About this role:
As Process Improvement Specialist, you will:
- work closely with colleagues across the organisation to identify and implement process efficiency and automation opportunities, from start to finish,
- develop and maintain process documentation, such as procedures, process maps and guides,
- regularly analyse data to understand the effectiveness of processes across the organisation, paying close attention to detail at all times,
- complete process mapping and reviews in order to maximise efficiency, coming up with solutions to complex problems swiftly.
About you:
To be successful in this role you should be truly process driven, with experience of implementing new processes and streamlining existing ones, with a knack for understanding a problem, analysing, and then fixing it. You’ll need to be a people person, as you’ll be business partnering colleagues and ‘meeting them where they are’, as they map out their processes and identify areas for improvement. You’ll need to be very detail orientated, and it would be beneficial if you have some Six Sigma certification to support your experience in process improvement. Additionally, you’ll need a commitment to the aims and objectives of Dogs Trust.

About this team:
Under the leadership of the Chief Operating Officer, the Finance, IT, Governance and Risk, Efficiency and Sustainability, Facilities and Legal teams provide professional business advice and central support to Dogs Trust. These traditionally ‘back-office’ teams work closely with the rest of Dogs Trust to enable them to work more efficiently and effectively to deliver our mission. Current turnover is in excess of £110m and is still growing and staffing levels are approaching 1,500 FTE. Executive Director
We are seeking an experienced interim senior leader to join an Executive Team at an innovative arts centre in the heart of Deptford.
Position: Executive Director (interim)

About the role:
As Executive Director you will be working for a thriving arts centre, which exists to inspire, develop and support creativity for the benefit of the community, encompassing the London Borough of Lewisham and beyond. You will bring new perspective and energy as well as solid understanding of the nuts and bolts of running a 21st arts organisation.

JOB PROFILE
Reporting to the UK Head of Communications and Giving (HC&G), you will be at the forefront of demonstrating to the public how Afghanaid is changing lives in Afghanistan, and raise awareness of key issues communities we work with are facing. You will lead the development and delivery of the organisation’s media and PR strategy, building out Afghanaid’s capacity to pitch stories, field opportunities, cultivate a strong network of journalists and high profile supporters, and ultimately secure coverage and opportunities that drive the success of the organisation’s campaigns and heighten Afghanaid’s credibility and profile.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Media and Public Relations
- Design and action an annual Media and PR strategy based on wider team and organisational goals;
- Conceptualise and deliver strategic earned media campaigns, supporting the HC&G to execute and maximise the success of multi-channel campaign development and execution;
- Proactively identify, pitch and advocate for compelling stories, strategically engaging with journalists to expand message reach and ensure brand integrity;
- Field inbound media inquiries, liaising with journalists and colleagues to maximise opportunities;
- Craft and distribute timely press releases, comments, and statements;
- Work with colleagues to cultivate a strong spokesperson team, with a particular focus on developing Afghanaid’s thought leadership;
- Support spokesperson briefing, developing talking points, interview briefs, Q&A materials and drafting speeches;
- Compile up-to-date and detailed media lists, cultivating warm media contacts through high quality stewardship;
- Monitor media coverage on Afghanistan and Afghanaid, including articles, live news, and social media activity to keep abreast of unfolding stories, identifying trends, cultural moments and other opportunities relevant to Afghanaid and devising ways to get involved;
- Generate content for various owned communication channels including the website, newsletters, and social media platforms, keeping the Media hub on the website up to date with the latest news, coverage, and journalist information, and making suggestions for refinement.
- Work with Communications Officer to maintain and execute a coordinated communications calendar, ensuring day-to-day team activities via earned, paid and digital communications streams are synchronised and symbiotic;
- Identify a wide range opportunities for positive exposure of Afghanaid that may inspire new support;
- Work with HC&G to support relationship management of external agencies and consultants, identifying and responding to opportunities to utilise pro-bono support from such businesses;
- Collect and analyse data and produce reports and presentations on key media and PR performance indicators to assess the effectiveness and reach of our communications activities and make recommendations for improvement;
- Identify and pursue opportunities to utilise high profile and celebrity support. Work collaboratively with other members of the Communications and Giving team to engage these contacts in media campaigns, appeals, digital communications and events, and where possible and appropriate cultivate Ambassador-style partnerships;
- Attend relevant events, external fora and working group meetings and identify opportunities for involvement with advocacy initiatives, particularly those within the climate space, that benefits Afghanaid’s goals and reputation;

About you
To thrive in this role, you will have relevant experience of supporting adults, families and children/young people. You will be able to take a flexible and creative approach to problem solving. Due to the remote working nature of the role, you will have excellent communication skills to identify and assess the service user’s needs and work alongside them to develop their personal support plan.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate a strong proficiency in Microsoft Teams and a broad computer literacy that includes the ability to work across multiple applications simultaneously. Confidence in recording data into an electronic information management system is essential, as is the capacity to rapidly acquire new software and application skills. • Using Google analytics and statistical information generated on the back end of the different social media platforms, extract relevant data which identifies key trends and reasons why interaction may have increased or decreased and provide this to the DoBDI monthly, and assist in the production of quarterly reports for dissemination to committees and SMT.

