flows and approaches to data integration
• Ensuring best practice in data security, governance and management
• Providing insight and evidence to colleagues across the organisation to support decision making

What we are looking for:

You will bring a strong aptitude for working with data and a genuine interest in using evidence to inform real world decisions. You enjoy collaborating with others, take ownership of your work and are comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience working with data and data structures
• Experience converting incomplete or unstructured information into usable datasets
• Experience presenting findings clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
• Experience measuring progress against project targets or success criteria
• Experience using data analysis and visualisation tools, including Python for analysis and Power BI for dashboarding, or equivalent tools
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• A proactive, dependable and collaborative approach to work

Experience of cloud based data storage or workflow automation tools is desirable.

Woodgreen Pets Charity has been helping pets and their owners live happier, healthier lives for over 100 years. From rehoming and community support to education and advocacy, our work is powered by dedicated people and a data-led approach.

We're seeking an Analytics Engineer who wants to help define how Woodgreen understands its performance. This role focuses on developing and maintaining trusted semantic models and consistent KPI definitions within the Microsoft platform, ensuring reporting is reliable, scalable and aligned across the charity. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, the Senior BI Analyst and Woodgreen's Data Engineer to ensure models reflect real operational needs, not just technical design. We want someone who enjoys working with people and helping colleagues gain confidence in their data.

Our successful candidate will bring experience designing and building analytical data models on a modern cloud platform, ideally Power BI, Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, with a strong grounding in dimensional modelling principles and semantic layer design. Your SQL and DAX skills will be well-developed, and you'll understand what it takes to build models that are not just technically correct, but genuinely usable and trustworthy at scale.

A key part of this role is maintaining the logic that sit beneath our reporting and making sure these stay consistent and well-documented as the organisation evolves. You'll understand that inconsistent definitions undermine confidence in data, and confidence in data is what we're here to build.

You'll also have an eye on self-serve analytics: designing models and datasets that empower colleagues to answer their own questions rather than creating dependency on the data team. That means thinking about usability and accessibility alongside technical precision and being willing to invest time in helping people understand and trust what they're looking at. You'll be comfortable engaging with stakeholders across the charity to understand their reporting needs, translating those into sound analytical solutions, and communicating clearly throughout.

This role will operate in a hybrid working environment and although much of it can be done remotely our successful candidate must be able to attend our offices near Godmanchester, Cambridgeshire (PE29 2NH) for an average of once or twice a month.

The starting salary for this position is £46,876 - £52,085 per annum depending on experience. In addition, you will receive:

CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) is a growing organisation on a mission to save lives. We have just launched an ambitious five-year strategy, alongside a bespoke Behaviour Change/Engagement Framework and a new Measurement System designed to help us understand and demonstrate the impact we are having. Data is at the heart of how we will get there.

The Opportunity

This is a newly created, senior contract role at an exciting inflection point for CALM. We are building the analytics foundations that will underpin our long-term growth and impact.
 

You will help us embed our new Behaviour Change Framework and Measurement System into practice. And also help strengthen the organisation’s analytics maturity, ensuring our Azure data warehouse and Power BI reporting capabilities are fully utilised and embedded into decision-making.

This is a senior role, but it is also highly hands-on. We are a small organisation and are looking for someone who is equally comfortable shaping strategy, building frameworks, improving infrastructure, and directly delivering analytical work.

Key Responsibilities

Embedding Our Behaviour Change Framework & Measurement System

• Help us put our newly launched Behaviour Change Framework and Measurement System into practice across the organisation

• Support the setting of baselines and targets for our five-year OKRs, and define the year-to-year milestones that will track our progress

• Audit the data we already hold, identify the gaps, and develop new data collection methods where needed

• Design how we report, review, and evaluate against the framework

• Create practical guidelines and clear rules for using the framework and associated survey questions

Building Our Analytics Infrastructure

• Take ownership of our Microsoft Azure Data Warehouse and Power BI environment, and drive meaningful adoption across the organisation

• Build and mature our data pipelines so that all key data sits in one place and is reliable, consistent, and usable

• Oversee the development of scalable data models, reporting structures and analytics processes that provide clear actions

• Deliver high-quality, actionable dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that support decision-making at every level

• Work with external data engineering consultancies where appropriate to accelerate delivery

Setting Us Up for Long-Term Success

• Establish the data and analytics foundations that will support CALM's growth and scale 

• Create sustainable processes, documentation and ways of working that ensure capability and knowledge remain embedded beyond the life of the role

• Develop a practical forward-looking plan for data and analytics at CALM

• Champion data literacy across the organisation, building confidence and capability in the teams around you

Leading & Collaborating

• Lead and manage our Data Analyst, who will report directly into this role.

• Work closely and collaboratively with our Senior Insight Manager to ensure strong alignment between our Insight and Analytics functions

• Engage confidently with senior stakeholders including the CEO, COO and Senior Leadership

Experience

Essential

• Proven experience in a senior data or analytics role, with hands-on delivery experience

• Good understanding of data warehousing, data modelling and analytics best practices

• Strong technical skills across data modelling, SQL, Power BI and modern data platforms

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (ideally Microsoft Azure)

• Practical experience building and maturing analytics capabilities in a growing organisation

• Experience developing reporting frameworks, KPIs and performance measurement approaches

• Knowledge of web analytics tools such as GA4 and CRMs e.g. Salesforce

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• A highly organised and structured approach, with strong attention to documentation and process design

• A collaborative working style and the ability to build strong relationships across a small, mission-driven team

• Experience managing and mentoring junior analysts

• A hands-on, pragmatic mindset with the ability to prioritise effectively and focus on impact

Desirable

• Previous data engineering experience

• Management of AI/ML workflows and predictive analytics projects

• Experience working within a charity, non-profit, or mission-led organisation
