What will I be doing?

What skills will I need?

Key Responsibilities: 
 
Leadership

• Lead, coach and motivate the Commercial Partnerships team to deliver outstanding results, including achieving 2025 targets and deliverables

Strategic Commercial Relations

Marketing 

• Support and guide the Marketing team, to ensure successful delivery of IKD’s calendar of high-impact marketing and advertising campaigns, including social media
• Oversee the internal and external use of branding guidelines – ensuring consistency in the look and feel of all collateral materials, events and campaigns – protecting IKD’s corporate identity and positioning 
• Monitor the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives and activities, providing ROI and engagement measurements 
• Lead the marketing team in developing ambitious plans to celebrate IKD’s 30th anniversary in 2026

 Skills/experience you will bring:

Success in this role would mean that, after six months, you will have:

• Successfully coordinated the delivery of our adult training sessions in schools and youth settings
• Built good working relationships with the schools and settings we work in, and the facilitators who deliver our work
• Supported and worked flexibly with the Head of Adult Services and other colleagues to ensure the high quality and continued improvement of our work
• Use Tender’s data management systems, such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, confidently and in line with Tender’s policies

Essential requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in developing and delivering domestic violence training, or equivalent experience and a willingness to undertake the Level 3 training
• Proficiency in office software, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint
• Ability to coordinate complex projects involving a range of internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and equal opportunities

About the role  

This pivotal role will see you help deliver the Individual Giving (IG) and Retention strategies, working collaboratively with colleagues across teams in IG to increase lifetime value of cash, regular giving and lottery supporters.

You’ll work with the Senior Direct Marketing Manager to lead on the delivery and development of direct marketing campaigns to engage a range of supporters, from those who have just started giving, to others who have a lifelong relationship with Shelter and the cause, stewarding them across their supporter journey with Shelter. 

You’ll have the opportunity to work in a matrix way, across multiple products, and on projects that push forward not only the team strategy, but the organisation’s strategy. 

You will give supporters control of how they give, when we contact them and the content that will mean most to them. Helping build multi-channel, integrated and inspiring campaigns which build strong supporter relationships and long-term loyalty to Shelter. And, along the way, you’ll get to work with new products and propositions to retain supporters in innovative ways and build strong relationships with colleagues, agencies and suppliers alike.

 About you

Passionate about outstanding supporter experiences and maximising income opportunities, you have a good understanding of direct marketing and digital channels such as direct mail, SMS, telemarketing and email. You’re also used to optimising and reviewing campaigns and aren’t afraid to share both failures and successes. Managing and influencing stakeholders to deliver results comes naturally to you too. What’s more, you excel in analysis and intelligent use of data, are great at utilising insight, including the motivations, interests and behaviours of supporters to guide decisions. You’ll have a keen interest in, or willingness to learn about, product management and development. 

You’re happy to challenge the status quo and introduce new ideas, methods and processes too, like to horizon scan and keep ahead of emerging trends and are comfortable working in matrix teams.

Purpose of the job

Working across the Network Delivery Department, you will support the efficient day to day administration and co-ordination of the teams. You will play a critical role providing administrative and co-ordination support for the Network Delivery Department ensuring we have strong processes and ways of working to deliver our ambitious goals. You will support individual project teams to deliver specific work streams to help us enable all young people to thrive.

 

Key responsibilities

Provide administrative and coordination support to the Network Delivery Department to ensure the smooth running of the Department. This includes but is not limited to:

• Support the implementation of new systems and processes across the Department and ensure all are kept up to date

• Maintain team and departmental inboxes and provide first point of contact for enquiries, working across the team to ensure efficient communication and stakeholder satisfaction

• Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers relating to the delivery of our youth work programmes and activities with our networks

• Administrative duties including scheduling meetings, minute taking and booking venues/ catering

• Coordinate logistics for the delivery of events and public affairs activity related to the department

• Support ongoing work on departmental process improvement and new filing systems on SharePoint

• Manage and maintain databases and CRM; champion CRM use across the department

• Maintaining budgets, as appropriate

• Booking and arranging travel for young people participating in our programmes

• Manage departmental meetings and support with arranging team away days

• Managing the creation of a range of project documents using Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access and other software packages

• Support the development of marketing and communications materials
