About the role

As the Project Officer for Dartmoor, you will deliver the Bike It Moor project, which forms part of the Dartmoor’s Dynamic Landscapes (DDL) programme. You will work in partnership and collaboration with other the DDL partners, who are also delivering projects as part of DDL, to accomplish shared objectives and targets. The DDL programme is led by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) and made possible by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund.  Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to offer this exciting new role.

You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities in the project areas, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling) to school. 

You will plan and deliver practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop-in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also plan and deliver day and overnight cycling and walking experiences, giving pupils the opportunity to explore and enjoy the local green landscape, immerse pupils in the natural heritage of the area.

You will report directly to the local Project Manager and will recruit, train and support local volunteers on the project, as well as engaging with project officers across the South region and the UK.

Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required to be completed by the successful person. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.

About you

You should have experience of working with young people from a wide variety of backgrounds and be able to adapt your approach to meet varying needs. You must demonstrate evidence of planning and delivering engaging and interactive group workshops and activity sessions, as well as experience of events planning.

You will have experience of delivering successful behaviour change projects, ideally with a physical activity focus, and have an understanding of community based or environmental projects.

You will be a skilled communicator, with the ability to connect with different audiences ranging from children, parents, school staff and the wider community.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) exists so nobody in Scotland suffers or dies because medical help cannot get there in time. People can get sick or have accidents anywhere and anytime. But in Scotland there are places where urgent medical help cannot reach people. Or help gets there too late. And when lives are at risk every minute matters. The Role
As part of an ongoing strategy of development, SCAA is looking for a highly motivated, focussed and committed individual to help increase the profile of the service and raise the funding required to continue to provide support across Scotland.

The Partnerships Fundraiser will become a pivotal role for SCAA so we are looking for the right person to take the SCAA lifesaving message to corporate partners and help them deliver a real impact on lives across Scotland. The successful candidate will be expected to develop the role to assist SCAA in achieving their ambitious goals. They will achieve this by developing a portfolio of transformational partnerships that drive strategic growth. The Partnerships Fundraiser will be part of a dynamic team who are passionate about supporting our corporate partners, demonstrating the contribution they make to our critical service through their donations of time and money. As well as working alongside the fundraising and communications team the successful candidate will be working with the SCAA pilots and paramedics.

This role will be based either in Perth, at Scone Airport, or at our Aberdeen base, at Aberdeen Airport, where our SCAA emergency response helicopters and crew are located. We are looking for someone with a strong news sense and experience in Press and Public Relations. You will have a demonstrable background of proactively getting organisations involved in the public conversations that matter – while reflecting the confidential nature and sensitivities around domestic abuse and mental health. We aim to proactively generate more awareness of our work and its impact, including our unique position in the women’s and mental health sectors.

The role will be responsible for proactive and reactive media relations; effective engagement on social media; developing engaging content for our website; drafting copy for and producing marketing materials, including our e-newsletter. • Support the planning, development, and roll-out of local products or programmes across the North West region. 
• Maintain accurate records of product performance, usage, and feedback using insight data. 
• Assist in gathering and analysing member feedback and insight to inform product development. 
• Prepare reports on product impact and performance for internal and external stakeholders. 
• Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring that product milestones are met.  

Partnership Management: 

• Act as the first point of contact for local partners. 
• Support onboarding processes for new partners, including negotiations and relationship management. 
• Build strong relationships with existing partners, understanding their needs and helping them get the most out of our services/products. 
• Coordinate partnership activities such as events, pilots, reviews, and communications. 
• Review and monitor insight to track engagement and opportunities. 
• Act as the liaison between cross-functional teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

General: 

• Represent the organisation in meetings, regional events, and occasionally conferences. 
• Work closely with CSSC Head Office and remote teams to ensure alignment across activities. 
• Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and efficiency opportunities. 
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to plan go-to-market strategies, ensuring successful product launches.  

Person Specification: 

Essential: 

• Proven experience in a coordination role, ideally involving product, project, or partnership work. 
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills. 
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. 
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal. 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. 
• Willingness to travel within the North West Region as required. 
• Proven track record of launching and managing successful products. 
• Keen eye for detail and understanding of UX best practises.  
• Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage competing demands.  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative approach with the ability to quickly build rapport with stakeholders. 

Desirable: 

• Experience in a product-led or partnership-driven organisation. 
• Understanding of customer journey and member insight. 
• Familiarity with data analysis tools or reporting platforms.
• Experience working in or with the public, education, or non-profit sectors.

This role is an Account Management and New Business split and would suit someone with great communications skills, who is bursting with energy and creativity, and unafraid to try new approaches. In this role you will:

• Build and manage a fast paced and highly effective new business pipeline for opportunities within a 25-150k threshold
• Prospect, engage, pitch and win new business opportunities with high value corporates at a partnership value between 25-150k
• Manage, steward and relationship build with our current partners to ensure partnership uplift
• Work with project teams to collate accurate reporting and impact data for the partnership accounts you manage and look for impact opportunities for your pipeline prospects
• Collaborate with teams across Carers Trust to build pitch decks, proposal toolkits and engagement tools for the corporate team to deliver to partners and prospects
• Work with the Corporate Manager and Head of Corporate to sell and scale our new employability offer to corporate prospects
