We have an exciting opportunity to join Sue Ryder as our Senior Public Relations Manager to help raise the profile of the charity and increase the public understanding and awareness of our work and our services. Reporting to the Head of PR & Internal Communications you will develop and lead a national PR strategy for Sue Ryder, raising awareness for a number of projects, services and campaigns.
About you:
We are looking for somebody with extensive experience of working in a national media or PR team, ideally within a charity. You will have significant experience of managing reputation management issues along with supporting governmental lobbying and influencing and affecting change in policy.
Experience of delivering pro-active PR campaigns with an excellent understanding of the media and experience of managing external PR agencies. You will be a highly proficient writer with the ability to direct and manage projects with multiple stakeholder involvement..
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and lead a national PR strategy for Sue Ryder, with the aim of supporting income generation and increasing public understanding of the charity and measured against KPIs
· Manage and lead a responsive and pro-active national PR team which operates an out of hours service
· Deliver 2 x pro-active PR campaigns per year which meet set project KPIs
· Work to position Sue Ryder as an expert commentator on end of life and bereavement care within the national media
· Manage reputation management issues with the support of the Head of PR
· Manage our current roster of celebrity ambassadors and deliver against a celebrity outreach strategy to bring additional high profile supporters on board.
· Manage the retained PR agency ensuring that projects are delivered on time and on budget and achieving agreed evaluation metrics.
· Line management of the Case Studies Manager, National PR Manager and National PR Officer
· Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation, including members of the executive leadership team.
· Manage the day-to-day reporting against the PR departmental budget

What you'll do:
Lead and motivate your team to ensure the championing of and maintenance of a positive local culture within your service
Deliver effective supervision and team meetings with staff and ensure that information, reporting and communication

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. We also campaign for systems change that addresses the root causes of offending, reduces the harmful impact of prison, and creates workable, community-based alternatives to imprisonment.
Job Description:
Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Client Care: provide high-quality, trauma-responsive advocacy and emotional and practical support to women in contact with, or at risk of being in contact with the criminal justice system
- Monitoring and Evaluation: accurately document all client interaction on Women in Prison’s case management database, working in line with Women in Prison’s case management policy at all times
- Communication: develop and utilise a variety of strategies to communicate effectively with women using our services, colleagues, external organisations, stakeholders and the general public

We have an exciting opportunity to join Oasis Hub Waterloo, adding strategic leadership capacity to the Hub and holding the vision of Christ-centred community development, together with the Executive Director & Senior Minister.
We are looking to appoint an experienced, dynamic leader to work with the present Executive Director & Senior Minister on the leadership of Oasis Church Waterloo, on HR, team development and leadership, and on the Hub budget/finance strategy.
Alongside the Executive Director & Senior Minister, they will also have a focus on developing Oasis Church Waterloo, including developing and leading church services, nurturing discipleship, pastoral care, involving children and young people, and bringing creativity to our church activities. They will also have great interpersonal skills, be passionate about creating opportunity, will be entrepreneurial, innovative, and fully committed to the ethos, values and aims of Oasis.

Key responsibilities:
· Alongside the Executive Director & Senior Minister, providing strategic oversight and development of the community team and church.
· Operational management, including wider team systems, policies and procedures.
· Financial management.
· Risk management.
· Governance.
· Support the Executive Director & Senior Minister to lead the life of the congregation of Oasis Church Waterloo.
The successful post holder must have:
· Experience of leading community delivery.
· Experience of working for/being on the leadership team of a church.
· Experience of growing projects from the initial start-up phase through to maturity.
· Ability to act strategically and to be involved in direct delivery.
· Recent experience of working with young people and communities.
· Experience of strategic management within a school, statutory, voluntary or commercial organisation.
