We are now seeking an interim Senior Legacies and Endowment Manager who will review, build and deliver the organisation`s strategy for Endowment Funding and legacy-giving, to expand both. This role will suit a candidate who has excellent programme planning and project management skills. You will be a subject matter expert, who can help develop not only the strategy but also the small team around you. With excellent relationship management and development skills, you will role model best practice and demonstrate credibility and influence as an ambassador for the Royal Ballet and Opera.

You will have:

• Extensive experience of planning and leading programmes for giving and legacy giving in performing arts/ museum/ wider charity sector, with up-to-date knowledge of tax and other technical issues
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with ability to inspire and influence wide range of stakeholders
• The ability to develop a successful strategy and marketing plan for audience engagement
• The ability to devise and deliver a programme of benefits and events for supporters, working with multi-disciplinary teams for delivery

About the Department/ Team 

RUSI’s Proliferation and Nuclear Policy (PNP) programme addresses issues raised by the development and spread of nuclear, chemical and biological weapons, and related technologies, through innovative research, dialogue and partnership with national and international bodies.

Main purpose of post  

The PONI Project Manager will be responsible for delivery and development of the United Kingdom Project on Nuclear Issues (UK PONI), a flagship project for the PNP programme. Since 2009, UK PONI has helped to address the nuclear policy and technology challenges of tomorrow by developing and sustaining emerging nuclear specialists from industry, academia, government, and the military, and by connecting them with established experts. Its goal is to build a vibrant and diverse community of well-informed, well-connected and capable nuclear specialists in the UK. 

To do this, it seeks to connect across boundaries, be they technical-policy, senior-junior, government and non-government, military-civilian, pro- and anti-nuclear, and internationally; it looks at ways it can help members of the nuclear community develop their knowledge and skills, including by promoting diversity of inclusion and representation; and it provides a platform for emerging talent, principally through its Annual Conference and through the UK PONI blog, Nuclear Reactions. UK PONI has great growth potential, and RUSI’s goal for the PM is to realise this by taking responsibility for driving the project forward, expanding funding and its membership, while maintaining the high standards of the existing programme and our established relationships.

Key tasks  

The Project Manager will: 

• Oversee and implement the UK PONI strategy, ensuring effective delivery and alignment with the wider Proliferation and Nuclear Policy (PNP) programme. 

• Develop and implement communications and engagement strategies for the UK PONI community and funders, including managing newsletters, social media channels, and marketing activity to enhance reach, visibility, and impact. 

• Build and strengthen the UK PONI community both online and offline, fostering collaborations with PONI partners and other organisations and networks across the UK with an interest in nuclear issues. 

• Lead on the production and publication of UK PONI’s quarterly newsletter FUSION and the Nuclear Reactions series. 

• Plan, organise, and deliver UK PONI events, workshops, and conferences in the UK and abroad, providing full logistical and administrative support. 

• Prepare materials for meetings of the UK PONI Board of Advisors and support fundraising, business development, and ongoing liaison with funders. 

• Facilitate business planning and contribute to the development of annual work plans and strategic objectives. 

• Manage bids, grants, and financial reporting, including the creation and monitoring of budgets and submission of reports to funders. 

• Monitor project schedules, track team tasks, and collate programme-wide project management information to support effective delivery and coordination. 

• Deliver internal and external outreach and engagement activities to promote UK PONI’s work and strengthen stakeholder relationships. 

• Ensure that diversity and inclusion are embedded across all UK PONI activities, working with partners such as the Gender Champions in Nuclear Policy network, Women in International Security UK, Women of Colour Advancing Peace and Security UK, and Women in Nuclear UK.

About the role

Reporting in to the Global Head of Programme Policy and Practice, the Programme & Partnerships Lead is pivotal to the design and impact success of signature programmes. It works closely with Multi Country Clusters (MCC) to do so, including the design of MEAL frameworks to support monitoring and evidence capture. 

Working with MCC leadership the post-holder will identify areas for support and make appropriate links with enabling functions. Across MCC programme portfolios this role will provide support to ensure a coherent application of our partnership principles and alignment with organisational values and goals. 

