Unseen is a UK charity with its head office in Bristol. We provide safehouses and support in the community for survivors of trafficking and modern slavery and operate the UK wide Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline. We also work with individuals, communities, business, governments, other charities and statutory agencies to end slavery for good.

Purpose of the role:

You will help form part of a UK-wide team of remote Helpline Advisors operating the only modern slavery specific helpline in the UK. Answering incoming calls, making callouts, sending emails, drafting referrals to external agencies, and maintaining accurate data will be your day-to-day responsibilities. You will contribute to a service that as well as providing information, advice and guidance to our service users, also helps create one of the largest non-governmental bodies of data on the scale of modern slavery in the UK which is used to influence strategy and policy at local, national and international levels. You will provide trauma informed and person-centred information, advice, and guidance to a variety of caller types, including people in and out of exploitation, professionals, members of the public, and businesses.

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Employee Relations and Union Services in the CSP as a full time Senior Negotiating Officer (SNO) for the South East Coast. This is a challenging, but very enjoyable role which will see you:

- Supporting, advising and training the network of stewards, safety representatives and equality representatives in the South East Coastal region.

- Advising and supporting stewards to manage their own casework, whilst managing your own caseload of employment relations issues, including but not limited to dicisplinaries, grievances, sickness absence, HCPC and legal cases.

- Attending and representing the CSP at strategic regional forums such as regional Social Partnership Forums and Integrated Care Boards/Integrated Care Systems.

We are looking for an individual with significant experience and a background in the trade union movement. They should be dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for members and to building the membership and activism levels in the CSP.

You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to problem solve. You will also have experience in advocacy and representing members and have a thorough understanding of the current issues facing CSP members. You will also be expected to be able to display excellent trade union knowledge.

· Experience in developing and managing complex budgets including financial modelling and reforecasts, and delivering against agreed budgets. 

· Demonstrated leadership abilities, including experience in managing and motivating a team.

· Experience in building relationships with and managing multiple stakeholders.

About the role

As Healthcare Professional Education & Engagement Lead at Crohn's & Colitis UK, you will be integral in the development of healthcare professional online education and engagement networks in both primary and secondary care. You will also work on a variety of other healthcare professional projects. This is a role that is both fulfilling and challenging and requires travel to healthcare professional conferences. You will be supporting the Health Services Manager and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, all with a view to improving the quality and the standards of health services for all people affected by Crohn's and Colitis.

Our location

We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. But one thing we have learned from the pandemic, is that we are able to work very effectively from home. In this role, there is plenty of scope for doing that, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings and the charity meets four times a year in the office at our mandatory 'All Staff Together' days. The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Disabled People’s Organisations (DPOs). As we believe in the Social Model of Disability, our values and principles embrace inclusive and accessible ways of working, seeking co-production and co-design from our Disabled members, encouraging and respecting diversity. AoD is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees, 27 staff, a strong pool of casual staff and volunteers, including many with lived experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers faced by Disabled people.

Action on Disability provides four key services: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, and Independent Living.

The Project

Our Place is a project that is facilitated and managed by AoD. It is a 3-year National Lottery Community fund and Propel London funded project that will sit within our Independent Living Service. Our Place creates a community space and resource hub that Disabled people can call their own – led by them and facilitated by AoD staff. This service will be genuinely embedded in the local area, meeting needs expressed by local Disabled people to have their own place, and building links with amenities, businesses, and event spaces in Hammersmith and Fulham.

We want to enable businesses to feel more confident to welcome Disabled people and remove barriers. We want to create an inclusive and accessible space for Disabled people to socialise, build skills, pursue interests, and develop peer relationships.

Our Place operates alongside, and enhances, our current service provision. Central to this is ensuring that Disabled people have meaningful ownership over the space, from Steering Board input to operational delivery.

Disabled people will achieve their potential through four outcomes:

• Increased confidence, knowledge, and skills through opportunities to lead, learn and do new things.
• Reduced isolation and improved mental well-being through a place to socialise.
• Equity of access and participation in the local community.
• Mitigation of the pandemic’s impact, through building new opportunities.

The Post

We are looking for a full time Project delivery support officer with a commitment to the vision of AoD to promote Independent Living, Peer Support and Co-production within this project. You will have strong community project delivery, administration and support skills, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to support the project and work effectively as part of a team. Your working hours will be dependent on the Our Place project activity schedule and may include early evening and weekend work.

Essential

1. An understanding, commitment and positive attitude toward Disability and experience of working for and with Disabled people.
2. Demonstrable experience of community project delivery.
3. Experience of coordinating the delivery of projects
4. Experience of supporting the fulfilment of reporting and monitoring needs.
5. Able to demonstrate an understanding of boundary management in relation to volunteers, staff and those who access a service.
6. An understanding of working within a multiagency, person-centered approach
7. Professional knowledge and experience of implementing safeguarding procedures and purpose.
