In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

Strategy, vision and impact [25%]

• Be at the forefront of leading Resurgo’s ‘big picture’ vision of a transformed society, empowering churches to transform young lives 
• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure effective recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme 
• Oversee the reporting of the Centre outcomes and ensure the Spear Programme is delivered in line with agreed targets 

Leadership, line management and training [25%]

• Lead your team with confidence; spurring them on in Resurgo’s mission; invest in a team culture of excellence, belonging and fun 
• Manage and develop the Lead Coach and Graduate Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development. This includes weekly 1:1s, performance reviews and regular feedback
• Equip your team to drive change through a data informed approach, and keep them accountable to agreed targets for the Spear Programme

Relationship management [20%]

• Manage great relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, donors, and your Board of Trustees 
• Embed into your local church; working closely with your Spear Trustees and congregation, and actively participating in their mission and events
• Partner with the Spear Trustees and assist in implementing their funding strategy by helping to build corporate and donor relationships. For example, by hosting prospective donors in the Training Room

Delivery of the Spear Programme [20%]

• Support group and 1-1 coaching with numerous 16-24-year-olds: equipping them with practical work-ready skills and resilient mindsets 
• Provide guidance to the Lead Coach in the training room when dealing with behavioural and safeguarding situations and upskill coaches with consistent coaching feedback
• Use a coaching approach to engage young people in challenging conversations that will enable them to take responsibility and over significant barriers to employment 

Operations [10%]

• Liaise with relevant staff regarding site operations and work to resolve any issues as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies

As Director of Finance you will lead on all financial aspects of the transtion as the Movement for Reform Judaism and Liberal Judaism merge to form a single unified organsation, Progressive Judaism.  This post will provide crucuial oversight during this period of change, laying foundations for strong financial governance and operational excellence in the new entity.

Key Responsibilities

Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of up around 10 young people, using coaching skills to transform their attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work
• Prepare and deliver coaching sessions on a weekly basis and find creative ways of developing ongoing relationships with Spear Trainees. This includes running application workshops with past Trainees as well as maintaining records and reporting on statistics

Relationship management

• Build and manage relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including referrers, local businesses, and other organisations
• You will support with job fairs, mock interview days and welcoming external visitors to the centre

Church Community

• Spear South Wales is run in partnership with Citizen Church, meaning you will work alongside a vibrant church staff team and have the support of the church in the running of the programme
• You will be required to establish a personal presence within the community, and build a strong and committed network of supporters in the partner church. While it's desirable that this is your regular place of worship, we would consider candidates already in other local churches who are unable to move

Overview of the Chief Outreach Officer

This role will play a vital part in helping Winston’s Wish turn up the dial across our corporate partnerships fundraising. As our Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, you will be responsible for growing income from new and existing corporate supporters through creative fundraising and engagement plans and efficient account management, ensuring all partnerships have an excellent experience of supporting Winston’s Wish and understand the impact of their support on the lives of grieving children.

Working with a high level of autonomy, but within a supportive and friendly team, you will develop a live pipeline of prospects, be creative in delivering ways to keep corporate supporters engaged and provide strong stewardship to foster long-term and sustainable partnerships.

Main Responsibilities

Account Management and Stewardship

• Confidently manage a portfolio of existing corporate supporters who, together, make a significant difference to the lives of grieving children.
• Support the delivery of the corporate supporter activities, contributing to a team target.
• Ensure all supporter records are accurate, compliant, and up-to-date on our database, and document all corporate engagement activity.
• Execute and adapt bespoke campaigns.
• Maintain an awareness of corporate giving trends, news, events, campaigns and legislation in the UK and pick up on opportunities or topical issues that will enhance the charity.
• Provide comprehensive stewardship for our corporate supporters.
• Prepare regular communications, rewards and incentives and feedback.
• Tailor impact reports to ensure supporters understand and are inspired by the impact of their support.
• Seek out value added benefits such as generating awareness of the charity, volunteering, gifts in kind, introductions, attendance at events and pro-bono work.

