The role

Primary purpose of job:
As the service manager you will manage all aspects of the Direct Intervention (DI) service and manage its team to deliver high quality and expert interventions and a person-centred approach to those at risk of ‘honour’-based abuse (HBA) and harmful practices. You will have responsibility for students on placement and volunteers with the DI service, and will create an environment that is safe for our clients, staff and volunteers.
You will be required to maintain current partnerships and build future partnerships where relevant to the DI service and the organisation across professionals. You will work closely with the internal Savera UK team to develop and translate our ambitious plans into reality.
Dimensions:
- This post reports directly to the CEO.
- Required to work closely with the Communications team to ensure relevant information and case studies are provided, and to encourage client involvement to help with the organisation’s campaign messages and to amplify the voices of our survivors.
- Also to work closely with the Communications team, using the organisation’s branding and creating communications to different audiences for impactful engagement.
- The post-holder will have line-management responsibilities for all staff within the Direct Intervention team, including volunteers and student placements.
- Working with and supporting the CEO, you will be required to contribute to the development of the organisation’s strategies and development, as and when required.

To deliver money and energy advice service for kidney patients struggling with their energy and water bills and other costs of living challenges. You will provide subject matter expert support within our Patient Support Services team, and will work closely with our Patient Support & Advocacy Officers to develop and grow this service in your area.
Summary
To raise awareness of the service and build strong relationships with kidney patients, professionals, and other kidney stakeholder groups in your defined geographic region.
Key responsibilities
• With support, establish the Kidney Care UK Money & Energy Advice Service in the region for patients and carers at risk of fuel poverty to access independent support on money and energy matters
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the Money & Energy Advice Service across the region, effectively managing an ongoing caseload

Working closely with the Product & Innovation Manager, you will play a key role in delivering the fundraising strategy, leading on the delivery of our individual giving and legacy marketing campaigns across a range of channels. Key Responsibilities:
Income generation
- Play a key role in the implementation and delivery of the individual giving and legacy marketing strategy
- Support the growth of individual giving income in line with annual targets
- Develop and deliver regular cash and legacy marketing appeals to a high level, including:
- Developing propositions and cases for support
- Create compelling direct marketing materials, including writing persuasive copy and developing strong creative content

The Person

Essential:

Overview of the Philanthropy Manager role and the team
Barnabas Aid is seeking a proactive and experienced Philanthropy Manager to join our International Outreach team. This new role is integral to ensuring the growth and sustainability of our work through regular or one time organisational and personal donations. The Philanthropy Manager will develop and implement a comprehensive strategy in support of this, targeting potential supporters who wish to leave a lasting impact through Barnabas’ work. The role will involve cultivating relationships with current and prospective organisational and private UK based and international supporters, overseeing communications and marketing strategies, and ensuring that Barnabas Aid’s fund raising programme is promoted effectively across all channels.

You will be an important member of the Senior Management Team, supporting the CEO to drive income growth.
