We are working in partnership with a Richard House Children’s Hospice to secure their new Corporate Fundraiser. Richard House helps children and their families in East London to lead as happy a life as possible when dealing with a life-limiting health condition. From the moment a child is diagnosed with a life-limiting, life-threatening or complex health condition everything changes. These changes affect the whole family, which is why Richard House feel it is vital not only to provide care to the child but to support the whole family. As a member of the fundraising team, you will directly support the charity’s work, as the majority of their services are funded thanks to the generosity of their supporters. 

The Corporate Fundraiser will be responsible for managing a portfolio of prospects and partners, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey. Key responsibilities will include prospect research and new business development, compelling proposal and proposition creation, account management and event and campaign planning. The role will be hands on, focused on operational fundraising that delivers crucial short- and medium-term funding impact, as well as longer-term and sustainable corporate income for Richard House.

This role is offered on an interim basis, but with the option to become permanent.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Proven ability to deliver income and activity targets in corporate fundraising, with a strong knowledge of corporate fundraising techniques.
• A track record in fundraising with evidence of the successful stewardship of four-figure and above partnerships/gifts, ideally with some exposure to multi-year partnerships.
• Experience of building bespoke fundraising propositions for corporate partners.

Excellent communication and relationship building skills and an ability to interact with prospects and partners at all levels will be key.

Living in the North West, we're 25% more likely to be diagnosed with cancer than elsewhere in the UK and many cancers are much more common across the region. The region also suffers from extreme social-deprivation and health inequalities which, when combined, lead to a lower-than-average life-expectancy and poorer quality of life for our communities.

Community fundraising is an important vehicle to challenge this - by raising money and awareness.

This role will cover North Manchester up to Lancashire - you'll be homebased with travel across the patch to meet supporters.

What will I be fundraising for?

Recent fundable projects include a groundbreaking annual Regional Report on cancer and the innovative Lab-Coat Learning education programme for the region's schools.

You'll act as the face of the charity out in the community, spreading the word about how fundraising can drive positive change. You'll develop relationships with volunteer fundraisers, community groups and local businesses, encouraging and motivating them to fundraise.

You'll deliver interactive presentations, activities and outreach sessions at schools and volunteer groups, offering support, advice and guidance on how people can supercharge their fundraising.

• Experience working in a face-to-face role, either fundraising, sales, account or volunteer management.

About the role

We are recruiting a Money Adviser (or Trainee Money Adviser) to provide debt advice and casework to residents living within our funder’s area of benefit in North Camden. You will support clients via a mix of telephone, digital, and face-to-face appointments, helping them address complex debt problems and improve their financial wellbeing.

You’ll provide advice on the full range of debt issues – helping clients reduce their debts, increase their income, and gain the confidence to manage their money effectively. You’ll work towards achievable targets and high-quality standards, maintain accurate case records, contribute to local outreach work, and support clients in accessing income maximisation opportunities including benefits, grants and cost reductions.

Who we’re looking for

Experienced Money Adviser

We’re seeking an experienced adviser with:

• At least two years’ recent debt advice casework experience
• Ideally, the Certificate in Money Advice Practice (CertMAP) and
• Approval as a Debt Relief Order (DRO) intermediary
• Confidence in managing complex cases and working to quality standards
• A client-centred approach and a commitment to achieving positive, lasting outcomes

We will support your continuing professional development through supervision, training and opportunities to grow your expertise.

Trainee Opportunity

• Have significant experience in delivering generalist, benefits or housing advice

About the Role

The two Communications Officers will work closely and collaboratively to help deliver the diocesan strategy and tell the story of the diverse church communities in the Diocese.

This role will focus particularly on the development and delivery of digital media content including social media campaigns; planning, scripting and filming video content and managing social media channels.

What you’ll do:

• Create, coordinate and support imaginative communications campaigns to support the diocesan strategy
• Source, generate and publish content about the good news of the mission and ministry in the diocese through both traditional and digital media platforms
• Respond to media enquiries and provide communication and PR support
• Develop, manage and maintain the diocesan website as a key platform for the delivery of diocesan resources, news and information
• Provide training and support to parishes on communication best practice