The role provides leadership to the team which includes MEAL, a Programme Portfolio Advisor, and a Civil Society and Faith specialist to help deliver high-impact programmes with an emphasis on decolonial approaches and methodologies. The role will provide specific support to the development of Christian Aid’s faith based partnerships.

The role spearheads localisation and CSO approach as an underpinning ethos of the new organisational mode.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Programme & Partnerships Lead include:

• Inspire and motivate the team and colleagues in the Programme Policy and Practice division to support MCC’s, to drive meaningful impact.
• Work across Departments to support the design of signature programmes, including building connections across the MCCs, developing an appropriate MEAL framework and ensuring effective reporting and links to Organisational Effectiveness.
• Work with the Global MEAL Advisor and Organisational Effectiveness Department to commission internal and external impact evaluations and research for signature programmes and the wider unrestricted funding portfolio; this will include a focus on decolonial approaches to evaluation.
• With an emphasis on signature programmes work with IPE and MCCs to identify opportunities for the further development of signature programmes.
• Ensure processes and guardrails are in place to support the strategic allocation of resources to MCCs.
• Develop and maintains strong cross sector and internal relationships that fosters cross-functional consensus.
• Collaborate with MCC staff to develop and communicate a clear picture of Christian Aid’s programmatic portfolio, and of delivery of organisational impact that aligns to organisational values and goals

Your Day-to-Day

• Manage and monitor outsourced Hard FM (M&E, compliance testing, maintenance) and Soft FM (cleaning, security, waste) contracts.

We are looking for an experienced and resourceful Clinical Services Manager (Intake and Allocation), this role will be responsible for leading and coordinating the intake and allocation of clients to appropriate ongoing therapists. This role ensures timely, and client-centred access to help, and plays a pivotal part in maintaining service quality, client flow, and clinician capacity.

The role involves working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including clinical assessment teams, supervisors and clients to assign clinicians effectively.

• Ensuring trainees are allocated cases appropriate to their level of clinical experience and training requirements.

Join Dementia UK as a Challenge Events Manager where you will take the lead in delivering our DIY challenge events portfolio to grow our income in this area.

As part of the Mass Participation team, this is an exciting opportunity where we will look for you to develop the overall strategy for our DIY challenge events programmes. This covers all supporters who are taking on a sporting event through their own place. As Challenge Events Manager (DIY) you will identify and maximise opportunities for growth, ensuring the programme remains innovative and responsive to market trends. This will involve researching new opportunities, monitoring developments across the sector and continuously improving ways of working.

You’ll oversee the planning, marketing, budgeting and evaluation of events, using insight and innovation to drive growth. With a strong focus on collaboration, you’ll build meaningful relationships across internal teams and external partners, ensuring our events are delivered efficiently and compliantly. You will co-manage the Challenge Events team alongside the Challenge Events Manager (Third Party) which will ensure a joined-up approach to the overall Challenge Events programme, with shared learning and consistent delivery across all areas. You will have direct line management responsibility for three members of the team.

We’re looking for you to have proven experience in successfully delivering DIY challenge events, including participant recruitment, supporter journey development and stewardship communications to achieve income targets. With previous line management experience, you’ll have a strong background in leading projects, with the ability to guide and support team members to meet their objectives. You should have experience of working with external agencies, a clear understanding of marketing channels and digital techniques to drive participation, and a working knowledge of stewardship approaches.

This is a hybrid role, where you will spend two days in our Aldgate Head Office alongside the rest of the team to ensure great collaboration and a joined up approach to our mass participation events.

Young Carers’ Project (YCP) Manager

Contract: Full-time | 36 hours per week.

Location: Kingston Upon Thames, with some hybrid working.

Kingston Carers Network's Young Carers Project (YCP) provides information, advice and support to young carers in Kingston. Our services include a weekly youth club and drop-in sessions, respite activities during the school holidays, one-to-one mentoring and targeted family support.

We are looking for a committed, proactive person with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to lead the YCP team in supporting our amazing young carers, aged 5-18, who all have a caring responsibility for a family member. We currently support over 4000 carers, including over 800 young carers, who are caring for a relative or friend with a disability, illness, mental health problem or substance addiction. The successful candidate will have the ability to plan and deliver a range of activities and support to young carers to ensure that the project aims are achieved. Experience of working with young people aged 5-18 years is essential.
