About the role

Our Welfare Officers provide direct and impactful welfare support to RAF personnel and their immediate family. As a trusted and confidential source of support, you will assist our service users with challenges they are facing, from mental ill-health, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, financial and cost-of-living concerns, resettlement, housing, childcare, equality issues, bereavement, military discharge or deployment and many more - no day will be the same, as such this is a great opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills within the Welfare sector.

Our intervention is provided with consent on a non-statutory basis, and you will work with and engage our service users to develop appropriate interventions for individual outcomes.

Our service is transitioning to become more accessible and inclusive, digital technology plays a key role in this, as such you will use digital technologies to complement and enhance processes and service user experience.

You will play an active role within the community, promoting the service through the delivery of presentations and representing the service at public engagement events. You will also work closely with RAF welfare teams, local authorities, health, education, civilian agencies, charities and other military organisations to ensure the best outcome for the service user.

This particular Welfare Officer post will deliver services to our service users on site at RAF Northolt and digitally/ virtually to RAF Stations across the UK, therefore this will be a hybrid role with some work onsite and some home working, according to service needs.

About you

To thrive in this role you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to deliver presentations with confidence.

You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have experience of carrying out assessments, preparing plans, monitoring and reviewing outcomes.

There will be some travel required and therefore you will need to be able to drive and have access to your own car.

The Role
This is a great chance to join a busy policy team to work with colleagues on the work the Law Society does to be a legal sector leader on climate change. You will be part of the Private & Commercial Law team, who shape policy in areas that matter to many of our members and firms they work in.

Climate change is a growing policy area. The Law Society is a world leading professional body in this area, producing guidance on how climate change will impact solicitors and the law.

Over the next few years we will do work that:
* supports small firms with guidance and resources to assist decarbonisation and setting net zero strategies,

* develop thought leadership on the impact of climate change on lawyers and the law at a national and global level.

* ensure solicitors are equipped to advise on how climate risk impacts their clients.

Keeping up to date with climate policy and legal developments, you will spot and respond to opportunities for positive reforms to support our members. You will research and analyse the impact of changes on our members, on the clients they advise and provide reliable and well-informed advice and leadership. Often you will prepare written briefings, consultation responses and guidance for internal and external audiences, and occasionally you will give presentations. You will also work with colleagues in other areas of the organisation, such as the commercial and international teams.

What we're looking for
Ability to engage with and influence legal policy development across government, parliament, regulators and the legal profession. Spotting opportunities to develop credible and persuasive policy positions and recommendations.

Have a strong working knowledge of clime change issues. Expertise in how climate change is affecting the legal and/or the professional services sector, or the ability to quickly develop this.

Ability to research and analyse complex legal and climate policy issues and assess their implications for the profession, the rule of law and the business of law.

Ability to assess the different views and needs of the Law Society's 200,000 members and law firms/organisations they work for. Understand that what we produce needs to have a right balance between multiple needs/perspectives.

Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a broad and diverse range of people including colleagues across the Law Society, office holders and members, and external stakeholders at all levels.

My client is a well-recognised independent regulator based in the heart of London and are looking for an Education Quality Administrator on a temporary contract for roughly 5 months, and they operate a hybrid model with office expectations on Thursday.

Your new role

The Education Quality Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support within the Quality Assurance, Monitoring and Improvement team.

• Administrative support where required for our quality assurance processes. This could include, for example:
  • Uploading to our online filing system and formatting documents submitted by organisations, so they are ready for colleagues to analyse.
  • Proofreading documents and uploading them to our online filing systems
  • Proofreading and publishing content for our web pages.

• Administrative support where required for our quality assurance of new medical schools and programmes. This could include, for example:
  • Processing administrative forms for education associates carrying out visits
  • Printing documentation packs and ordering name badges for visits
  • Preparing visit documentation so that education associates can access it online via our document-sharing portal
  • Organising travel, accommodation and meals for staff and education associates attending visits
  • Recording information about the visit on our online systems
  • Administering our records to log and reconcile education associate expense claims for budgeting purposes

• Monitoring our quality reporting system in Siebel (this is the system that logs actions that organisations need to implement to meet our standards called 'quality items'), letting colleagues know when items have been updated by an organisation and need to be reviewed, and reporting on pending and overdue items.
• Meeting support for a wide range of meetings across the team. Support would include:
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Calling for agenda items and populating agendas
  • Noting actions during meetings and keeping action logs
  • Maintaining a forward planner of agenda items for our larger meetings.

• Administering and reporting on our education associates, including expense claims to support section budget forecasting, training and annual appraisals.
• Manage emails coming into the team's shared mailbox, liaising with colleagues to ensure emails and queries are dealt with by the appropriate person within our agreed timeframes.
• To understand and apply our safeguarding policy and processes for protecting children and adults at risk of harm (including knowing how to recognise, record and report safeguarding).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Senior Advisor to steward donor relationship including Members of UK for UNHCR’s Advisory Board and principal gift prospects and donors. This will include: 

• Supporting cultivation and stewardship. Involves working on account plans, preparing meeting briefings, writing of high-quality concept notes, proposals, reports, and other fundraising products.   
• Supporting external Advisory Board members to develop and execute opportunities to raise the profile of UNHCR’s work. This may include researching, identifying and initiating new initiatives.  
• Support with reporting back to the Advisory Board and regular stewardship ensuring the Board remains close to the charity and UNHCR – includes preparation of papers for quarterly Advisory Board meetings, monthly communications. 
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to identify key networks and individuals capable of supporting UNHCR financially. 
• Join portfolio meetings providing updates on the advisory board and relationships with key members.  
• Supporting the coordination of the Intermediary Strategy to grow relationships with connectors in the private client sector and in collaboration with others. 
• Support the Senior Advisor to maintain a focused new business pipeline. 
• Support with management reporting, including keeping salesforce up to date for the portfolio and related KPI tracking.