Fundraising

• Identify new prospects in areas and industries where the charity is less known.
• Manage pipeline, approaches and KPIs to meet ambitious income targets.
• Provide support, where appropriate, for wider fundraising activity to develop opportunities across different fundraising areas.
• Work with our Events Manager to leverage and maximise corporate participation in our evolving events programme.
• Deliver and submit creative and persuasive pitches, proposals and applications.
• Explore, develop and expand ways in which businesses can support the charity through new corporate supporter products and platforms to cultivate new and enhance existing relationships, e.g. employee volunteering, Charity of the Year, cause-related marketing, sponsorships and point of sale opportunities.
• Continually raise the profile of Winston’s Wish by networking and representing the charity at events as required.

Person Specification

• Excellent relationship building and application writing skills. Experience in Trust fundraising or an equivalent field is desirable but not essential.
• Some knowledge of statutory fundraising is desirable but not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Management

• Provide tailored, high-quality stewardship to a range of large and medium-sized Trusts & Foundations.
• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities and build relationships with new Trusts and Foundations to further grow this income stream.
• Prioritise research to constantly develop future pipeline.
• Work with Head of Philanthropy and other senior stakeholders in engaging potential funders and managing strategic Trusts & Statutory partners.

Write applications and reports

• Develop compelling funding applications for Trusts and occasionally statutory funders, articulating Resurgo's vision and strategy to persuasively engage new donors with a focus on raising five and six-figure grants.
• Stay ahead of sector trends, media, and political context to market Resurgo's interventions in a compelling way.
• Develop general communications on the work of Resurgo to inspire and update our Trust audience.
• Produce reports and updates on the impact of our work for funders in a timely manner. 

Data Management and Monitoring

• Update our internal database (Salesforce) with all donor interactions, donations and other details ina timely and efficient manner and with strong attention to detail, and analyse data to give insights' and drive future activity.
• Manage the Trusts & Foundations and Statutory pipelines and report on income and other KPIs, and ensure Trusts & Foundations team meets monthly targets and deadlines.

Line Management

• Actively manage and develop the Trusts & Foundations Executive to help them grow personally and in their role.

The Spear Centre Manager will work as part of the Citizen Church staff team to oversee the delivery of Spear—an employability programme equipping and empowering unemployed 16-24 year-olds to overcome barriers to employment and turn their lives around by moving into sustainable work or further education.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with local referral agencies to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear Programme is effective.
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network and create opportunities for volunteering, and jobs for Spear completers.
• Assist the Spear Trust in implementing their funding strategy by supporting with corporate relationships, and hosting local partners and donors on visits to the Training Room.

Oversight of the Spear Programme

• As a confident communicator, you will lead group sessions of around 10 yoing people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach.
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo, Citizen Church and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.

Line management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.

Church Community

• Spear South Wales is run in partnership with Citizen Church, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
• You will be required to establish a personal presence withing the community as your regular place of worship, and supprot the Spear Coach and Spear Trust in buildiing a strong and committed network of supporters int he partner church to help source employment, funding and volunteer opportunities for Spear.
• Ensure the Spear Programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site Management

• Liaise with relevant staff on site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy workspaces in line with health and safety policies.

This role will oversee two of our flagship programmes: the WellChild Nurses and Better at Home programme.

Purpose of the role:

Working alongside the Director of Programmes and wider programmes team, the successful candidate will ensure that the collective knowledge and skills of both our national nurse network and our flagship Better at Home suites are embedded into the Charity’s strategy and activities. The post holder will also be instrumental in growing these networks as well as supporting the growth of the projects.

WellChild currently have over 50 nurse posts across the UK and 13 Better at Home training facilities. The successful delivery of these programmes is integral to the charity and ensures that children with complex health needs and their families can access specialist support in their area when they need it. This is a key role within the WellChild team which is responsible for the day-to-day delivery and management of agreed projects within WellChild’s charitable programmes. With the support of the team, you will be able to operate under a high level of autonomy to deliver on these organisational charitable objectives and be responsible for managing relationships with key stakeholders, including health professionals to maximise the outcomes for children with complex health needs and their families.
