About the role

As our Global Internal Communications & Engagement Lead you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing a comprehensive global strategy for internal communications and employee engagement at WaterAid and work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:

• Set the strategic direction for WaterAid’s internal communications. Drive execution of this strategy to ensure staff are informed and inspired, engaged, empowered and connected to each other and the mission.
• Lead WaterAid’s federation-wide approach to employee engagement, ensuring the use of advanced technology and systems to drive, monitor and maintain WaterAid’s high levels of employee engagement.
• Oversee and lead WaterAid’s federation-wide approach to leadership communications, ensuring alignment with the Global Strategy and strategic priorities. Develop and define what leadership communication is required across the federation to foster an environment of transparency, collaboration and engagement.
• Trusted advisor and strategic internal communications business partner to key members of the Global Executive, specifically the WaterAid Chief Executives, Global Director of WaterAid international and the Executive Director, People (Global Lead for People).
• Serve as a strategic internal communications business partner on key global projects, collaborating closely with colleagues across the global federation.
• Lead on our federation-wide approach to deliver a seamless, integrated and highly positive digital employee experience.
• Ensure WaterAid leverages the most effective digital channels to create a positive employee experience, focusing on impactful communication and engagement across the global organisation.
• Act as a champion for WaterAid’s core values throughout the federation, promoting and embodying these principles to ensure that the global organisational culture authentically reflects them.
• Ensure diversity, equity and empowerment are seamlessly integrated into all internal communications and engagement activities. This includes actively promoting inclusive messaging that reflects the diverse voices and perspectives within the organisation.

Purpose of the role

ZSL is seeking a dynamic and strategic Head of Corporate Partnerships to lead the growth of high-impact corporate fundraising aligned with our mission to restore wildlife and create a world where nature thrives. About You

• Proven experience of strategic corporate partnerships new business, including identifying, engaging, developing and managing strategic corporate partnerships with a track record of delivering income of seven figure and six figure partnerships.
• Previous experience in leading and developing teams, with a strong emphasis on coaching and supporting less experienced staff.
• Strong ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across a complex organisation, engaging with multiple stakeholders who have income generating responsibilities.
• Experience in monitoring and reporting on income and expenditure, ensuring alignment with budgetary plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to and influence senior stakeholders, prospects and partners.

Candidates will have experience of designing and using mixed-methods of service evaluation, ideally within a health-based environment.

This is a brand new role and would suit someone who has excelled in a similar role and can play a big role in defining and shaping the donor engagement strategy. It has been created to support the new fundraising strategy objective to retain over 10k regular donors and to drive deeper engagement with over 30k supporters. You will work as part of the Individual Giving team and maximise supporter engagement through both offline and digital activity. You will have proven experience in managing supporter stewardship campaigns across a broad number of channels as well as setting and managing budgets and meeting KPIs. With experience of fundraising databases, creating supporter journeys and briefing and working with external agencies. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and show initiative, flair and enthusiasm for the work of the Fund.

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). As we believe in the Social Model of Disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working, seeking co-production and co-design from our Disabled members, encouraging and respecting diversity. AoD is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 27 staff, a strong pool of casual staff and volunteers, including many with lived experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers faced by Disabled people.

Action on Disability provides four key services: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, and Independent Living.

The Project

Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.

Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.

Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:

• Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
• Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
• Equity of access and participation in the local community.
• Mitigation of the pandemic’s impact, through building new opportunities.

The Post

We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

• Regular staff prayer meetings, conferences and retreats (one residential)
