We’re looking for a Finance Officer to join our close-knit finance team. You will work closely with the Financial Controller on the charity’s accounting, financial reporting and budgeting processes. This is an exciting role - you’ll be working on reports for some of the charity’s key stakeholders, from the staff who lead our centres through to members of the Senior Management Team and external funders.
Experience of finance is not a prerequisite – rather, we are looking for skills, aptitude and potential. However, you must be able to demonstrate a high level of numeracy, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important.
If you’re looking to start your career in finance, this is an ideal opportunity for you to learn about finance from the grassroots up. You will be fully supported with a thorough in-house training programme, and we’ll also provide you with assistance to complete the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting, with the opportunity to then progress to the full CIMA qualification.

As a Bank Administrator you will be pivotal in providing a centralised administrative and customer service type support to a variety of departments and managers across the organisation. Job Summary
Taking a leading role as part of the Individual Giving management team, you play an important part in helping to achieve a step change in the growth of the net voluntary income of St John. The role will work closely across Individual Giving and the wider Fundraising Directorate to develop an evolving supporter acquisition strategy that will aim to recruit new supporters with a focus on digital. The role needs to focus on managing the implementation of the strategy including using insight and data to develop, implement, manage, monitor and evaluate campaigns across a range of channels, with a cutting edge and contemporary approach whilst staying current with the continuously changing legislation and support climate. About You
- Significant experience in a third sector direct marketing role
- Track record in managing effective digital campaigns on a national or regional basis

About You:

Key responsibilities
1. Strategy and Development
- Lead the development and implementation of a new, agile corporate partnerships strategy aligned with FFL’s strategic priorities and values.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners, with a particular focus on:
- Property developers and construction firms active in East London
- Corporate businesses in Docklands, Canary Wharf and the City of London
- Companies with a strong commitment to social impact, the environment, skills development, education, culture and place-based investment.
2. Relationship Building and Income Generation
- Proactively approach and develop relationships with cold prospects through tailored, creative and strategic outreach.
- Craft persuasive pitches, proposals and presentations tailored to corporate audiences at different levels of seniority.

Context and purpose of role