Role overview
The Partnership Manager will oversee and deliver account management across our mentoring partnership portfolio. This role involves managing the partner experience across a range of sectors, including higher education, the third sector, schools and corporate partnerships. The post-holder will be responsible for onboarding new partners, supporting them in developing their yearly mentoring plans, engaging in regular communications to ensure we’re on track with our deliverables, and renewing contracts annually. - Complete annual mentoring project plans with all partners

About the role
As digital content officer, you’ll design, edit and optimise our web content to help our users feel empowered throughout their breast cancer experience.
From personal stories and blogs to landing pages and webforms, you’ll support teams across the charity and lead the content creation for some of our key projects and campaigns.
You’ll know content design, search engine optimisation (SEO), user experience (UX) and accessibility best practices like the back of your hand and be able to advise teams on the correct approach for their pages. And with support from our digital analytics manager, you’ll be able to advise teams on how to improve their content to drive conversions.
Not only will you be able to take the lead, but you’ll also be a team player. You’ll be able to take direction from the digital content manager on bigger projects and collaborate with other members of your team.

You’ll also help set the standard of content on the new website by training teams on new processes on the new CMS and coaching them on web best practices.

Through our three charities, we work in partnership with the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust to deliver world class care.
Crucial to this is the energy and focus we bring to ensuring charitable donations are utilised as effectively as possible through the Guy’s Cancer Charity, the Evelina London Children’s Charity and the Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage a portfolio of grants, advising and guiding applicants and grant holders, with appropriate support from Funding Managers where needed.

Managing a patch of 400+ units across our services you will ensure that challenging rent collection targets are met but also that everything is done to avoid eviction. Your personal qualities are as important in this role as your work experience.
Working alongside Operational Colleagues, the Income and Housing Officer will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of generic Housing Management services across their patch with the main focus on Income Collection and some ASB management. You will be expected to meet tight KPI's increasing rent collection and carry out rent arrears actions at all stages from the initial warning letters to the eviction stage.
In order to effectively deliver the services listed above to their patch, the Income and Housing Officer will need to work closely with Contract Managers and Support Workers working within our projects to empower and enable them to carry out their responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills are a pre-requisite to the role. The post holder will be extremely flexible and have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects at one time.
Fixed term contract of 6-9 months
Needs to be able to travel, some homeworking but priority is out on site visiting customers in their homes and having a presence in the community.

The Head of Counselling has overall responsibility for the smooth running of the clinical services, the recruitment of suitable counsellors, supervisors, and Strides HCC team to ensure the maintenance of high standards of service delivery.
The role is an integral part of Strides, working with the CEO and other Heads of services to support the continuous development and delivery of services in line with Strides’ strategy.
The main purpose of the role is to provide effective management and leadership of Strides HCC. The role focuses on the strategic development of the project, the financial management and financial sustainability of its operations, and the overseeing of all aspects of the clinical service delivery and clinical governance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be accountable for all aspects of clinical governance in the service, reporting back to the CEO as required.
• Organise and chair the steering group meetings, review minutes and report back on actions and progress.

Main purpose of the post
We are seeking to appoint a Research Funding Manager with experience in managing the development and submissions process for successful research bids, to be part of a wider team that spearheads RUSI’s research fundraising efforts. With support from the BD team, develop and execute a plan to inform, train and mentor research and central services colleagues on best practice for bids, including a focus on wider business awareness.

Respond to due diligence requests received by RUSI from research funders, ensure we have a central database of up-to-date policies and documents required to respond successfully and quickly.

Work with the Business Development team to build organisational systems and processes for effective BD, collaborate with BD colleagues to share feedback and ideas, support each other, and develop central projects to improve BD across the organisation.

Attend Business Development meetings with research groups and build strong relationships with project managers and project officers, capturing feedback and seeking input to BD processes and practices.

Manage the process for new funder approvals with the Deputy Director General.

Be a member of RUSI’s Research Committee and report on bid statuses and other relevant information when needed.

Essential Skills and Experience:

An extensive track record of submitting high-quality research project proposals to the funders listed above, with a demonstrable success rate.

Able to produce clear, accurate and insightful written output, setting high standards and enhancing our external reputation through the production of strong bids.

Skilled at dealing with high-pressured situations with sensitivity and in a calm manner.
-
A track record of producing and reviewing small, medium, and large project budgets, often with specific funder requirements, and an understanding of how to develop competitive financial bids.

Strong knowledge and awareness of common requirements for bid submissions, including statements on duty of care, quality assurance, supply chain management, gender, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Outstanding time management skills and a willingness to work flexibly, juggling shifting priorities and competing deadlines, while managing people’s expectations effectively with the support of the Director of Research Business Development.

A good understanding of contractual matters and experience in resolving them.

Experience in training colleagues on best practice and developing associated materials.

Strong IT and Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Project management certification such as Prince 2.
