Role Purpose: Carry out actions in support of the strategy set out in the Business Plan. Key responsibilities include: Strategy and Business Development and to lead the fundraising effort MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work with the Board of Trustees to develop the overall Business Strategy
· Lead the Fundraising programme, with a target income of £100,000 + per annum new funds
· Manage relationships with other 3rd party organisations operating in adjacent healthcare sectors
· Working with the Clinical Consultant, open 5 new Leg Clubs per annum, maintaining a prospective list of 10-20 potential new launches at any one time
· Work with existing and prospective Leg Clubs to understand the NHS landscape both to facilitate growth and to support existing clubs
· Develop relationships with existing Leg Clubs
· Support the Educational Programme of the Lindsay Leg Club Foundation REPORTING
· Produce a monthly activity report
· Report to Board of Trustees at the Quarterly Board Meetings
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1) Experience of 3rd Sector Charity organisations
2) Demonstrable Fund Raising experience
3) Strong interpersonal skills to be able to liaise with different stakeholders
4) Experience in dealing with the NHS and/or healthcare market more generally

GENERAL
This is a Sole Trader position which means that the individual must provide their own laptop/computer, phone etc. Appropriate expenses will be reimbursed. This role description is not exhaustive and the successful candidate may be asked to undertake additional appropriate duties as required.
TRAVEL
The role will require regular travel. The post holder must possess a driver’s license and ensure own vehicle is in good clean good clean working order and suitable for the task. The postholder will be reimbursed travel expenses in accordance with the Foundation’s Expense Policy. ABOUT The Lindsay Leg Club Foundation was established in December 2004 with the main objective of facilitating and managing the co-ordinated growth of the network of the Leg Clubs and to provide the Clubs with any information and support that they may require. The Foundation achieved charitable status in September 2005, Charity Registration Number: 1111259. Individual Clubs are members of the central Foundation and operate according to the Lindsay Leg Club Model. The model is set out in a practical Handbook which details how Clubs can be established. It includes guidelines on the four key elements of the model, procedures, policies and standards.

Key responsibilities
- Lead our Ignite place-based programmes, managing workshops, employer engagement, and volunteer coordination, while ensuring local partners stay central to design and delivery.
- Oversee programme delivery, stakeholder relationships, coordination and logistics
- Through targeted interventions ensure the right workshops and people are in place to support young people to raise their aspirations, develop their skills and bridge the gap between education and employment
This role is a hybrid of strategic and operational work.

Role Requirements
- Your main objectives is to support the board and senior leadership team in ensuring the charity continues to deliver high-quality, safe, effective and financially sustainable services for vulnerable children now and in the longer-term;
- Under the guidance of the Head of Risk, Audit & Governance, and in collaboration with key stakeholders across the organisation, coordinate and manage the implementation and ongoing development of the charity’s risk management framework; risk policies, risk appetite statement; “risk universe” and board assurance framework / assurance map;
- Undertake deep dive risk assessments and provide assurance over the effectiveness of internal controls from time to time as required by Audit & Risk Committee;
- Undertake a quarterly review of key financial controls and report findings to the Finance, Finance, Investments & Resources Committee and Audit & Risk Committee;
- Monitor and report on the implementation of agreed management actions designed to strengthen risk mitigation strategies / close compliance gaps and provide assurance on these to SLT and trustees.
- Prepare the risk update for SLT, the board and each of its committees including risk heat maps and key risk indicators for the charity’s principal risks.
- Establish effective working relationships with other second line risk, quality and compliance functions and periodically monitor the effectiveness of their activities.
- Liaise with SLT directors to ensure departmental risk registers are in place and appropriately maintained.
- Facilitate risk workshops and provide online training on TCT’s risk management policy and procedures. Meet regularly with risk owners to review risk responses and progress with actions. Ensure there is an effective process of escalation of significant risks to SLT and trustees;
- Prepare an annual review of the effectiveness of internal control and risk management for the Audit & Risk Committee;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead account management of a large national corporate partnership, delivering a six-figure fundraising target and giving first class stewardship to ensure engagement with all staff across multiple sites in the UK
● Develop engaging marketing and communications for the partnership and develop new business materials for their suppliers and customers, to get them involved in the partnership
● Travel across regional offices for fundraising and volunteering, engaging staff and working with our beneficiary schools on engagement events
● Write and deliver quarterly impact reporting, making presentations at head office with partnership updates
● Track income and expenditure for the partnership
● Develop new business by introductions from the partnership and also work across the Northwest to develop new leads for the corporate fundraising pipeline
● Plan volunteering days for corporate partners, coordinating with our school’s network, sending briefs and attending some events to ensure smooth coordination
● Attending regular partnership meetings and keeping all account plans up to date utilising our CRM system Salesforce
● Attend Variety fundraising and awareness events representing the charity and speaking confidently about our work
● Collaborate with the programmes team to plan partner Sunshine Coach presentations, Great Days Out, and visits to partner schools
● Participate in staff meetings, fundraising team meetings and contribute to the success of Variety’s fundraising strategy
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Salary: £35,000-£38,000 per annum
Location: Remote working (must be in the Northeast area) (with 2-4 days per month working from a corporate partner office in Newcastle)
Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday - Friday
25 days holiday (we also normally give between Christmas and New Year off, but this is not contractual). In addition, after one year's continuous service, there will be an extra 2 days annual holiday added for every complete year of service, up to a maximum of five days' extra holiday.

We’re looking for two, mutually-supporting, Finance Business Partners to join our Finance team at Woodgreen, where their insight and initiative will help shape the future of our charity in these newly created positions.
Our successful candidates will individually and collectively contribute to the effective financial management of Woodgreen Pets Charity and its trading subsidiary, Wood Green Enterprises Limited (“WGEL”). They will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders to provide expert financial guidance, insight, challenge, and assurance across a wide range of financial management, planning and analysis activities.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, but working independently within the charity and often with minimal supervision, you will be confident using your own initiative to identify opportunities, risks, and solutions. You will provide actionable insights for budget holders, whilst maintaining rigorous attention to the provision of accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with relevant policies and procedures, and robust audit-ready record keeping. You will:
- Build trust with decision makers and budget holders so that Finance Business Partner analysis, advice and guidance is actively sought and adds value in generating desired business outcomes.
- Provide insightful financial analysis, promoting commercial and risk awareness to inform decision making, providing constructive challenge and ensuring that financial governance, control and alignment to Woodgreen’s strategic plans is maintained.
- Be highly visible and engage early in supporting projects and leading them where required. This will include the development of the financial aspects of business cases, particularly the financial aspects which ensure that business cases are of a consistent high quality and are robust and accurate.
The two roles will be equivalent, offering similar opportunities and challenges, but will be responsible for different areas of the charity’s work. One role will partner with budget holders in the Income and Engagement Directorate, which includes responsibilities for regular audits of Woodgreen’s retail estate and may involve some regional travel. The second role will partner with budget holders in the Pet and Corporate Services directorates, plus the CEO as the lead director for WGEL.
If you have:
- a detailed understanding of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, IF statements, and other advanced functions;
- the ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data and understand complex interdependencies;
- strong influencing, communication and negotiating skills;
- a strategic mindset;
- are emotionally intelligent, can see the bigger picture, and consider the human impact behind the numbers;
