About the role
Position: Corporate Partnerships Manager, initial 6-month contract with the possibility of permanent

The Corporate Partnerships Manager will lead the development of a new corporate partnerships programme. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced relationship builder to shape and grow a corporate income stream from the ground up, targeting a broad range of potential partners across East London and beyond.
The postholder will play a pivotal role in identifying and engaging corporates across key geographies – especially property developers and businesses in Docklands, Canary Wharf and the City of London – whose interests align with FFL’s work in placemaking, inclusive growth and cultural regeneration.
You will also support joint fundraising initiatives with partners including Greater London Authority, University of East London and the Royal Docks.

1. Strategy and Development
- Lead the development and implementation of a new, agile corporate partnerships strategy aligned with FFL’s strategic priorities and values.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners, with a particular focus on:
- Property developers and construction firms active in East London
- Corporate businesses in Docklands, Canary Wharf and the City of London
- Companies with a strong commitment to social impact, the environment, skills development, education, culture and place-based investment.
2. Relationship Building and Income Generation
- Proactively approach and develop relationships with cold prospects through tailored, creative and strategic outreach.
- Craft persuasive pitches, proposals and presentations tailored to corporate audiences at different levels of seniority.
- Secure a diverse range of partnerships, including sponsorships, strategic collaborations, employee engagement, gifts in kind and project-specific funding.
- Lead on stewardship, ensuring all corporate partners are appropriately recognised, engaged and retained.
3. Internal and External Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to shape partnership opportunities that support programme delivery, strategic objectives and community impact.
- Represent FFL externally at corporate networking events, briefings and presentations, particularly within the Docklands, City of London and East London areas.
- Contribute to the wider fundraising and development strategy, supporting team-wide initiatives and cross-cutting campaigns.
4. Reporting and Compliance
- Maintain accurate CRM (using Raiser’s Edge) records and income forecasts, working with the Director of Fundraising and Development to track engagement and manage risk for reporting to the Fundraising Sub-Committee.
- Ensure partnership activity complies with charity fundraising regulation and FFL’s internal ethical fundraising policy.
- Prepare clear, timely reports and impact updates for internal and external stakeholders.

We work alongside people to help them escape poverty, build confidence, and find community.
Our principal activity is the prevention of food poverty and food insecurity by offering culturally appropriate food, fresh fruits, and vegetables as well as dietary and religiously appropriate food which we have continued to run at our five-week sessions to local people for as long as they address the underlying cause.
We also provide a range of wraparound support, including advice services, particularly around employment and immigration through our Back2Work Team, Holiday Clubs for Children, Youth Groups, a Clothing Bank and our Spring Up Women’s group.

Responsibilities
- Ensure that there is a sound understanding of business areas in terms of both present as well as forecasted performance.
- Work with budget holders on the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring that any advice/support in understanding the numbers is provided in a timely manner, and that they and senior management are supported in their decision making.
- Lead on the preparation of the quarterly forecasts.
- Undertake budgetary versus actual expenditure analysis, providing reports and meaningful information to budget holders and senior finance team members.
- Support in developing project budgets on a full cost recovery basis, and in the preparation of donor report.
- Support in undertaking grant reconciliations.
- Offer coaching and training as required.
Requirements
- Experienced finance professional, highly numerate and analytical, able to understand the business and strategic outlook of the organisation, able to interpret financial information and communicate this clearly and precisely.
- Experience in developing budgets & forecasts, and undertaking and presenting analysis, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong communication and finance business partnering skills – able to accurately and precisely communicate important financial information to non-finance budget holders, and senior management staff, challenge numbers and support in sound decision making.
- Experience of working in an international organisation, in a multi-currency environment, and with colleagues based globally.
- Experience in the financial management of grants, including developing budgets for proposals (on a full cost recovery basis), and reporting for donors is strongly desirable.
- Strong systems/IT skills
- Experience in offering coaching on internal controls & processes, budgets & accompanying analysis, and systems/IT.

ECHO supports children and young people with heart conditions and their families, who have been treated within the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS network of 47 hospitals. Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect and affects just under 1 in every 100 babies born throughout the UK.
ECHO helps from diagnosis, which is often during pregnancy, throughout any treatment and care pathway or bereavement. Families are supported at every stage of their heart child’s journey throughout childhood, teenage years and during the transition to adult services.
ECHO’s new Engagement Coordinator will be confident, self-motivated, and capable of managing projects independently. They will be responsible for building strong relationships with stakeholders, coordinating engagement activities, and ensuring these are executed successfully.
The role requires a proactive, flexible, results-orientated individual with a passion for creating meaningful connections and working autonomously to achieve goals. You will lead with a “Make it Happen” approach to benefit the families we support in the children’s cardiology network connected to the Evelina London, Royal Brompton, and Harefield hospital networks (47 hospitals).

Present to anyone who wants to hear about ECHO, whether a small team in an office, a school assembly of 500, or an away day for lawyers or doctors. You will design the resources you need on a shoestring budget with limited time but deliver an impactful and memorable presentation.
Bring organisation to the team and operations through admin with a can-do approach.
Key Responsibilities:
· Galvanise support by identifying opportunities, persuading people to get on board and following through to secure trust and buy-in
· Develop a GREAT supporter journey for everyone who donates to us, helping them to maximise opportunities to raise money and spread the word about ECHO.

o A team of runners taking part in an event.
o A team of medical professionals helping with our information resources.
o Stories for social media.
· People, presentations, and engagement – confidently stepping up to present, walking into groups with ease, and engaging people naturally and enthusiastically.
· Bringing energy, charisma, and a proactive approach to every interaction – from chatting with families to speaking at events or engaging new supporters.
