Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced PR & Communications Lead to take ownership of our media strategy and help elevate the Hospice’s profile. You will manage all communications functions including media relations, branding, internal/external messaging, digital content, and event promotion.
Key Duties Include:
- Developing and delivering a PR & communications plan aligned with the Hospice strategy
- Acting as the main point of contact for all media and press enquiries
- Managing the Hospice website, newsletters, and social media presence
- Supporting income generation through high-quality marketing materials
- Writing press releases, managing media visits, and arranging press conferences
- Maintaining consistent branding across all content and publications
- Building strong relationships with internal teams, supporters, and stakeholders
- Monitoring media coverage and evaluating campaign effectiveness
You will have a recognised Public Relations or Journalism qualification (CIPR or NCTJ) and at least one years experience in a media/communications environment. Strong writing, editing, and digital media skills are a must.

The Role
In this role, you will provide first-line advice and guidance on payroll and benefits processing, compliance, discrepancies, and queries. You will support the Payroll and Benefits Lead with monthly and year-end processes, assist with internal and external audit processes and support the administration of the workplace pension schemes and other employee benefits. Additionally, you will be responsible for regularly updating payroll and benefits-related intranet content.
You will also support the HR Systems and Information Lead with providing technical advice and guidance on our HR systems. This will include assisting with user training and systems administration, such as enhancements, testing, and upgrades. You will help maintain the HR report repository and training materials and regularly update HR systems-related intranet content.
Furthermore, you will stay updated with HR and payroll legislation and best practices, identify opportunities for continuous business improvement, and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations while maintaining accurate records.

To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrable experience in Payroll and HR Systems administration, proficiency in HR and Payroll Information Systems, particularly iTrent, and strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
· Be the positive, passionate face and first point of contact for the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) team.
· Build first-class and long-term relationships through telephone calls and emails with our supporters to ensure they have the best fundraising experience at Alzheimer’s Research UK.
· Provide central stewardship support to a remote-based team of Regional Fundraising Officers (RFOs) to ensure effective delivery of the SLF strategy and budget.
· Provide administrative support for the whole of the SLF team, primarily to the home-based RFOs.
· Support the Sporting Events Team with recruitment and stewardship of events.
· Work with our Corporate Teams to effectively steward our partner companies.

Spotting Potential
· As the central point of contact for the SLF team, you will effectively and consistently spot opportunities to build networks among our fundraising community and flag these to the relevant members of the team.
· Identify and research potential community group and business partnerships for SLF teams.
· Use data reports to spot fundraising trends and identify opportunities.
· Help spot opportunities and contact supporters as part of our re-engagement process to encourage repeat fundraising.
· Effectively communicate ARUK’s legacy messages to supporters via telephone and in writing.
Collaboration
· Build strong relationships with teams across the organisation in order to work collaboratively, allowing you to offer the best stewardship journey to our supporters.

Reporting to the Head of Data Services, the Data Officer will meet data needs relating to the management and delivery of supporter and engagement products. About the role
As the Project Officer for Dartmoor, you will deliver the Bike It Moor project, which forms part of the Dartmoor’s Dynamic Landscapes (DDL) programme. You will work in partnership and collaboration with other the DDL partners, who are also delivering projects as part of DDL, to accomplish shared objectives and targets. The DDL programme is led by Dartmoor National Park Authority (DNPA) and made possible by a grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we are able to offer this exciting new role.
You will engage and work with selected schools and their wider communities in the project areas, developing and delivering fun, engaging and innovative activities and events. These will be inclusive and promote and enable all forms of active travel (walking, cycling, scooting and wheeling) to school.
You will plan and deliver practical skills (like cycle and scooter skills sessions, bike maintenance and led walks and rides), information events (such as assemblies, drop-in sessions, pop up stands), competitions, incentive programmes and classroom sessions. You will also plan and deliver day and overnight cycling and walking experiences, giving pupils the opportunity to explore and enjoy the local green landscape, immerse pupils in the natural heritage of the area.
You will report directly to the local Project Manager and will recruit, train and support local volunteers on the project, as well as engaging with project officers across the South region and the UK.
Due to the nature of the role, a full DBS is required to be completed by the successful person. Candidates should be based within the geographical area with regular travel expected.

Overview of the Team
The Corporate Services team provides essential strategic and operational support across the organisation. Our governance function oversees compliance, risk management, and performance frameworks. The finance team manages budgets, financial planning, and reporting. All of this contributes to effective decision making. Initial Telephone interview - shortlisted candidates will be invited for a Telephone interview

If you are shortlisted from the Telephone Interview, you will be invited to a formal interview, which will consist of the following:

A Presentation topic will be shared with you in advance

60-minute Panel Interview with members of the SLT / Board of Trustees
-
Questions will be shared with you before the interview so that you can prepare.