Job Spec 

Editorial & Design 

• Ability to produce fresh, emotive and informative content across print & digital platforms - including profiles of guests, news stories, blogs and speeches

• Lead on design and delivery across the organisation – digital & print: including posters, informative leaflets, presentations, graphics and images for social media, newsletters and website as needed 

• Work collaboratively across the organisation to solicit content from other members of staff, including caseworkers, operations and fundraising colleagues to support Communications’ strategic aims 

• Support the design of campaigns, appeals & events - working alongside the Head of Comms & Fundraising, and key members of the fundraising team to bring alive the vision of the campaign. 

• Co-lead on our work with content producers (photographers, videographers, designers, etc), ensuring content meets Glass Door’s standards and is signed off by appropriate staff members

• Maintain Sharepoint for digital content – including photos, social images, video and written content 

• Provide quality-control support (eg proof-reading and editing) on all materials outside of the Comms team and externally, ensuring all content, imagery and branding are consistent with house style and on brand 

• Create & deliver video content to support the digital strategy and on an ad-hoc basis 

Digital

• Manage and maintain all social media accounts in-line with Glass Door's social media guidelines, focusing on building awareness, driving traffic and increasing engagement

• Manage and update Glass Door's website in-line with the digital strategy and content planner 

• Co-develop & oversee a digital content calendar 

• Co-manage delivery of multiple/congruent campaigns, appeals and events to engage existing and attract new supporters, often working alongside key members of other teams including fundraising, operations and advocacy teams. 

• Support with digital marketing, working closely and collaboratively with the Marketing Officer, Head of Comms & Fundraising Team to plan, track and successfully deliver paid and organic digital journeys. 

• Monitor social media and advise key staff on any issues arising that could jeopardise the reputation of the charity, ensuring all Crisis Comms is managed in line with Crisis Comms Policy 

• Support the development and delivery of bi-monthly internal e-newsletters.

Monitor impact 

• Work closely and collaboratively with the Marketing Officer to ensure all conversions of paid promotion are tracked effectively and efficiently 

• Support the monitoring and tracking of website usage 

• Support the evaluation of social media and online reach, create monthly reports, and assist with evaluating the effectiveness of campaigns and appeals 

• Support the monitoring and tracking Google ads and analytics

• Co-lead on the planning and delivery of the Glass Door Communications Strategy – specifically on the digital and content plans

• Co-manage the Comms Team’s and cross org deliverables via project management platform monday(dot)com 

Events 

• Support co-ordination of events, by designing and delivering print and digital materials, online support to fundraisers, and representing the charity as needed in-person and online. 

Other

• Attend and participate in relevant team meetings, and other ad hoc meetings when necessary. 

• Undertake other ad hoc tasks as directed, such as assistance on Glass Door events and occasional administrative support to the CEO.

Course structure and requirements

The National Curriculum for High Intensity Psychotherapeutic Counselling within NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression outlines the full details of the course structure. To summarise, the following outlines the key training requirements:  

· A 1-year core psychotherapeutic counselling foundation level training, which also introduces the chosen NHS Talking Therapies modality. Following sign off for readiness, trainees can begin to practice at West London Centre for Counselling with people with mild to moderate depression

· Followed by, a 2-year post-graduate diploma (PGDip) in psychotherapeutic counselling (minimum 120 credits at Level 7)

· A minimum of 450 supervised client hours gained within a NHS Talking Therapies service

· A minimum of 450 training hours (skills and theory)  

· A minimum of 50 personal therapy hours  

· A minimum of 90 minutes of training supervision to every six hours of client work (or the equivalent for group supervision), or 90 minutes per week if they have completed less than six hours of client work in the week

· NHS Talking Therapy services will be responsible for supervision on site, including oversight of case management, clinical governance and management supervision in line with the supervision requirements of the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual.

· An average of two to three days per week of clinical practice in NHS Talking Therapies services

· Individual accreditation (professional registration) with a professional body in line with the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression manual (see the manual for more details)

Selection process

Selection processes including shortlisting and interviews will be carried out jointly by West London Centre for Counselling and Tavistock Relationships (training provider). The recruitment process to identify the trainees for this psychological role will be collaborative and values based.  This is to ensure that trainees recruited can meet both service expectations but also the educational requirements for the 3-year pathway.

About the role

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator (known internally as People Development Coordinator) with either experience in learning and development and/or a strong interest in building a career in the field to join our People Development Team

You’ll support the team in the coordination of internal and externally commissioned learning and development activities, working closely within the team, your departmental colleagues, and internal subject experts on a wide range of subjects and topics that are core areas for our workforce. You will maintain and continually improve our course evaluation, record keeping, and administrative processes, and bring new ideas and solutions to improve efficiency and measure impact. By supporting the wider charity with corporate induction and activities that help the workforce to drive their own development, you will play a key role in ensuring our people are supported to be the best they can be and maximise their talents for the benefit of children and young people with cancer.

This is a part-time role (21 hours a week). This is a hybrid role which can be home-based, hybrid or office-based (Bristol), with some flexibility depending on the post holder.

What will I be doing?

• Promoting the 70:20:10 model and providing the appropriate resources and signposting to enable our workforce to proactively drive their own development.

We're currently hiring for the role of Content Writer. This will sit within the expanding Communications Team, and will particularly focus on creating new resources which will inform and inspire Christians to care about and to take action around politics.

This is an exciting time to join the team, and a varied role, with the opportunity to write everything from short video scripts to extended theological papers (and everything in between!). We also intend to embark on new projects, including Bible Studies and Online Courses.
